In this day in age, social media has been a huge part of today’s society where almost everyone in the world is engaged into it in some way, shape or form which is one of the reasons why Searching movie was created to cater to the reality of today.

The whole film is based on laptop and phone screens.

The Searching movie opens with a video/photo montage showing the life of a Korean-American family also known as the Kim’s, David Kim (John Cho), his wife Pam (Sara Sohn), and their young daughter Margot. Margot was excited and took up an interest in taking piano lessons from a young age. Pam was later unfortunately diagnosed with lymphoma. Pam went into remission, but then she unfortunately had a relapse which devastated the Kim family. David and Margot stood by her side and bedside until she passed away.

This movie is an eye-opener of what can happen if we are not careful with whom we associate with on social media. A father David Kim (John Cho) is worried sick about his 16 year old daughter Margot (Michelle La) who goes missing after telling her dad she is going to a study group, so he takes matters into his own hands to search for her and he will not stop. Her father knows she is always on her laptop to communicate, then he doesn’t hear from her and frantically searches her accounts and the plot thickens as he keeps digging.

In case you have not seen this film yet, I do not want to give away a lot about the plot and definitely do not want to spoil the ending. It is a must see film which will definitely be something to really think about. So to summarize my point, I spoke just a little bit about it, but you are in for a great film. It is 102 minutes long and each minute of it is incredibly awesome.

Social Media is such a powerful tool in our society. Searching movie is something that really is the definition of that and how careful we should be. This is a perfect film to see with family and especially young teenagers to 20’s also for everyone and those who are so engaged into technology, phones, apps and everything today. This film is a true definition of perfection and I enjoyed it thoroughly that I went to go see it a second time.

We need film like this to spread awareness on serious issues we face today, the pros and cons of interaction in the online world. It is one of the main ways now to communicate, transmit information instantly without waiting days and months like writing traditional hand-written letters to people where now with social media and the internet, we just send it out and in seconds it gets sent to other people and it can be seen right away. There are always pros and cons to everything and social media and technology consists of both.

It is important to recognize great film and content. This is the type of film we need to see and keep making.

I am a social media marketing specialist and this film is something so relative to me. Searching movie is something truly out of this world and I give it a two-thumbs up. Thank you to the great minds and talents of the creators of this film and to those who worked so hard day in and day out compiling everything.

It really isn’t easy writing, creating and directing. So much thought process, brain-storming, ideas and ways to give out a message is absolutely difficult. Wishing the directors, writers, film creators all the best in their future.

Social Media Spam & Fake Accounts Beware

In the last few years, as technology of communication across the world has become a lot easier with transmitting information instantly across the world with just a single submit, post, or publish button. The world has come a long way with all that and it is incredibly amazing where technology has taken us. Some for the good, and some for the bad. The bad part about social media, e-mails and accounts are spam and fake ones.

I am sure some of us or if not all of us have encountered people saying “If you follow me, you can get instant thousands of followers back”, and then you see these accounts with fake usernames with so many numbers and a name with it like “Joy34342432456” or profile’s with suspicious fake photos, and then they try to add you as a friend, but you don’t even know them. After they send you e-mails saying “Hey, I saw your profile, you look great, and I want to get to know you and some sort of stuff” I am just getting so tired of all these bot’s and fake accounts that are circulating the internet.

I think the most important priority for these social media website creators, and those who work for these social media companies especially the IT, Security and safety teams, should really begin to clean out fake profiles. I know it is easier said than done and sometimes these fake profiles, hackers and everything made it so complicated to tell, but I can tell right away if it is a fake account.

So many things to look at when dealing with a spammer and fake account holder. here is my list:

– They only have 1 photo of themselves or they don’t have a profile photo and they put a picture of a unicorn or something. That becomes suspicious

– When they do not post anything on their profile pages.

– When you hashtag *#* or write about a certain thing on Twitter, an automatic bot will detect people’s status messages and retweet, like and follow you.

– They spam people to look at adult content videos

– They tag you in potential virus content that will mess up the security of your computer that will steal your passwords, and personal information.

– When they say, follow me and you get thousands of followers

– when there are e-mails that are like this “3535serger345gvdrgererwaefqw@swewed34325435fsfsada.com”

and so much more.

You must be so careful on what you add, who you add on your social media accounts.

I am going to begin to set up a petition online for these social media, and e-mail companies to really start cracking down on fake accounts, bots, and spammers to delete, remove and clean up the internet. Instead of focusing on new layouts, exciting new features and updates on these social media outlets, They should really be focusing on and managing security and safety of all the other users, by making it a little harder in the beginning when signing up for an account to ask several questions, to “I’m Not a Robot” or some sort of captcha, number to type down before creating a site, and go through extra steps to ensure safety and security of us all.

