My Beautiful 30th Champagne Birthday Celebration

On April 30, 2015 I turned 30 years old. They say that the day you are born of the month and the age you turn becomes your champagne birthday. It was a big milestone I celebrated about a week or so ago. On May 1st, 2015 All my great friends who are like family to me came and celebrated my birthday with me. There were so many surprises for me one after the other and I was absolutely touched and from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all the hard work, determination, dedication and everything that went to giving me the best birthday celebration of my life.

This week has just been incredibly overwhelming and the beautiful feelings I had and still do. I was so absolutely touched and surprised so beautifully, that even as a writer/blogger myself, I just didn’t know and have all the words to say how grateful I am for all the excellent incredible detailing that went into my beautiful party. I apologize deeply that it took me a while to put all my full feelings and input on my birthday celebration.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge, and thank my sister/good friend Aline Rosy of many many years now, who is a ray of sunlight and brightness in my life and 2-3 months before my birthday, when we were discussing my birthday celebration details, and where I want to celebrate my birthday, it took a while for me to decide where and we finally decided to have the party at my house. So as the weeks and days got closer, Aline went to the ends of the earth to make sure my birthday will be a very memorable and special one and she sure demonstrated excellency from her caring heart, her beautiful soul into making everything so perfect. Not one thing was left out.

As my birthday week finally arrived, My Sisters Aline and Talar came and assisted with decorating my place to make it all ready. Now as the day on May 1st when I had my party arrived, I had one surprise come to me after the other. It was fantastic and absolutely beautiful.

Aline

She made this incredible bean dip with cheese, and other yummy ingredients, which was so delicious. I could not stop eating it and which was all finished the very next day with left overs.
– She also ordered and custom made a special yummy birthday cake which was the Facebook Like Thumbs up symbol made by Alice Lumsden Vee which represented me and my social media journey. I said in my mind, I have to cut this beautiful cake now?
– She also surprised me with delicious image cookies by Passion For Desserts with images from Bradley Cooper, Social Media, I love Montreal, Boston, Champagne Bottles, Armenia Flag, My Image, my 30th birthday, My Expertise in Cooking, also Travel, done by Alxiomir Portales.
– She then surprised me with a beautiful collage on a big board filled with all my great memories, and everyone who is in my circle, and my world with stickers and everything that represent me and my life and my moments from the past to the present.
– Also All the other detailing that was beautifully thought of and done.

Aline’s excellent efforts did not go unnoticed and everything went so well. That night will forever be embedded in my heart and it will spoken about for years to come. I am absolutely grateful for everything. I cannot thank her enough. I love you so much, so deeply. Not just for everything you did, but just for being you, and for being one of the greatest friends well more so part of my family, for being there for me, and loving me unconditionally. Hugs and kisses. I am truly blessed.
—————————————————————————————————————————–

Thank you to everyone who contributed to my birthday, my best friend and sister Talar, My boyfriend Armen who surprised me with 24 red roses, who brought the food, the colourful 30th birthday decoration theme, the balloons and so much you also contributing to my birthday. I love you so much! My brother, my great friends who brought delicious desserts, food, drinks, and everything else. You all are part of my family and I love you all so deeply. Kisses and hugs… This was the best birthday ever.

To all those who could not be there to celebrate with me, but were there in spirit, thank you for being part of my life. I wouldn’t be where i am today without you all.

God bless everyone!

High Heels and Parties – The Logic of Shoe Removal

In our lives a lot of us if not some, we tend to care so much about how our appearance looks when we go to parties, gatherings and other functions. Well, that is important, but one thing that doesn’t make sense is that some wear really uncomfortable high heels and some are so high that you see people not able to walk, but they will suffer the pain, anguish and discomfort just to make a statement and then take their shoes off almost halfway through the event. People want to look great in them and look taller.

I know high heels look so great, and its something that some value and are so into, however wearing high heels can pose dangers to posture, health of the legs, back and also strains. Especially when women who are pregnant and wear extremely high heels and I have seen it and I just think to myself. That is not right. Comfort should be #1 when When looking for footwear. It is so important to feel comfortable. I mean if you can pull off wearing heels and you are committed to wearing them, by all means go ahead, but in the long run, comfort rules everything else.

