One of the most Ridiculous Traveller Complaints ever

I just heard one of the most bizarre yet really insanely ridiculous complaints I have heard from someone who went on a cruise ship vacation on the first embarkation day. I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing.. Such selfish and disgusting behavior. What makes her special more than anybody else? So, here is what took place.

So, this couple went crazy and started to complain about something that should not have been bickering about. Okay, so what happened was that this couple gets on the ship late on embarkation day around 4pm and the ship leaves at 5pm from Miami. 4pm is when the mustering drill was happening before sailing out on the itinerary. This couple missed the mustering drill which they must attend the next day..

. So, this couple complained that their baggage did not make it to their cabin until 7pm, and they were nagging and making a huge stink about it because she did not have an outfit to wear for their early dinner. She then said that I am going to cancel my trip and get off at the next port… Just for a mere 3-hour wait for baggage for A MASSIVE Cruise ship that has over 7800 guests and crew on board this ship.

Do the Math of how much baggage that is coming on board and they have to sort through, go to the right cabins, and have to be delivered through the service lifts with huge cart fulls of them. It takes time for them to be delivered. Plus every bag gets screened before getting on the ship. This couple thinks that miraculously the baggage will be there right then and there.

They are so selfish and do not even think of the workers on the ship. Mind you, there is a lot of heavy lifting involved. It’s absolutely mind-boggling of the stories you hear.
It is one thing to lose your baggage altogether and left behind, then its something to take up with the cruise line, but in a respectful manner though. Not being rude about it, but when you receive your baggage and STILL COMPLAIN then that is a Problem and its terrible.

Not a big deal so, if this couple is complaining of a lousy 3-hour wait for baggage on a massive cruise ship, you often wonder what kind of complaining they do on a daily basis for something that is irrelevant, small and really nothing to complain about. There will always be that crazy, selfish ridiculous bunch who will do nothing but cause trouble for no reason at all. It is insane on what I hear all the time from travelers.

Cruise & All-Inclusive Resort Vacation’s – Bad Behavior, Disgusting, Disrespect and Selfishness from people

In life we will encounter all kinds of people in this world, especially when we travel to different destinations, seeing people from all walks of life, witnessing how people behave and carry out themselves, especially on cruises and all-inclusive vacation’s. We will see people who lack manners, hygiene, bad behavior, disrespect, selfishness thinking they are the only ones who matter on vacations and they don’t care about others.

Manners, respect, dignity, courteousness cannot be bought. It does not matter if you paid $1000 or $10,000 or whatever amount for a vacation. It doesn’t make anybody entitled to treat resort and cruise staff with disrespect, and treating them like total garbage. It is absolutely uncalled for. Respecting, being kind and good to people matter and it can make a big difference in how people work, on how they get treated. I just cannot stand people who feel the need to be entitled.

The things I have seen in my travels are absolutely ridiculous where I can write so many stories about. People are absolutely selfish, disrespectful and disgusting around the buffet areas and they lack manners too.

I never blame resort chains and cruise lines when it comes to hygiene and all that. I blame passengers who come on the cruises and resort guests at all-inclusive resorts. I see people grabbing food with their hands, using washrooms without washing hands, people who use the utensils at the buffet and actually eat the food with it and put it back and each time they do, I always call people out and tell them what they did wrong and I tell the staff right away when I see things like that. When you travel with me, and if I see something or someone behaving badly, I will be calling them out and I will get involved. I will not let others get sick and myself included because of a disgusting behavior from another person. Not on my clock. that is for sure.

People then come back from their trip or during their trip and complain that they got sick because of the resort or cruise line giving them a bad name and making terrible reviews and going way over the top spreading false information, and some people may lie and send negative messages to people for them to avoid it, but I truly believe that hygiene, behavior and everything starts from guests and passengers. Cruise lines and resorts spend a lot of time cleaning and preventing germs and bacteria, whereas these people blame the workers that they got sick. I do no believe that even for a second. I am not naive and believe in every review I read online. I just simply don’t bother spending my time focused on negative reviews where more than half the time, they are exaggerated and falsely written.

Nobody can fool me. I’ve traveled way too much in my life to know and I have so much experience.

Some guests and passengers then play the innocent and think they are always right when they travel and they have the entitlement. Well, newsflash, you do not and you are not. I think tougher laws and more security needs to be hyped up to oversee what is happening, especially in places where people eat, and mandatory hand sanitizing and washing before entering buffet and restaurant areas on cruise ships, and all-inclusive resorts. I’ve been writing to cruise lines especially to do this and to make sure kids do the same.