We should also be helping out these social media outlets. If you do see something that is not right or if you feel that you are being followed by robots or whatever, tell your social media outlet, report it, send an e-mail or whatever the case maybe, and they will investigate it and deal with it. There are millions and millions of accounts on these social media outlets and Facebook has over 1 billion people worldwide using it, so it can be quite difficult to combat all these accounts, so we as account holders should help them out and report these fake people or IF we can even call them that to them. It is so important.

Do not be discouraged of joining the social media world, just because of these things that are happening. Social Media outlets are awesome and it can be a fun, enjoyable and great place to keep in touch with loved ones, share photos, status messages and everything. I am not deterring anybody from this age in technology, I am just merely suggesting and advising people to really be so careful on who you add, and everything. If you do feel that it is suspicious, please report the account and delete and block it.

Have you been a victim of social media spam? What have you encountered?

Best wishes always, and remember to make wise decisions when Spammers and Bots come to you. best thing to do is to ignore, delete, report and then block. The social media outlet will see that it happened, as everything is on file at their end. Just be safe and enjoy social media.

The Key Component to Genocide Prevention

The Armenian Genocide

101 Years
1915-2016

On April 24, 1915 the Turkish Government and the Ottoman empire committed a terrible criminal act against humanity, tried to wipe out a whole race and culture. They killed 1.5 Million Armenians, stole our precious landmarks, churches, lands, Mount Ararat, pulled the rug right under us. The blood, flesh, bones, decapitation, tears, fears, displacing people from their homes, families, with Armenians changing their Armenian names to something Turkish so that they will not be targeted and where they will feel protected from harms way. The Turkish Government still denies and lies about ever committing Genocide against the Armenians and also still fails to recognize.

We will prevail, Justice is timeless.

This is why it is imperative to spread Genocide awareness as much as we can so that history will never repeat itself again.

In 2015, we commemorated the centennial. 100 years have gone by and this year in 2016 is the 101st. After 100 years, we will still continue to spread Genocide prevention.

Recognize, Acknowledge, Awareness, Educate, Prevent.

Those are the key components to Genocide prevention.

Not just for the Armenians, but all those in the world who have had to unfortunately, deal with Genocide in other cultures, races.

We received a lot of Global recognition last year which was incredible with all the coverage, letting people know about us, being put on the map, and addressing this very important subject.

Let us utilize the same energy we had during the Armenian Genocide 100th Centennial in 2015 and bring that same drive into 2016, to be big in numbers once again during peace demonstrations, marches, vigils, and so much more.

The Armenian Genocide – 101st Commemoration in 2016

To The Armenian Community of the World and as well as everyone,

2016 has officially arrived. It is never too early to remind and educate ourselves as well as others that this year in April on the day of the 24th, we must continue to strive to spread and raise awareness of The Armenian Genocide as it marks the 101st commemoration. Let us all continue that same energy we had for the 100th commemoration. We must not stop at 100. Recognition is the key component to prevention. No matter how many years have gone by. Never stop the peaceful demonstrations, the many events and the marching.

We must be big in numbers again all across the world to come together like how we did in 2015.  However even bigger. It speaks in volumes. We should always remember. We are still here on this earth, we have a purpose, we have a mission. It all begins with how we instill that to everyone and the importance of how crucial it is to spread Genocide prevention. Not only in Armenians, but everyone in the world who have been victims of genocide and to kill, torture and so many unspeakable, unimaginable criminal acts that we need to address.

Now, I know some people’s mentality that okay,  the 100th commemoration year of 2015 is now come and gone, next year is the 101st, it won’t matter anymore, and some people will not end up participating in Genocide peaceful demonstrations, and other events. That is what some people have told me and I was absolutely baffled and was in disbelief that some people actually said that. So, I guess the bloodshed of our ancestors and the horrific, and terrible days and years our people went through with all the suffering doesn’t matter anymore. Well, it does matter. These people’s lives were torn upside down, these children did not see life growing up because they were killed, women, men, babies all taken away, displaced, and massacred. They were also left to walk in the desert, and when they were tired and could not walk anymore, The Turks, punched, kicked, slapped and put them down to the ground and demanded them to get going and keep walking. Women were raped from Turkish soldiers too, while their children and spouses watched. We owe it to these victims, our ancestors and be there for them. Not only by just saying prayers and remembering, we must do more by going out and putting our time and effort to raise awareness. It is crucial.

We owe it to these victims, our ancestors and be there for them. Not only by just saying prayers and remembering, we must do more by going out and putting our time and effort to raise awareness. It is crucial. It is a way to pay respect and to take extra measures. I am not just talking about the Armenians, but the whole human race of the world.