Why go to parties and bring extra footwear, and bring extra stuff you do not need, or bringing flip flops and flats to wear when from the beginning if you wear comfortable shoes, you do not have to worry about changing your shoes and you can be carefree all night. I am not telling you not to wear heels. You are free to do and wear whatever, but just looking out for your best interest.

When I get married hopefully someday, I will be wearing flats as a bride and my bridesmaids will also be wearing flats, because we will be up on our feet almost all day and I want my bridesmaids, maid of honor to be as comfortable as possible and enjoy the day and have one less thing to worry about when they say, My feet are killing me, I want to change into flip flops or flats. Do not want any of my girls to be uncomfortable. Who cares about Heels? If some brides are so worried about the shoes to be high, you have to think about the whole day process during the wedding ceremony, taking photos, standing a lot and dancing at the reception party, then also getting dressed and stuff in the beginning of the day. Its so important to be comfortable always and not put unnecessary strain on the body. Especially when you are part of a wedding party and when you are participating in standing up a lot.

This also means for conventions, and businesses as well. Also actresses and filming movies and TV Shows. I do not see anything wrong with wearing flats or small heels.

I myself, cannot wear heels. It has to be completely flat or just a small heel of a couple of centimeters in length, but I cannot believe people can wear 3-4-5-6 inch heels and a lot more higher. It is crazy. My back and my legs hurt by just looking at others walk in them. My feet hurt with just wearing an inch or less sometimes..

When I was a teenager and graduating grade 8 and 12th grade in High school, during my prom, I wore huge heels and at 17-18 years old, I began to feel uncomfortable. I said to myself, why should I suffer in pain and discomfort? I began to wear flats after that age. I just cannot stand wearing heels. Not going to damage my body, my health, my posture for the sake of wearing them.

Do you wear heels? Are you against wearing them? or do you love wearing them? Would love to hear what you have to say as well.

Why Deny Genocide?

As we are born into this world, we all come from different backgrounds, cultures, heritage, and religions. A lot of people in this world have been affected/effected by some sort of Genocide, War, and have lost our ancestors, loved ones, prominent important figures, have lost homes, villages, towns, and lands due to violent hate crimes which revolve around the jealousy of ones religion. With that being said, I always ask this question? Why deny Genocide? why hide the truth from the world and not recognize and admit wrong-doing? Race and culture discrimination should never be an issue and we should all respect each other. I do not see anything wrong with that.

As an Armenian myself, we have suffered 100 years of denial from the Turkish Ottoman Empire who tried to wipe out our Armenian’s and Armenia with 1.5 Million murdered in the hands of the Turks, but never succeed from April 24, 1915 until 1923. We just recently commemorated the centennial and it still hurts us in many ways that we cannot describe. What hurts the most is that we are being lied to day in and day out by the Turkish groups and the government. So, why deny? I think these nations who have not yet recognized the Armenian Genocide and other Genocides that have happened and are still happening now should be the bigger person’s and to make this world a better place, to make peace in the world and move forward.

I thank the countries and states of USA who have acknowledged and recognized the Armenian Genocide. I really appreciate that so much. To some better late then never. Prevention is always key and that is a huge step forward to a better tomorrow.

The further nations that have not recognized Genocide, the further problems arise and to prevent from such terrible criminal acts to humanity to happen again. Why not take the extra measures and actually make this world a better place for us all, to love each other, to live and let others live their lives happily, healthy and create memories with their loved ones. It is not fair for people to lose loved ones to crime and hate with senseless deaths that could be prevented. These leaders of the world should just recognize especially President Obama of United States as he promised us. He should not have said anything to us Armenians that he will be recognizing the Armenian genocide or else we would not have been so hurt and betrayed, but he did and that is just something that we cannot bare. He has been president for almost the whole 2 terms, and we really thought he would change his ways on the 100th commemoration, but he failed to do so. Why doesn’t he live up to his promise? I think he should be the bigger person and do it for the sake of humanity and for the sake of prevention of future genocides to occur. He would have left the end of his presidency on good terms, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Peoples lives have been cut short due to crimes and violent behavior. Those women, men, children, their families ripped apart, promising futures that were ahead of those came to an unfortunate halt. It is not only disgusting, but horrible as well. It is something so unimaginable. The blood, tears, starvation, violence, stabbing, shooting, severing heads, dismembering bodies, skeletons that flooded our soil, the human remains in our streets of our villages, the smell of death, and decomposing bodies, malnutrition, being left homeless, the cries of the innocent. Why? It does not make sense to me to this day why these things have to happen?