People who bud in line in front of you to get the food they want is an absolute no-no for me. Wait like the rest of us in line. I will absolutely not allow that to happen when it comes to me. I will be having a good choice of words and I will politely ask to get behind the line and the second time, I won’t be so friendly and I will get staff involved. Budding in line because you are so “special” and more important than everyone else in line. I will not let that happen when I witness it. Some people’s eyes are so much bigger than their stomach and they just want to finish everything and not let others get those foods being selfish.

Another thing I don’t like is people filling their plate and getting another plate and filling it up like a mountain and then go to their table, eat and then leave more than half on their plate and wasting the food and seeing those plates being picked up by the staff. Such a shame. There are starving children in this world in poverty and these people who travel waste so much food. I think people should be charged for food waste like how All you can eat sushi restaurants charge. Such terrible behavior. That food could have been eaten by someone else. Some people have to be selfish and get everything.

Another thing I despise is when you are watching a show or in an entertainment establishment on the cruise ship or resort, band members playing, singing and everything when you are sitting down, relaxing and enjoying where people in front stand up and watch and blocking your whole view where you maybe want to video, take pictures and maybe not, just wanting to see. People act selfish and think they are the only ones in the room where you say excuse me, you are blocking my view and can you please move so I can enjoy too? and they don’t even budge to move and go somewhere else. It just makes my blood boil. Some people wear hats and who are so tall which is even worse.

Bottom line is, so many people these days are selfish, and only fend for themselves. some people do not think about the others. It is so terrible.

Treating cruise staff with disrespect and mouthing off at them. You do realize these people come from all over the world to serve you and they leave their family, friends, and homes for so many months at a time and they are probably homesick and are depressed not spending time with their loved ones so they can make a living for them and for themselves and treating them with disrespect and bad behavior makes it worse for them. Some have gone overboard. Bottom line is to respect people. You are not entitled. doesn’t matter who you are.

When it comes to etiquette, manners, respect, courtesy, and behavior, I take it very seriously. The way a person is brought up and raised has a lot to do with personality.

I truly believe things need to change in the travel industry and before people travel, I think they need to take a course on travel etiquette. This is serious. I know with millions of people traveling, it’s nearly impossible, but in a way it is possible because everyone needs to go through security screening at the airport and before going on cruises, the same thing should happen on taking a mandatory course before traveling, answering questions and reading on how to behave properly.

It is getting out of hand. What have you seen in your travels? I would love to hear stories. You can write in the comments below. Thank you

NoGarlicNoOnions – Introducing Anthony Rahayel – Food, Travel Blogger

A couple of months ago, as I was going through YouTube to find some literature and information on Lebanon and Lebanese foods, I came across a video NoGarlicNoOnions, so I was intrigued and decided to click on the video that was close to an hour long, so I decided to watch the whole video, and a couple of minutes in, I became hooked, and then I watched another few following. So, these videos have been around for a few years now, and I just suddenly found this now, which is better late than never.

NoGarlicNoOnions was founded by Anthony Rahayel back in 2012. Anthony and his film crew began introducing us to Lebanese culture, food, taking us to villages, cities, and towns of Lebanon and amongst him visiting Armenia and Italy tasting all kinds of foods amongst other places he has traveled. He also travels and explores at the same time when he is tasting delicious food, that you just want to eat your screen.

Anthony’s contagious and positive approach and the way he explains how the food is made, the texture, quality is out of this world and so much fun to watch. He speaks Lebanese and also he says a few words of English as well. Thank goodness my mother and my neighbors who are my family now, translate words, phrases and sentences to me, so that I can understand what Anthony is saying and its incredible how many words and sentences I know now of Lebanese by just watching Anthony, NoGarlicNoOnions. Thanks to them all, I am more aware of what is going on when I watch.

His passion and drive toward the culinary world is extremely visible. His expression and enjoyment can be felt. He has over 2500 reviews on various topics from air travel, restaurants, gadgets, food and more.

He also goes out to search for restaurants, and small family owned eateries for them to gain exposure, so that tourists, Lebanese people who live in Lebanon and others can go to those places and support these vendors. These hidden eateries are discovered and explained so well.

NoGarlicNoOnions goes above and beyond when explaining. Thorough, detailed and never boring. When he went to Armenia especially really excited me even more about him. I am Armenian and I truly appreciate him going to visit, spending time with Armenians, tasting our food, embracing our culture and having his viewers know about Armenia and Armenians and the food. I truly appreciate him for taking the time to go there and to enjoy our Motherland. It means a lot. NoGarlicNoOnions has a special place in my heart.