The Turkish Ottoman Empire tried to destroy the whole Armenian race and wipe us all off the face of this earth, and they killed 1.5 Million Armenians and they also stole our precious land and our Mount Ararat in 1915. The Turkish Government still denies, lies, as well as make up stories that they never committed such terrible criminal acts to humanity of Armenians, and many other people in Greece as well as other places. They must admit their guilt. Justice and Recognition must be enforced.

Everything starts with how much of an impact we have and can spread around so that history never repeats itself. Where there is a will there is a way.

Interviewing Myself About My Social Media Journey

A few people have been asking me questions lately about my Social Media journey, and what empowered me to start being active in this whole new way of communicating to the world instantly. Well, here are questions that I am going to be interviewing myself with:

1. How many years have you been active in Social Media?

In May of 2000, I joined AsianAvenue.com, Black Planet, Migente all around that time. Which is about 15 years and almost 2 months, that I have been active, then couple of years later, I joined Myspace.

2. How did you educate yourself in Social Media?

When I began to be educated on what Social Media really is. I began writing, changing my layout of my pages in Asian Avenue, Migente, Black Planet and Myspace. I had hours of fun changing pictures, writing short stories, shout-outs to people, putting avatars, symbols HTML, Style CSS codes. That is when I began to really enjoy myself, and then that is where I launched myself into the Internet world.

3. What was your very first Blog Site to write in? (+ Other sites)

LiveJournal was my first website that I started to write in, then I went to Blogger from Google. Now in present day, I have been on WordPress the longest.

4. What have you been through to get this far to Social Media today?

Well, as a lot of people in Social Media and blogging begin to think in the beginning, ask a lot of questions and inquire on How are people going to engage into my postings? How Can I get out there to be noticed? What do I need to do to be successful? Well, I went through so much to get to where I am today. I began to do extensive research online about how to attract readers, and amongst how to get through the challenging aspects of it all. I then began to learn to tag my posts, so it can be seen by so many people, then I began asking questions and getting feedback from others who are in the same boat as me and who have gone through it all. Soon after I began to get comfortable with it all, I was in a whole new world of communication. It was not easy. For months I did not receive any comments, readers, and those who were engaging into my site. So I put it into action and began to make friends all over the internet, and then my journey officially began.

5. What would you say was the most struggling aspect of your Social Media Journey. Does it still apply to you in present day?

Well, the most struggling aspect of social media, is that right now there is just so many bloggers, so many people in social media and they all want practically the same thing. To be noticed, for people to engage, share, like, and comment on posts. I must say the getting noticed part is the most difficult aspect of it all and which audience you want your content to be available to.

6. Does your family and friends support you in your journey through Social Media?

Yes, definitely. Without the support, foundation from my family and friends, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I wouldn’t be here conducting this interview for myself. I thank them very much for standing behind in what I love to do, what I am pursuing in all of this, and as well as inspiring the world with my writings, talents and so much more.

7. What do you like to write about?

I like to write about various things such as travel, tips, advice, inspiring stories, stories that have happened to me, promoting others, recipes, causes, and much more.

8. Did you ever have writers block?

Yes, several times. Sometimes as a writer, My mind freezes up and do not have anymore capacity in my brain to come up with new topics, and what to do next. Then after a few days go by, things start coming back to me, and begin to write again.

9. What advice do you have for aspiring and up and coming social media activists?

Just to take your time with social media. Do not rush into getting so much viewership, and engaged readers. It takes time to establish yourself. Well, not all the time. Also to always make sure your site is searchable, to add keywords, tag posts and engage in other peoples social media journey as well.

Why Deny Genocide?

As we are born into this world, we all come from different backgrounds, cultures, heritage, and religions. A lot of people in this world have been affected/effected by some sort of Genocide, War, and have lost our ancestors, loved ones, prominent important figures, have lost homes, villages, towns, and lands due to violent hate crimes which revolve around the jealousy of ones religion. With that being said, I always ask this question? Why deny Genocide? why hide the truth from the world and not recognize and admit wrong-doing? Race and culture discrimination should never be an issue and we should all respect each other. I do not see anything wrong with that.

As an Armenian myself, we have suffered 100 years of denial from the Turkish Ottoman Empire who tried to wipe out our Armenian’s and Armenia with 1.5 Million murdered in the hands of the Turks, but never succeed from April 24, 1915 until 1923. We just recently commemorated the centennial and it still hurts us in many ways that we cannot describe. What hurts the most is that we are being lied to day in and day out by the Turkish groups and the government. So, why deny? I think these nations who have not yet recognized the Armenian Genocide and other Genocides that have happened and are still happening now should be the bigger person’s and to make this world a better place, to make peace in the world and move forward.