There is always a choice and unfortunately some people and leaders make the wrong choices that impact the rest of us. Stop the killing, stop genocides and make the future brighter and better for us all. Violence, Genocide and wars are definitely not the answer. Lets all stand against these terrible atrocities, to spread love, cheer, positivity around the world and to stop denying the Armenian and other Genocides. Lets all hold each others hands and stand together and create a new humanity of happiness, good health and prosperity.

Our Responsibility of Genocide Recognition Across the World

In the past couple of months I have been asking certain individuals if they are going to be attending the Ottawa, Canada Armenian Genocide Centennial Commemoration on April 24, 2015 from everywhere? As well as people across the world to participate in their local Genocide Centennial Events.

The response was, I went many times, some said I am not going to go, because nothing is changing and what is the point?

My response to them was, 1.5 Million Armenians were massacred, displaced from their homes, families destroyed, valuables and memories all gone, our lands were stolen, our landmarks and Mount Ararat was taken from us from Turks, and they are saying what is the point? Some are saying they are not going to go? You are not willing to sacrifice some of your time in memory of your ancestors?

Well, this is the kind of attitude and negativity that is not welcome. I get very angry when some people say those things. This is especially for those who cannot just sit and do nothing about it. Be true to your heritage, be Proud of who you are, We need to be about it, This is our Armenia, This is our Armenians, This is our Heritage, Culture and our being and existence in the world. We need to stand up against Genocide denial, we need to form unity and we have that important responsibility to prioritize, take a stand and join together to combat denial, to raise awareness. We need to take care of each other, and help each other out. This is including all races, cultures..

In the past month or so, we have gotten so much media coverage, the world knows about us now, and non-Armenians are always discussing us now. It does not matter if you are Armenian or not. This issue of Genocide is universal. All that matters is that all genocides combined that have happened needs awareness, needs recognition and we need to work hard and make sure that Genocide is never repeated. We are responsible for taking care of our Human Identity, Existence and everything else. There is no excuse and no reason in the world, that we cannot take time out of our lives and protect our every being. This is not just us, but everyone.

We have advanced so much in the world right now and this is such an awesome thing to see Armenia, Armenians and the Genocide getting so much media attention. Millions and Millions of people know about us now and that is something so incredible. Thank you to Mrs. Amal and MR. George Clooney, the Kardashians, Kanye West, Pope Francis, Countries that have recognized the Armenian Genocide, those who are on the verge of doing so, and US States that have also. Thank you to everyone who supports us and who took a stand against Genocide. That is what its all about. Love and take care of each other. Nothing is more beautiful than love, support, friendships, and unity. God bless us all and prevent from genocides from ever happening again.

Thank you Kardashian West Family and Pope Francis

What an incredible week it has been for us Armenians around the world. The Kardashian/West family made a memorable trip to Armenia which we will never forget, They also visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial to lay flowers and pay their respects to the 1.5 Million Armenians that were killed by the Turkish Ottoman Empire and our lands stolen from us, Kim then found out an elderly woman wanted to meet her, so she went and met up with her and gave her a hug. That was very nice of you Kim, Then we see that Kanye West performed in a concert for free, and then jumps into Swan Lake in Yerevan, then Pope Francis Recognizes and uses the word and term “Genocide” in his mass, then followed by Armenian Church songs and prayers.

This is huge recognition that we all needed and it was a long time coming, but we got it. With Millions and Millions of people around the world know our country of Armenia now, know who we are, know about The Armenian Genocide which occurred on April 24, 1915 and with almost 10 days to go until the Genocide’s 100th Centennial, this really made a big difference.