You can now say that I am obsessed with Lebanon further and I have the desire to visit hearing all the stories and my desire for tasting the delicious food, desserts, ice cream, drinks, and everything. I have a lot of Facebook friends and I also have family in Lebanon as well. Anthony gave me the idea, and understanding on how Lebanon is and now I have a better picture in my mind of how it is.

Lebanon is such a beautiful country that is on my bucket list to travel to. Hopefully, in the next couple of years, my dream will come true. I hope that Anthony Rahayel will be there to give me a guided and professional tour around the beautiful country and take me to great places to eat and enjoy the ambiance of it all, to enjoy the nightlife as well.

My family and I are hooked on his videos and I have subscribed and followed all of his social media accounts online. Recently, I contacted him expressing my admiration toward him. He can be found on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter and he has his own website called nogarlicnoonions.com – He also have photographs of his travel adventures, food, and so much more.

Anthony and his team have received travel, food, blogger, awards and more. Search for Anthony Rahayel and NoGarlicNoOnions and you will see what I am talking about. I am hoping that I will meet him in person. I am now a fan of him for life. Thank you, Anthony, for taking me up close and personal through videos. Cruise Vacations – Pier Runners & Late Passengers – Paying Fines

In the last few decades, cruise vacations have been a very popular and incredible way to see the world, to travel to so many destinations in one vacation, to experience, to enjoy and be amongst different walks of life.

However, there are those certain few who do not follow rules, guidelines and do not care about anybody else, but themselves and are so selfish and do not take extra measures to do research, look at the time, read newsletters and hear announcements onboard cruise ships like pier runners and late passengers to cruises where some people get lucky to get back to the cruise ship after visiting a port and some passengers that aren’t so lucky and the ship leaves them behind and have these left behind passengers figure out how to get to the ship in the next port of call.

Cruise lines have to pay the big bucks and hefty fines if they stay in the port of call for more than they are allowed to and depending on the cruise itinerary, and if they are late by half an hour to an hour because some passengers do not want to follow the rules and stay ashore, chances are that Gangway will be disconnected, the ropes will be untied and be reconnected to the ship, the horn will go off and thrusters and propellors will begin to work and off the ship goes.

Then you see stranded passengers on the pier trying to flag the ship’s captain and crew, but it is too late. It doesn’t matter what the port time is, Cruise ships operate on cruise ship time. you need to set your watch or your cell phones to the ship time, so you do not miss it. They always say to be back onboard half an hour to an hour before disembarkation from that port of call. Some people still do not follow it even when it is announced many times and even written in your daily cabin newsletter of what is going on throughout the day.

Some people still do not get it. It is absolutely ridiculous having grown up adults still not following rules and have trouble to understand that it can be a costly mistake if you are late and left behind. It will be your responsibility to get to the next port on your own expense which means transportation, food, going to the local embassy, talking to port officers, and a whole lot of trouble just because those passengers do not want to follow the rules and those who are constantly late for things in life. Lateness is no excuse.

Did you know that if cruise ships are late just by an hour or more the whole cruise itinerary may change because of those certain passengers, and sometimes the weather can play a part too, or local protests or something going on, but mostly its to do with late passengers? Did you know that if the cruise ship goes to next port of call, the time spent there will be less? sometimes it can totally be avoided. Time is very serious onboard a cruise ship.

Cruise lines should come up with changes that whoever is late arriving to their ship and whoever disobeys orders, should get a huge fine and must pay. Why should cruise lines pay late port penalties because of passengers who are late? It is not the cruise lines responsibility. It is yours. If you booked something on your own and go off on your own without a cruise shore excursion, it is all up to you on how you get back and to always look at the time.

I am currently writing to cruise lines to implement these changes to fine late passengers. I have no sympathy for people like that who miss their ship.

If a shore excursion is organized, approved by local authorities especially by the cruise line and if they are late, then the ship has to wait for them regardless and port authorities are contacted so the cruise line won’t pay for penalties.

Bottom line is that people need to learn not to be late for things. This is also a life lesson to learn. I am sure those stranded passengers on the pier now have maybe learned a lesson that lateness, selfishness, and disregard for rules and regulations is wrong.

Traveling gives you some sort of responsibility to take time seriously and to manage time well, and to do lots of research, calculations, and to always ask questions, read updates, and so much more.

So, if you are one of those types of people who are always late and don’t care about others and not respect time, then cruising is not for you.

Cruise ship vacations are awesome and fun. Do not allow others stupidity to ruin it for you. Do not blame cruise lines for error, blame those certain passengers that ruin things for everyone else. Your time is just as valuable as those who are waiting for you to board your ship. Don’t be selfish and enjoy your time.

next article, I will be talking about selfish passengers and bad behaviour