I thank the countries and states of USA who have acknowledged and recognized the Armenian Genocide. I really appreciate that so much. To some better late then never. Prevention is always key and that is a huge step forward to a better tomorrow.

The further nations that have not recognized Genocide, the further problems arise and to prevent from such terrible criminal acts to humanity to happen again. Why not take the extra measures and actually make this world a better place for us all, to love each other, to live and let others live their lives happily, healthy and create memories with their loved ones. It is not fair for people to lose loved ones to crime and hate with senseless deaths that could be prevented. These leaders of the world should just recognize especially President Obama of United States as he promised us. He should not have said anything to us Armenians that he will be recognizing the Armenian genocide or else we would not have been so hurt and betrayed, but he did and that is just something that we cannot bare. He has been president for almost the whole 2 terms, and we really thought he would change his ways on the 100th commemoration, but he failed to do so. Why doesn’t he live up to his promise? I think he should be the bigger person and do it for the sake of humanity and for the sake of prevention of future genocides to occur. He would have left the end of his presidency on good terms, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Peoples lives have been cut short due to crimes and violent behavior. Those women, men, children, their families ripped apart, promising futures that were ahead of those came to an unfortunate halt. It is not only disgusting, but horrible as well. It is something so unimaginable. The blood, tears, starvation, violence, stabbing, shooting, severing heads, dismembering bodies, skeletons that flooded our soil, the human remains in our streets of our villages, the smell of death, and decomposing bodies, malnutrition, being left homeless, the cries of the innocent. Why? It does not make sense to me to this day why these things have to happen?

There is always a choice and unfortunately some people and leaders make the wrong choices that impact the rest of us. Stop the killing, stop genocides and make the future brighter and better for us all. Violence, Genocide and wars are definitely not the answer. Lets all stand against these terrible atrocities, to spread love, cheer, positivity around the world and to stop denying the Armenian and other Genocides. Lets all hold each others hands and stand together and create a new humanity of happiness, good health and prosperity.

Our Responsibility of Genocide Recognition Across the World

In the past couple of months I have been asking certain individuals if they are going to be attending the Ottawa, Canada Armenian Genocide Centennial Commemoration on April 24, 2015 from everywhere? As well as people across the world to participate in their local Genocide Centennial Events.

The response was, I went many times, some said I am not going to go, because nothing is changing and what is the point?

My response to them was, 1.5 Million Armenians were massacred, displaced from their homes, families destroyed, valuables and memories all gone, our lands were stolen, our landmarks and Mount Ararat was taken from us from Turks, and they are saying what is the point? Some are saying they are not going to go? You are not willing to sacrifice some of your time in memory of your ancestors?

Well, this is the kind of attitude and negativity that is not welcome. I get very angry when some people say those things. This is especially for those who cannot just sit and do nothing about it. Be true to your heritage, be Proud of who you are, We need to be about it, This is our Armenia, This is our Armenians, This is our Heritage, Culture and our being and existence in the world. We need to stand up against Genocide denial, we need to form unity and we have that important responsibility to prioritize, take a stand and join together to combat denial, to raise awareness. We need to take care of each other, and help each other out. This is including all races, cultures..

In the past month or so, we have gotten so much media coverage, the world knows about us now, and non-Armenians are always discussing us now. It does not matter if you are Armenian or not. This issue of Genocide is universal. All that matters is that all genocides combined that have happened needs awareness, needs recognition and we need to work hard and make sure that Genocide is never repeated. We are responsible for taking care of our Human Identity, Existence and everything else. There is no excuse and no reason in the world, that we cannot take time out of our lives and protect our every being. This is not just us, but everyone.

We have advanced so much in the world right now and this is such an awesome thing to see Armenia, Armenians and the Genocide getting so much media attention. Millions and Millions of people know about us now and that is something so incredible. Thank you to Mrs. Amal and MR. George Clooney, the Kardashians, Kanye West, Pope Francis, Countries that have recognized the Armenian Genocide, those who are on the verge of doing so, and US States that have also. Thank you to everyone who supports us and who took a stand against Genocide. That is what its all about. Love and take care of each other. Nothing is more beautiful than love, support, friendships, and unity. God bless us all and prevent from genocides from ever happening again.

Thank you Kardashian West Family and Pope Francis

What an incredible week it has been for us Armenians around the world. The Kardashian/West family made a memorable trip to Armenia which we will never forget, They also visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial to lay flowers and pay their respects to the 1.5 Million Armenians that were killed by the Turkish Ottoman Empire and our lands stolen from us, Kim then found out an elderly woman wanted to meet her, so she went and met up with her and gave her a hug. That was very nice of you Kim, Then we see that Kanye West performed in a concert for free, and then jumps into Swan Lake in Yerevan, then Pope Francis Recognizes and uses the word and term “Genocide” in his mass, then followed by Armenian Church songs and prayers.