Thank you to Pope Francis, The Kardashians/West families, and all those across the world that helped us raise awareness and also acknowledging us and our beautiful Country of Armenia which made Kanye West smile and made him feel like home. That is something that is so incredible. What a great feeling. I am blown away by it all and how we were trending on Social Media and so many NON-ARMENIANS which have been tweeting, hashtagging, instagraming, and more. That is whats important for people to know about us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Over Sharing on Social Media Really Needs to Stop – Furious 7 Movie

2 days ago when I was observing my News feeds and amongst other social media websites, something really began to bother me in so many ways. One that hit close to home and one that I just cannot believe. I know that the social media has boomed and has become one of the most biggest information hubs of the world, and I never knew how some people can just post anything without thinking until a couple of days ago. I just cannot believe it. It is too much. I mean enough is enough. This really pushed my buttons this time. I cannot endure that disrespectful acts from people. Just because a film just came into theaters it does not mean that you have to right away ruin it for people, and post every single darn thing. It is not cool at all.

With all due respect of the Late Paul Walker and his memory who died in 2013, November..  To all those who were close to him, his loved ones, his Fast family, the fans, I find it very disrespectful and wrong of people who are spoiling, over sharing the movie and taking parts of the movie and putting it out there, spending all that time with creating gif’s, memes, and video posts already on social media sites. This is not good to do, especially when there are such highly devoted Fans of the Furious 7 family and dishonoring Paul’s memory that way. I see people already spoiling the ending and everything and showcasing it to the world to see. It is not fair. People really need to stop that. I do not find it to be amusing at all.

Film Makers, Actors, Actresses, and everyone involved in movies work so hard, the production is hard work, very hard. Some people do not realize how much work, time, tons of money and effort is involved in making these films shine, and for them to make to our local movie theaters, then we have people who copy and use their smart phones or whatever device, to record the movie, to blab it out for everybody else is just so insensitive and down right disgraceful to those people involved in that production and directing.

There is no excuse in the book. It is never right to copy, re-produce something without written consent and permission from the intellectual owner/s of that production or whatever the case maybe. Not just in movies, but in our general life. If something is not yours and if you want it, ask for it, get written permission, do whatever you can to get things in writing before sharing somebody elses work. It is the right thing to do.

Just because it is social media, it does not mean that we have to post everything and anything we hear about, see, and do. Some things are meant to be private.

Furious 7 has not even been a week yet since the April 3rd, 2015 release and I keep seeing all these videos of the movie, and most importantly the best highlights, especially the ending part. I mean seriously? Is this a way some people want to honor and Respect Paul Walker and his cast-mates and film makers?

I saw it on Sunday April 5th, 2015 and I have not given anything away, as should be, but people do not think, people blab everything and it is not very good. Go see it in the theaters or wait to buy the movie, but don’t spoil and ruin it for everyone else who has not seen it yet. I just find that to be really terrible and thoughtless.

So enough is enough… Over Sharing needs to stop. It is really ridiculous having to spoil something for people whom have been looking forward to seeing the movie Furious 7. Instead of keeping people in suspense, and their eagerness to go to the movie theaters or the anticipation of seeing it on DVD in your own homes when the movie comes out. It ruins the fun, it ruins the curiosity. Thanks for understanding my view-point, because it is just craziness.

RIP Paul Walker — I Love you so much.

Furious 7 – One Last Ride – For Paul Walker – In Theater’s Now

On Friday April 3rd, 2015, Furious 7 made its premiere and movie debut in theaters where in about 3-4 days now, it made over 384 Million dollars in the Box office and more. Just over half way through the movie, an unfortunate loss happened to the Fast family, loved ones and fans all across the world, when Paul Walker died of a single vehicle crash where he was a passenger in Los Angeles on November 30, 2013, which put a strain and scar on everyone as well as a terrible shock, which the news spread within seconds, and that feeling will never go away. The production of the movie came to an abrupt halt and got post-poned until the directors and film maker of the movie decided how they will re-write and complete the movie. Paul’s brothers Cody and Caleb completed the rest of the role of Brian O’Connor.

