How to Pack Your Checked Baggage For Air Travel

We all or some of us know that packing your baggage can be a strenuous task and can sometimes get frustrating on what to pack, how to pack and to make sure everything always stays in tact with smart ways of packing your belongings, especially the things that are fragile and breakable. You do not want to land and claim your checked baggage, to hear broken glass or something from inside your luggage or find a bad surprise when you open it. That is the last thing anybody wants. It all depends on the way you pack, sort and organize yourself. Here are some tips to a stress free packing, and having fun doing it.

Due to recent events with Air Canada’s Baggage Handlers who tossed peoples belongings 20 feet from the ground, having them slam into the bins, you will be thanking me, here is why you need to pack neatly and be organized doing so, so that your belongings get somewhere safely.

— Before packing, make a list of toiletries, articles of clothing, shoes and under garments.

— Because of the liquids ban on flights that exceed 100ml, Pack breakables like cologne, perfume or other shampoo bottles in snug cosmetic bags, plastic bags, and then pack them in between layers of clothing and in the middle section of your bag with clothes on the bottom and clothes on top…. Don’t ever pack breakables on top or the bottom of your baggage. Middle is always best.

— always make sure your bottle caps for shampoos and stuff are always snug and closed properly and packed firmly.

— Never buy solid hard top Baggage as that can be annoying to pack…. Always use the fabric kind. I am not a huge fan of those solid hard top ones. Never buy expensive baggage either that will cost Arm and a leg. buy inexpensive, but not such poor quality. Something in the middle.

— Never pack medication, camera’s, in your checked baggage…

— Only pack the necessities that you need.

— make sure weight limits, requirements are researched, and checked out of your Airline Carrier. Also how many bags you are allowed to carry.

— check your destination for baggage fees. This applies to US Flights in and out of US or going to the US…

— Make sure the dimensions of your checked baggage also meet requirements of your Air Carrier. Some huge, over sized baggage can be charged a fee, and sometimes will not be permitted on certain flights. Do your research.

— Do not ever let anybody else pack your bags. Do it yourself, so that you know what you pack and never leave it unattended, lock your checked baggage before leaving home to the Airport. Keep your eyes on it at all times until it goes to the conveyor belt to the Aircraft.

— You are responsible for what you pack. make sure that it meets the rules and regulations, and laws.

— Be smart of the contents you pack, and if you pack food, you must declare it and tell them. Even if they are snacks. if you Lie and they find out, you can be further questioned and not even be permitted to board your flight. Depending on the situation.

— Fly smart, pack smart, and be aware/alert of your belongings

Introducing You the Talented SuperStar Robert Chilingirian

In the past 20 plus years, I have been listening to music from my Armenian culture and background, and I got introduced to many performers and artists, but some have been captivating, capturing my heart, mind and soul, and one of them is the Talented Superstar Robert Chilingirian. After many years of listening to his music, I began to search for him on the Internet, and when I was on the MySpace website back in 2006, 2007 is where I found Robert, and I began to communicate with him One on One for many years. Since then we have become great friends. Social media has become a great tool to communicate and its been great.

Throughout the years, Robert has completed over 21 albums, written, composed many songs, created music videos, some are especially dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, our late and beloved Artist who passed away almost 3 years ago named Paul Baghdadlian, and so many other songs that are so meaningful to Robert and his journey through his musical career. Robert has traveled the world, and he says that Traveling, and seeing the world is great, but getting to know many and different people around the world is what it is all about. Robert is a well-rounded, down to earth, humble person whom I have had the pleasure of meeting twice now. Just recently when he came to Canada, to my town of Toronto, I had the pleasure of seeing him, and talking with him. He is such a kind-hearted man. I am ever so glad to have met him. I had the pleasure of meeting one of Robert’s Dancers in his videos Teria Morada a few years ago and that also was a great moment. I had met Robert in 2010 and now 2014. Best moments.

Robert also plays the bouzouki, guitar, and his energy is automatically felt throughout the crowds he entertains. He entertains in private functions, weddings, different parties and so much more.

In Robert’s Albums, he writes, create your own, be a leader, never a follower which is so true. If we all create the same things or close to them, things would be boring and not interesting, so be your own leader, and never follow others. Just be yourself, and go with the flow of what life has to offer. In the near future, I hope to see him again soon and reconnect. I wish Robert continued success, I wish him safe travels around the world, and God give him strength to do what he loves. God Bless you Robert and wishing you the very best my Brother.

Travel Reviews – Be your Own Judge

When we are planning or have planned a trip whether its an airline, resort, hotel, city, and the whole travel experience, were all intrigued, interested and wonder what the experience will be like, so if not most of us or all of us tend to venture out to the internet to find information on star ratings, hotel ratings, it amenities and more, however as much as we read people’s reviews, the ratings and all that, it is important to be your own judge to rate your travel experience yourself. You cannot go with what everybody else says. you need to form your own opinion.

As I have stated before, that yes doing research is a must to further prepare yourself for your trips, however do not go to review sites to research as it can be misleading. Go to real travel websites to find out information, Go to airline websites, and Federal Governmental Travel websites to find the correct information on Visa’s, Travel Documents, Travel Advisories, what countries to avoid, what the country laws are. So important to always go right to the source for information, not by what others share, then you will be problem free. People go above and beyond sometimes of what they write online on these travel advisor sites.

Enjoy your travel, be safe and have fun. 🙂 Bon Voyage!

Travel Gives Meaning to My Life – Exploring The World

for 21 and half years now, traveling has been a big part of my life with having the opportunity to visit many places around the world from most of the Caribbean, To few countries in Europe to visiting my homeland Armenia, visiting many US Destinations, Across Canada and more. I have had the opportunity to fly on many different types of Airlines, Going to different types of airports, traveled on cruise ships, went on road trips and just basically to live life to the fullest extent, to enjoy life and to make most of it exploring and being in the action. I love keeping travel brochures, aviation brochures, and collecting plane models.

That is why I have so much travel knowledge, efficient ways to travel, giving people advice, hassle free tips, and so much more. My friends and family always ask me for travel advice no matter where the destination and form of travel it is. You can as well. I am just an e-mail message and comment away. Traveling is a big passion of mine as you are observing now. It has been for 2 decades and counting. I love going to the airport and getting on a plane. I love experiencing the take off of the plane and the landing. I love the acceleration of the plane so much, and I always get window seat, so I can look outside, even if I am flying over clouds. Its beautiful. Whenever I am at Pearson Airport in Toronto YYZ, It always gives me energy, even if its just being around there, dropping people off, picking people up and of course going into the airport and taking a flight out. It excites me all the time. I love terminal 3.

If you can travel, do it. It changes your life, your perspective and outlook on things. Traveling makes you more independent, aware, explorative, gives you knowledge, and so much more. When you are a well-traveled person, there will always be something to talk about, talking about the world, being more familiar with geography, learning new cities and towns, whether its a moment you experienced, the type of people you met, the part of the world that is different from home, the way people live life and much more.

I cannot wait to travel more in the future. It is one of the best things to do in life. Never be scared of traveling. I never am. No matter what I hear on the news. What do you enjoy about travel? What is traveling to you? Would love to hear from you. Safe and Happy travels!