This is huge recognition that we all needed and it was a long time coming, but we got it. With Millions and Millions of people around the world know our country of Armenia now, know who we are, know about The Armenian Genocide which occurred on April 24, 1915 and with almost 10 days to go until the Genocide’s 100th Centennial, this really made a big difference.

Thank you to Pope Francis, The Kardashians/West families, and all those across the world that helped us raise awareness and also acknowledging us and our beautiful Country of Armenia which made Kanye West smile and made him feel like home. That is something that is so incredible. What a great feeling. I am blown away by it all and how we were trending on Social Media and so many NON-ARMENIANS which have been tweeting, hashtagging, instagraming, and more. That is whats important for people to know about us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Over Sharing on Social Media Really Needs to Stop – Furious 7 Movie

2 days ago when I was observing my News feeds and amongst other social media websites, something really began to bother me in so many ways. One that hit close to home and one that I just cannot believe. I know that the social media has boomed and has become one of the most biggest information hubs of the world, and I never knew how some people can just post anything without thinking until a couple of days ago. I just cannot believe it. It is too much. I mean enough is enough. This really pushed my buttons this time. I cannot endure that disrespectful acts from people. Just because a film just came into theaters it does not mean that you have to right away ruin it for people, and post every single darn thing. It is not cool at all.

With all due respect of the Late Paul Walker and his memory who died in 2013, November..  To all those who were close to him, his loved ones, his Fast family, the fans, I find it very disrespectful and wrong of people who are spoiling, over sharing the movie and taking parts of the movie and putting it out there, spending all that time with creating gif’s, memes, and video posts already on social media sites. This is not good to do, especially when there are such highly devoted Fans of the Furious 7 family and dishonoring Paul’s memory that way. I see people already spoiling the ending and everything and showcasing it to the world to see. It is not fair. People really need to stop that. I do not find it to be amusing at all.

Film Makers, Actors, Actresses, and everyone involved in movies work so hard, the production is hard work, very hard. Some people do not realize how much work, time, tons of money and effort is involved in making these films shine, and for them to make to our local movie theaters, then we have people who copy and use their smart phones or whatever device, to record the movie, to blab it out for everybody else is just so insensitive and down right disgraceful to those people involved in that production and directing.

There is no excuse in the book. It is never right to copy, re-produce something without written consent and permission from the intellectual owner/s of that production or whatever the case maybe. Not just in movies, but in our general life. If something is not yours and if you want it, ask for it, get written permission, do whatever you can to get things in writing before sharing somebody elses work. It is the right thing to do.

Just because it is social media, it does not mean that we have to post everything and anything we hear about, see, and do. Some things are meant to be private.

Furious 7 has not even been a week yet since the April 3rd, 2015 release and I keep seeing all these videos of the movie, and most importantly the best highlights, especially the ending part. I mean seriously? Is this a way some people want to honor and Respect Paul Walker and his cast-mates and film makers?

I saw it on Sunday April 5th, 2015 and I have not given anything away, as should be, but people do not think, people blab everything and it is not very good. Go see it in the theaters or wait to buy the movie, but don’t spoil and ruin it for everyone else who has not seen it yet. I just find that to be really terrible and thoughtless.

So enough is enough… Over Sharing needs to stop. It is really ridiculous having to spoil something for people whom have been looking forward to seeing the movie Furious 7. Instead of keeping people in suspense, and their eagerness to go to the movie theaters or the anticipation of seeing it on DVD in your own homes when the movie comes out. It ruins the fun, it ruins the curiosity. Thanks for understanding my view-point, because it is just craziness.

RIP Paul Walker — I Love you so much.

Forget Me Not Flower – In Memory of The Centennial Armenian Genocide

This month of April 24, 2015 will mark the Centennial of The Armenian Genocide of which occurred 100 years ago in the year 1915. The Republic of Armenia has issued a symbol and emblem presenting the memory of 1.5 Million Armenians who were massacred and killed by Ottoman empire of Turkey. This forget-me-not-flower expresses eternal remembrance, also that evokes the past, the present and the future experiences of our Armenian people. This year the theme is forget-me-not, and this flower is the official emblem worldwide to observe this as the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. The following describes the meaning behind the flower and what it symbolizes:
THE FUTURE:
The five petals represent the five continents
where survivors of the Armenian Genocide found a new home.
The dark purple color is meant to recall the priestly vestments of
the Armenian Church—which has been, is, and will remain at the
heart of the Armenian Christian identity.

THE PRESENT:
The light purple petals represents the unity
of Armenian communities across the world—all of whom stand
together in this 100th year of remembrance.