The movie was absolutely incredibly, tastefully and wonderfully done. There was so much action. The Late Paul Walker as well as Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Elsa Pataky, Jordana Brewster and more were actors of the movie. They are all so carefully and excellent chosen actors for Furious 7 and the movie series. I love you all very much.

When I watched it on Sunday April 5th in the evening, the whole theatre was packed. There was not an empty seat. They had the movie playing in different auditoriums because they could not keep up and each theatre was packed. I said to myself, to honor Paul’s memory, I need to go watch it as soon as possible. I could not wait until next week, when I initially had planned to see it. I went to go watch it with friends. I had this feeling and I knew I would be a total emotionally wreck I tell you, I could not stop balling my eyes out. You could hear sniffles and cries throughout the whole theatre as was myself. So many tears were flowing down my cheeks, and the ending of the movie was a beautiful tribute to Paul Walker. Paul definitely put a huge and everlasting impact on everyone. I will not be spoiling it for anybody.

I feel that I want to begin watching Fast and Furious from the beginning and make it like a marathon and watch One Last Ride – Furious 7 once again.

I had written this on Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page on one of his photos and I said “you guys have no idea how much you all mean to me. I love you guys so much. I loved Furious 7 so much, and I want to go and see it again. It was a great movie and the ending and tribute to our Lovely Paul, was incredible and tastefully completed. I ADORE YOU GUYS SO MUCH…. My dream is to meet you all and tell you all personally how much of a great impact you all have put on me and my life. I have followed you guys since the beginning and will forever do so. I support you all 100%. RIP Paul, it will not be the same without you, but as I watch these movies, I will forever see his smile and beautiful soul shine.

Paul, keep smiling in the heavens. Your smile is contagious and beautiful. He made me feel like I knew him personally, he made me feel like he was a good friend of mine, he made me feel like I was close to him. fly your angel wings, Race and rest in paradise PW. We all love you so much. God Rest your soul. With Respect and love, your forever and one of your biggest fans, supporter  Talin Orfali

Forget Me Not Flower – In Memory of The Centennial Armenian Genocide

This month of April 24, 2015 will mark the Centennial of The Armenian Genocide of which occurred 100 years ago in the year 1915. The Republic of Armenia has issued a symbol and emblem presenting the memory of 1.5 Million Armenians who were massacred and killed by Ottoman empire of Turkey. This forget-me-not-flower expresses eternal remembrance, also that evokes the past, the present and the future experiences of our Armenian people. This year the theme is forget-me-not, and this flower is the official emblem worldwide to observe this as the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. The following describes the meaning behind the flower and what it symbolizes:
THE FUTURE:
The five petals represent the five continents
where survivors of the Armenian Genocide found a new home.
The dark purple color is meant to recall the priestly vestments of
the Armenian Church—which has been, is, and will remain at the
heart of the Armenian Christian identity.

THE PRESENT:
The light purple petals represents the unity
of Armenian communities across the world—all of whom stand
together in this 100th year of remembrance.

ETERNITY:
The twelve trapezoids represent the twelve pillars
of the Dzidzernagapert Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan,
Armenia. The yellow color represents light, creativity, and hope.

THE PAST:
The black center represents the sufferings of 1915,
and the dark aftermath of the Armenian Genocide.

***for the Month of April, I will be putting Armenian Genocide banners on my Facebook and will be explaining more about the Armenian Genocide, how Turkish Ottoman Empire Failed to wipe us all out from the earth, as well as introducing to you talented and incredible artists, and more in our Armenian Community which have inspired us and lifted us all up.***

CBC Music Contest – Vote for My Friend Tatevik Sarkisyan

Vote for Drellander – You can vote once a day.
Biographical Info — Copy/Pasted –  Credit to: CBC Searchlight competition – Tatevik Sarkisyan

Tatevik Sarkisyan is a singer/songwriter/producer/performer based in Toronto, Canada. Her main genres are pop and jazz but she also writes dance music, Latin beats, rock’n’roll and country.

Drellander was born Tatevik Sarkisyan from Armenian parents in Moscow. She began her musical journey at the age of 6 as a choir lead and piano performer at school concerts.

She came to Canada at the age of 16 and became known in the Montreal local community for performing a classical repertoire in 8 languages. At 19 she developed a passion for song-writing and presented to a small audience her first musical composition “Time”.

The singer/songwriter/producer now has more than 160 written songs behind her in a variety of styles.

Tatevik has received great reviews for her work including praise from tenor and McGill voice coach Franco Tenelli who says: “One of Tateviks greatest gifts is a beautiful voice that can be used in almost any style of music including classical and pop. In addition she is also a composer and excellent songwriter. This versatility is a unique gift itself and ensures us we have a real talent.”

At 24 Tatevik moved to Toronto and took on the artist name “Drellander” which sounds like “dreamlander”. In 2004 Tatevik collaborated with writer/film director Robert Wilson on a short film A Dying Fall that aired on CBC in July 2006 and won first place at WorldFest Houston. Tatevik’s multiple credits for this film include art direction, craft services, make-up and wardrobe, contract management as well as playing a small part in the movie. Tatevik worked with Robert at Tamerlane Productions until 2009.

In 2011 she recorded her song Oasis with indie music producer and Indie Week judge Dave Thomson of Digital Underdog Productions and released it on iTunes and Amazon via CD Baby. She also produced a music video for the song (directed and edited by Robert Wilson) that is now available on YouTube.

Tatevik launched Drellander Productions in 2012 and is currently looking for funding for her album. She secured a non-exclusive worldwide publishing deal for her songs with the Canadian publisher Jan Cooper Publishing after Jan Cooper represented her at Midem 2012 in Cannes. In the same year she had a performance at the prestigious Mod Club in Toronto organized by Landmark Media. Her song Oasis was promoted with a 2 week radio blast in Canada and US by Avala DSF (currently under Five2Eight umbrella). In February 2013 she was approached and signed with A & R Select to promote her music on radio, in magazines,TV shows, films and commercials in the US. The week of Aug 12, 2013 “Oasis” had spins on CBC Radio. It played on the CBC Radio programs “Mainstreet” (P.E.I.) and “The Bridge” (Windsor, Ontario).

Oasis is the first single from Drellander’s much anticipated debut album. As A & R Select says in their press release: ” Oasis is a metaphor for finding true love. Its message is inspiring, hopeful and creates a deep connection due to its relatable subject matter. This single has an arrangement of that of a movie soundtrack. It incorporates the depth of her skills, the passion of her writing, the beauty of her voice and has a mesmerizing effect on anyone who has the privilege to experience her music.”

In addition to being trained in music and having collaborated with some of the greatest classical voice/piano/composition teachers and performers such as Tamara Goulina (U of T), Eduardo del Campo (McGill, San Francisco Opera), Franco Tenelli (McGill, Metropolitan Opera), Vania Angelova (University of Montreal), Alexandre Solopov (McGill) and Nina Larionova Shishlova (Bolshoi Theatre), Tatevik has also studied science at McGill University and is a graduate of Touro College business school. She now teaches music and voice and her youngest student is 5 years old.

Tatevik is currently working on a few projects. Recently she co-wrote a ballad with producer/sound engineer Sean Michael Paddison called “I love you anyway” that is to be recorded and released this year. Sean has worked on a wide range of projects, including Grammy-winning, JUNO-winning, billboard charting singles and worldwide airplay. He is currently working with Chris Hau. Drellander also plans to record 3 of her original songs: a pop/classical duet “I can see a lifetime (when I look into your eyes)” with renown opera singer Franco Tenelli, a dance hit “Let the rain fall” with Montreal based producer/sound engineer Michael Makhin and another ballad “I’m so in love with you” with Toronto based producer/songwriter/manager/mentor Peter Linseman. Peter has written, produced & released dozens of national & international singles over the past few decades . He is managing the careers of TV Star/country pop artist Kate Todd and dance pop artist Stephanie Braganza. Peter made international history by writing/producing We Will Fly for Laure Shang, a successful single in China. Furious 7 – Paul Walker’s Last Film – Going to be in Tears

Vin Diesel names his baby girl Pauline after Paul Walker – That is so sweet. I got so emotional today and I still am.