ETERNITY:
The twelve trapezoids represent the twelve pillars
of the Dzidzernagapert Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan,
Armenia. The yellow color represents light, creativity, and hope.

THE PAST:
The black center represents the sufferings of 1915,
and the dark aftermath of the Armenian Genocide.

***for the Month of April, I will be putting Armenian Genocide banners on my Facebook and will be explaining more about the Armenian Genocide, how Turkish Ottoman Empire Failed to wipe us all out from the earth, as well as introducing to you talented and incredible artists, and more in our Armenian Community which have inspired us and lifted us all up.***

Social Media Mistakes We Should Not Make

In the last few years, communication, transmitting information instantly has become a whole lot easier with social media on the rise, and the way some people use social media is great, positive, empowering ways to help others, to inspire and use it wisely, however today I am here to talk to you about the social media mistakes that some people are making, and have made. Some do not even realize the mistakes they make because they think it is socially acceptable in society today, but I am going to decipher them to assist people on making the right choices in social media.

Here are the mistakes of Social Media:

1. Do not get so personal

Do not overshare your personal life with everybody. Nobody needs to know what you are doing constantly, where you are going 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Some things are meant to be kept private. Do not share passwords, credit card information, address, your financial history, amongst what happens in your family, you do not need to share that you are doing laundry, cleaning, eating, having a beverage, when you go to bed, when you shower, and those common things. That is an open invitation to the world to your home and your life. Keep that off the internet.

2. Ridiculously time-wasting trends online.

Just because so many people are trending a ridiculous and derogatory trend, does not mean you have to join in on it. It is like if someone jumps off a cliff, don’t go and do the same thing for the sake of doing it to get out there to get your name noticed. Just don’t fall into that trap. It is a waste of time. Focus on more important trends that actually does make sense in the world.

3. Bringing personal issues that arise amongst friends

Never bring your personal issues with your friends onto social media. Whatever problems and concerns you have with your friend or friends, it is a good idea to take it up with them and not post it on social media and send out negative waves to everyone else. Some may not put peoples name onto it, but people will always put two and two together and decipher who it is, so do not bring personal matters on the internet. Solve problems face to face, be honest and tell each other the truth. Friends will appreciate that. You can lose friends and bonds with people and you do not want that. Do not be an open book and post everything. Things are always meant to be private.

4. Not delivering what you promise your readers

When you say you will be writing an article, or bringing up a particular issue about a certain subject and don’t write about it and do not post it, people will anticipate that article or story and then give up and won’t come back to your site because you are not delivering what you say you will write about. You lose your viewership and followers that way.

5. Not being original and not being yourself.

Do not go with the norm of the internet and make yourself into the common category. There is so much each of us can contribute to social media and the internet in different ways. Be yourself and do not copy everybody else. People can detect a phony and you do not want that type of reputation made against you. Come up with your own content, your style and how you want to portray yourself. If you are going to copy someone, give them full credit, the sources the information came from, who it is from, and try to contact them if you are able to that you are using their content on your website. Not crediting can get you into trouble.

6. Not Optimizing your social media efforts fully.

We all want to succeed and make a name of ourselves in social media, however with each social media site comes settings, layouts and how to keep your social media sites up to date. Look at your stats, followers, engagement to your site, look at different templates, make your social media site eye-catchy, use captions and headlines that grab people’s attention. Go behind the scenes and discover what you can do with social media outlets.

I keep hearing people say, “I do not know how to use certain features, how to get there“, so on and so forth. Well, of course, if you do not do the proper research and play and tweak with all the settings, you won’t know. Give them a try, if you need help, do not hesitate to ask, also each social media site has tutorials, help guides and directions on how to get to certain settings that you want. Don’t be afraid to try new things.

7. Not make yourself searchable on Search engines and social media sites.

When people say that, how come people are not coming to my site? How come people are not liking my posts and commenting? Well, it is because you do not have your site searchable, and because you have to add as much content as possible about a certain issue or whatever you want to address. When you are in social media, it means that you are not private anymore, it means that whatever you post can be searched, and you signed up to be on a social media site, so making stuff private is not so private. If you want a successful engagement to your site, then lift the restrictions in your settings.

8. Never spam and force people.

One mistake made by some people is that, they spam the internet everywhere, every group page, every website imagined, people post their websites, social media articles and content and force people to come by a website, and especially spam every persons news feed and repeat tweets about something thinking oh someone cannot see what I post, well, they can. Less is more. Always remember that. Never force people to engage into your social media sites. That there can lead to a red flag and people won’t want to come back and then those people will tell others not to come to your site, and then you will see your viewership decline. Let your viewership increase naturally. Don’t go overboard.