Seeing Fast and Furious 7 is going to make me ball my eyes out. I probably won’t even be able to pay attention to the movie. Paul Walker was my all time favourite actor since before the FastFurious movies came out. I felt like I knew him personally and the way he acted toward his family, friends and fans as well as his cast mates was something that was so incredible. Paul will live through me and my heart forever. I always wanted to meet him and never got the chance to. I am still heart broken when I heard of his death. I just did not want to believe. I still don’t believe it, no matter how many times I see the photos, the footage, the news everywhere and articles too.

When I first heard of his death, I never made it a big deal, I said these things happen all the time when a hoax happens or rumors start floating around, then when I saw reports from ABC, CNN, NBC, CTV, right on my facebook news feed, I said Oh my goodness, it is real, then I saw the footage of the burned Porsche and my heart just stopped, I was in utter shock as I had been checking out Facebook on my phone, I kind of wish I didn’t, but I was waiting for a message, but however I remember I was out at a Christmas party just sitting down and enjoying the people and the music at the end of November, 2013 and suddenly my fun and everything just stopped right there, and plus I remember I had a really bad knee after spraining/dislocating it just 10 days before, that is why I was just sitting down and enjoying, so on top of that, I was just crying my eyes out. I wanted to go home.

I was not in the mood after. I don’t know that is how close I felt with Paul Walker. He was truly a beautiful person who cared about everybody and he was such a sweet and lovely soul. God rest your soul Paul. It was very untimely and something your loved ones and fans were not prepared of hearing that terrible news. You were an angel on earth and you have gained and earned your wings in heaven. I love you Paul and I always will.

I will watch your last movie in memory of you, but I can guarantee that I will be crying. Thanks for the memories and the beautiful name and legacy you left behind.

Plea to save Noubar- 7 years ongoing battle with cancer

Sometimes life throws us an unfortunate curve ball of cancer and it is a terrible ordeal one has to go through along with loved ones of that person going through it all. Noubar Yigidbashian is 42 years old who has been going through 7 years of Multiple Myeloma cancer of the blood who definitely needs a miracle to treat him and unfortunately they are short of funds to get that treatment which has put him and his loved ones in a financial burden. They need $700,000 and so far $5, 728 has been raised on this fundraising site called YouCaring.com

http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/plea-to-save-noubar-7-years-ongoing-battle-with-cancer/313686

Noubar makes monthly trips to New York at the Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is from Montreal. He heads to NYC to receive the treatment, however they have run out of money and he is desperate for his life to be saved. Noubar is running out of options as every possible corridor to cure him is becoming scarce.

Noubar has a wife and 2 children one is 12 and one is 16 years of age. They are mainly the reason why he is fighting this unfortunate battle, to beat it, to be healthy again and to engage into his family life once again. He is a great family man with family values. He is supportive, down to earth and beautiful person.

Please donate and share this link amongst your friends and family. No donation is too small. Whatever you can contribute will be greatly appreciated by Noubar Yigidbashian and his loved ones. It will mean the world to them that people are thinking about them and are acting on saving his life and his family as well. Thank you.

Social Media Mistakes We Should Not Make

In the last few years, communication, transmitting information instantly has become a whole lot easier with social media on the rise, and the way some people use social media is great, positive, empowering ways to help others, to inspire and use it wisely, however today I am here to talk to you about the social media mistakes that some people are making, and have made. Some do not even realize the mistakes they make because they think it is socially acceptable in society today, but I am going to decipher them to assist people on making the right choices in social media.

Here are the mistakes of Social Media:

1. Do not get so personal

Do not overshare your personal life with everybody. Nobody needs to know what you are doing constantly, where you are going 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Some things are meant to be kept private. Do not share passwords, credit card information, address, your financial history, amongst what happens in your family, you do not need to share that you are doing laundry, cleaning, eating, having a beverage, when you go to bed, when you shower, and those common things. That is an open invitation to the world to your home and your life. Keep that off the internet.

2. Ridiculously time-wasting trends online.

Just because so many people are trending a ridiculous and derogatory trend, does not mean you have to join in on it. It is like if someone jumps off a cliff, don’t go and do the same thing for the sake of doing it to get out there to get your name noticed. Just don’t fall into that trap. It is a waste of time. Focus on more important trends that actually does make sense in the world.

3. Bringing personal issues that arise amongst friends

Never bring your personal issues with your friends onto social media. Whatever problems and concerns you have with your friend or friends, it is a good idea to take it up with them and not post it on social media and send out negative waves to everyone else. Some may not put peoples name onto it, but people will always put two and two together and decipher who it is, so do not bring personal matters on the internet. Solve problems face to face, be honest and tell each other the truth. Friends will appreciate that. You can lose friends and bonds with people and you do not want that. Do not be an open book and post everything. Things are always meant to be private.

4. Not delivering what you promise your readers

When you say you will be writing an article, or bringing up a particular issue about a certain subject and don’t write about it and do not post it, people will anticipate that article or story and then give up and won’t come back to your site because you are not delivering what you say you will write about. You lose your viewership and followers that way.

5. Not being original and not being yourself.

Do not go with the norm of the internet and make yourself into the common category. There is so much each of us can contribute to social media and the internet in different ways. Be yourself and do not copy everybody else. People can detect a phony and you do not want that type of reputation made against you. Come up with your own content, your style and how you want to portray yourself. If you are going to copy someone, give them full credit, the sources the information came from, who it is from, and try to contact them if you are able to that you are using their content on your website. Not crediting can get you into trouble.

6. Not Optimizing your social media efforts fully.

We all want to succeed and make a name of ourselves in social media, however with each social media site comes settings, layouts and how to keep your social media sites up to date. Look at your stats, followers, engagement to your site, look at different templates, make your social media site eye-catchy, use captions and headlines that grab people’s attention. Go behind the scenes and discover what you can do with social media outlets.

I keep hearing people say, “I do not know how to use certain features, how to get there“, so on and so forth. Well, of course, if you do not do the proper research and play and tweak with all the settings, you won’t know. Give them a try, if you need help, do not hesitate to ask, also each social media site has tutorials, help guides and directions on how to get to certain settings that you want. Don’t be afraid to try new things.

7. Not make yourself searchable on Search engines and social media sites.

When people say that, how come people are not coming to my site? How come people are not liking my posts and commenting? Well, it is because you do not have your site searchable, and because you have to add as much content as possible about a certain issue or whatever you want to address. When you are in social media, it means that you are not private anymore, it means that whatever you post can be searched, and you signed up to be on a social media site, so making stuff private is not so private. If you want a successful engagement to your site, then lift the restrictions in your settings.

8. Never spam and force people.

One mistake made by some people is that, they spam the internet everywhere, every group page, every website imagined, people post their websites, social media articles and content and force people to come by a website, and especially spam every persons news feed and repeat tweets about something thinking oh someone cannot see what I post, well, they can. Less is more. Always remember that. Never force people to engage into your social media sites. That there can lead to a red flag and people won’t want to come back and then those people will tell others not to come to your site, and then you will see your viewership decline. Let your viewership increase naturally. Don’t go overboard.

9. Never use people to share your content when you have never spoken to them or haven’t spoken to them in a while.

Oh there is a petition going around, there is a contest going around, there is an issue going around or simply just sharing what you have to contribute. Do not private message people you have not spoken with at all or for a while and ask them to sign a petition, or share a contest so that person can win or whatever and issues that need to be raised awareness of. It is using people and that is very wrong. don’t be direct by just sharing whatever you have with them. Do not talk to a person just for the sake of talking to them and then putting them on the spot to share something, to buy something or whatever it is. Not very polite and nice.

That is about it, All the best and make the wise decisions when it comes to social media. If you are unsure of posting something, then it probably should not be on the internet. If you have any other ideas and other mistakes of social media that you have seen in your social media journey, feel free to add it in the comments section.

Thank you. If you have any other questions, concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