9. Never use people to share your content when you have never spoken to them or haven’t spoken to them in a while.

Oh there is a petition going around, there is a contest going around, there is an issue going around or simply just sharing what you have to contribute. Do not private message people you have not spoken with at all or for a while and ask them to sign a petition, or share a contest so that person can win or whatever and issues that need to be raised awareness of. It is using people and that is very wrong. don’t be direct by just sharing whatever you have with them. Do not talk to a person just for the sake of talking to them and then putting them on the spot to share something, to buy something or whatever it is. Not very polite and nice.

Setting A Good Example In Social Media Outlets

In recent years, technologists, entrepreneurs, creators of social media outlets have made it very easy to communicate with friends, family, co-workers, keeping in touch and as well as making new friends. When we are on the internet, we are automatically in a social media world. No matter how and why we use it for. We are all in this now.

Unfortunately we share social media with people who hide behind their computer screens that cause trouble and use social media to slander, to use social media in negative ways, calling people names, insulting and creating negative and offending memes that attack, bully and hurt somebody is something that is and should be uncalled for as well as unacceptable. A lot of these individuals/groups think that they cannot be caught, but they can be. Whatever is posted on social media is there forever and can never be deleted even if you press on the delete and remove buttons. People who hide behind the computer screen think they are superior and better then everybody else and think that Oh I can swear and, insult and hurt people and it is okay, but really it isn’t. You make a fool out of yourself.

People can get into serious trouble with posts if taken to authorities and have things investigated. It is so very easy to detect where and who these posts came from.

There are some website articles and photos I have seen and I have read some really nasty posts, rude, offensive, distasteful, cursing, snide remarks and comments and I wonder to myself how these people have been raised, why they have to do this, why they need to resort to this type of attitude where and how they can be so thoughtless and write things without thinking about it before clicking on that post, submit buttons. It is beyond me on how some people are allowed and be tolerated to demonstrate that kind of behavior online. No matter what it is, people do have a choice on what to post. If you really have nothing nice to say to somebody, please do not say it at all and do not post it on social media where everybody else can see. People of all ages are on the internet. The bottom line always comes down to choice.

I sometimes ponder to myself on what is coming to this world? Why does negativity, useless, pointless and utter stupidity of some people get so much attention, whereas great, positivity and good things people do go unnoticed on the internet and in our day to day lives? I mean yes they get so many viewers and become famous, however there are people who do something so terrible to get attention and when it gets posted, it becomes a trend within the hour or 2. Instantly the world knows about it and then it becomes a sensation. It is beyond me on why people spend so much time making memes, jokes on things that are so ridiculous.

Instead of spending time with uselessness, take a few moments to think about what to do before posting it. It saves a lot of hassle and ridicule. Also utilize your time better with positive, happy, inspiring and beautiful things that can change our world for the better instead of downgrading and pulling society down lower.

Some people have forgotten and do not know the purpose of social media. It means to keep in touch and communicate, as well as inspiring people, being thoughtful, to be kind, to be nice and to empower the world with our words to make this world wide web and the people in it a better place, to make someones day better. We all come to the internet in whatever we desire and to de-stress ourselves to read positive and great things, to have fun and be productive in what we do. As long as it is something that is a good example to contribute to our world, then it is all good.

Respect each other, and help each other out.

We have the choice to change the world to make it better and it all starts with what we choose. There is nothing and no excuse to say that you have “No Choice,” Because you do have “A Choice“. Think and use your time wisely on social media sites. Whatever is going on in your personal life, does not have to be broadcasted on social media. All the best and make the right decisions. It will impact you, your future and the social media world. Think before you submit.

100th Centennial of The Armenian Genocide – Genocide Prevention

Will you be Canada’s Capital in Ottawa, Ontario on April 24, 2015?
100 years
Parliament Hill to March to the Turkish Embassy.

The Armenian Genocide Centennial
April 24 1915 – April 24, 2015

It is important that we raise as much awareness as possible, not only in attending Ottawa for the Armenian Genocide commemoration, but everywhere in the world in many communities. The Armenian Genocide began on April 24, 1915 where the Turkish Ottoman empire tried to wipe out all Armenians, they massacred and killed 1.5 million Armenians as well as stealing our lands, displacing people from their homes, stealing our Mount Ararat where Noah’s Arc took its final resting place. We must continue to spread awareness.

Social Media is a powerful tool which can transmit information instantly. raise awareness here on Facebook, re-tweets, re-blogs, go to twitter, tumblr, WordPress, create more Armenian websites, other social media outlets, go to newspapers, newscasters, broadcasters, educate NON-Armenians about the Armenian Genocide and to spread the word to finally make genocide history, not only in Armenians, but Genocide as a whole to prevent it in our world.

I am not just stating about The Armenian Genocide, but the genocides that have happened around the world and those it has affected. We’ve asked Google to doodle in Memory of the Armenian Genocide on April 24, 2015. Hopefully they will honor our wish. It is not the sole purpose of advertising, but to prove a point, to spread to the word and users of Google to stand up against these criminal acts and take it to those high up in authority across the world to put their foot down and do something good for the world and to leave a great legacy instead of being cruel to people.

It does not matter the culture, race, religion we are all in, if people have to fight for religion, then its not a religion, it is cowardly and disgusting. One thing I detest is racism, discrimination. In the end we are all the same. colour, religion, and different beliefs should not be an issue in our world, but unfortunately it is still going, ignorance is still on the rise and without spreading the word out, the world will keep going backwards. Let us eliminate Genocide, Crimes, Wars and senseless killings in our world and focus mainly on to better life by being more helpful, positive, happy, spreading love, joy, smiles and beauty around the world.

We can make this world a more beautiful and peaceful place. It is all in our hands. We make it or break it. So lets get going and Lets make it!

What is Endometriosis? Raising Awareness

Endometriosis is a immune system disease as well as hormonal of which cells are similar to that line the uterus *Endometrium* which produces growth outside of the uterine cavity. It is commonly on the membrane which the abnormal cavity lines to the peritoneum. Endometriosis is an excruciatingly painful feeling you get that is worse than having your menstrual cycle monthly. The most common cause is dysmenorrhea.

Endometriosis is usually diagnosed during the reproductive years, also has been diagnosed way before that as well. It can cause infertility, poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), you can develop many cysts, and many other conditions of the female reproductive system. It can cause irregular menstrual periods, missed periods, as well as causing dislocation of organs around the reproductive system with the bowels, bladder, fallopian tubes, uterus, ovaries. The nervous system can also be affected by Endometriosis. Hormonal imbalances can be a factor as well.

Pelvic pain can range mid to severe aches, cramps, and pain that makes you feel like you have been stabbed repeatedly. you can feel the impact to the legs, lower abdomen, back, and down to the rectal areas as well. It depends from person to person on the severity of the case. It causes urine urgency, as well as voiding painfully sometimes. It also complicates intercourse and makes it very painful.

If you are experiencing very painful menstrual cramping, it is best to go see a gynecologist, and your family doctor to send you to a specialist to see what is going on with an ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan, or whatever examinations are needed to determine the main cause of what is going on. It is always a good idea to be screened, even if you are not active in intercourse. When you are on your period and it is extremely heavy, and periods that last over 7 days, it is a good idea to get screened right away to figure out what is going on.

Unfortunately when you do get diagnosed with Endometriosis, there is no cure for it, however there are a variety of treatment options such as surgery, hormonal, and pain medication. It depends on a persons situation and varies from what stage of Endometriosis that you have.

Endometriosis is a huge thing and not many people know about it or maybe they have and some people do not know what it is. It always good to ask questions and talk to other women who have Endometriosis and to get educated on these things.

I want to spread awareness as much as possible about this as I know someone who has this and its unfortunate what she is going through. I wish her all the best with this crazy disease. Women and girls go through a lot as they are growing up and going into adulthood. The body changes so much, especially when you get your first menstrual cycle. It all begins. Sometimes even before that.
It is so important for women to see your doctors regularly. Even if you do not feel anything wrong, it is always a good idea to get checked out for a peace of mind. It really is a good idea because its better to be safe and to know. Best wishes to you.

Armenian Memorial Faith Build – Habitat for Humanity – The Armenian Genocide Centennial

100 Youth for 100 Years.
In dedication to the Armenian Genocide 1915-2015
of the 1.5 Million Armenians that were killed by the Turkish Ottoman Empire.

About the Event and the Armenian Memorial Faith Build:
In the Words from The Armenian Family Support Services (AFSS)

This project will commemorate the Armenian Genocide Centennial by giving back to our community and help build homes for the less fortunate. It will be our way of giving thanks to Canada for its help to Armenians during and after the Genocide.

In 2006, the Armenian Family Support Services (AFSS), Holy Trinity Armenian Church, started a collaborative and first of its kind initiative with Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area called the “Armenian Memorial Faith Build” which annually has commemorated the Armenian Genocide while making a difference in our local communities. Since we started this initiative, over 130 participants raised over $14,000 for HFH(Habitat for Humanity) Toronto.

Once again, we are preparing for a Memorial Build in April 2015. This year being the Centennial year of the Armenian Genocide, we are targeting 100 youth to participate over a period of 2 Saturdays to take part in the build. This initiative will be part of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Events.

We hope you will join us and be a part of this milestone. We need to remember and honour those who perished 100 years ago in the first genocide of the 20th Century.
