The Dream to Meet Mark Zuckerberg – Founder of Facebook

Recently in the last 10 years or so, social media has been booming and blossoming like wild flowers. It is incredible how social media is such a viral and powerful tool in our lives which many of us use it for our businesses, ourselves, to communicate with friends, family and colleagues, and Mark Zuckerberg made that possible with Facebook. Mark is the founder and creator of the giant social media outlet and now more than a billion users are on the website.

All of a sudden A few weeks ago, as I was sleeping, I had this dream that I had met with Mark Zuckerberg and we teamed up to build another social media and networking outlet called “SocialCore” which went viral in seconds, which then millions of people joined our launched website within the week. I remember in my dream, I had flown to California in San Francisco, then Chicago, New York, Boston, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal and other places to brand, market and do many interviews with Mark Zuckerberg to Television, YouTube and other media outlets in Newspapers and more. Then it went global to other continents of the world. It was something so incredible. It was quite the exciting dream, that I didn’t want to wake up, and just keep letting it happen.

Now, with all that said, I really want to meet the King of Facebook, and have dinner with him, and discuss about the leading industry of our world, and pick his brain about this awesome trend of social media going on. Mark and I are only a year and 14 days apart.  It is quite amazing to communicate to people across the world and send e-mails, messages, pictures, videos, likes, groups and other things in an instant. Without this industry, I wouldn’t have met most of my friends whom are so close to me now, I would not have had such beautiful and great fans who support me and my blog, and so much more like they are my family which they are part of my family which I am ever so grateful for Facebook and the journey I am going through now and will never stop. Thank you Mark Zuckerberg. I can hug you a thousand, million times. I appreciate it very much.

Happy 10th Birthday Facebook! Taking Social Media To A New Level

It was 8 years ago that I joined this social media website to stay in touch with family, friends, people in relative to me and people I have met through my travels and beyond. Little did I know, that the circle would get bigger. I met some incredible, beautiful, lovely people from this social media website that I began to meet some of them in person a few years later, which made the world a smaller place. I have yet to meet a few people who I so badly want to meet that I met from other friends on Facebook by merely commenting on a picture or status message and we automatically grew fond of each other, so we added each other and our friendships have blossomed since then.We have become like a family and its an amazing feeling to know that you can take time away from life’s busy schedule and converse and keep updated with your Facebook Family online.

Facebook unites many people around the world. Its incredible on how things fall into place, and see how many people are interested in the same things you are by just joining groups, pages and fan pages of a famous personality, idol, or other miscellaneous things.

Facebook definitely makes the world smaller and in seconds a lot of photos, videos, links, news, sending wishes for birthdays, baby, wedding, engagement, graduation, university announcements, invitations to events and parties, status messages, comments, messages, likes, groups, pages, businesses, food, restaurants, menus, recipes, radio stations, entertainment, movies and other things gets transmitted throughout the world. Sometimes all you need is Facebook to get all your news and information with the help of Links of course. I love Facebook because it’s a website that I am so grateful for and for Mark Zuckerberg who created this so that our communication becomes easier with the world and encountering many people on all walks of life.

Thank you Facebook for Connecting me to the world and to people I would never have met if it wasn’t for you. I am so blessed to have you all on my list and I love you all very much! Mind you, I am very careful with my selections on who I choose to add-on my friends list. I have been around on the Internet since 1997 and I am very well-educated when it comes to social media moguls and everything else.

If anybody has anything bad to say about Facebook, it’s because of the way you use it, Some use it carelessly, some use it to do bad things, some use it to do stupid things. As long as you use Facebook wisely and know what you are doing, and what you are sharing, posting and who you have on your Facebook account, that is good, but do not post every single aspect of your life as it can be misinterpreted. So the bottom line is, if you do not want your personal business on a social media site, do not post it at all because somebody can see it within the second you post it. Some things have to remain private and don’t use Facebook to bully others, hurt or offend other people, Photoshopping in a bad way and making insensitive posts. Post wisely, because each thing you post does not go away, even after deleted. Especially on a Social Media website, that can be accessed by billions of people around the world. So be careful, exercise caution and use it to inspire, to be kind, to do great things with it like communicating, and enjoying it.

Do you use Facebook in a great way? Do you have an account? If so, what are your thoughts about the social media website? What do you like or not like about it? I would love to hear your opinions on it. How can you spread the awareness to use Facebook in a good manner and not use it in the wrong way?

Most about Facebook is good, incredible, and awesome and I believe that Facebook has changed the interface of communications forever. I wish FB Continued success throughout the years. Heres to strengthening communication of people from a distance, and cheers to everlasting friendships through Facebook across the many miles around the world. Happy Birthday Facebook! Heres to another 10 years and beyond!

Avoid Flying on United Airlines

Avoid United Airlines and Star Alliance at all times if You can.

On August 22nd, 2013, I was at Toronto’s Pearson Airport YYZ, and I was ever so excited to board my plane to head to Boston where I had a layover in Newark, New Jersey first. I had arrived at the airport about 3 hours before, and I had seen that the Gate for my flight had not been announced yet until about an hour and a half before, so I went to my gate F89, and then I got hungry so I got myself a bagel with jam which is the safest thing to eat at the airport, so as I came back and ate my mini breakfast, I saw that my flight was on time 10:59am which I said ok thank goodness. As I took a bite and turned my head away from the UNITED FLIGHT Screen, I take a look and now my flight is at 11:20am. I said ok, no big deal 20 minutes is not all that bad, then I had a conversation with one of the other people who are boarding my plane and killed time that way.

I look again and it said its delayed again until 11:50am. At this time I got so angry, my patience ran thin and marched right to the United Counter and I said I hope you know I am not going to make my flight in Newark, New Jersey to go to Boston which was supposed to board at 2pm, the attendant didn’t give a hoot what happens to me the way her expression was, so then I was yelling at them and fought with them, I said you better get me to Boston today, I said I do not care how you do it, but I demand to get on a plane. After fighting with them for almost 20 minutes they got me on a 4pm flight from New Jersey to Boston. I said to them I have a reunion with my beautiful ladies in Boston and I am the last one to get there, I said I better get there before it gets dark. So in New Jersey, I only waited an hour, but that hour felt like 8 hours to me. I just want to get there and be in the arms of my sisters. I am never connecting flights again and I am never flying with united again. They are so unprofessional, its not even funny, the flight attendants don’t even smile, they don’t even care and are rude to the passengers. If it wasn’t for us passengers and people booking flights, these airlines would not be in business, so they better take good care of us. I do not know how United Airlines and Star Alliance are still in Business. for the life of me. Passengers shouldn’t have to fight, and they shouldn’t demand to be taken care of to where passengers are going. So after I fought with them, they protected my airfare. I told them that I was going to write about united airlines and the poor service I received.

In the end I am happy I got to Boston and I got there safe which is the most important thing and I am not complaining about that and I know the scenario could have been worse, but the principal and the point to the matter is that, they should handle things in a more professional way and give passengers more options of a safe and quick way to get to peoples destinations and be humble, patient and understanding. That was my last time with the airline. They need to get pointers from Air Transat, Westjet, Jetblue, Delta, Sunwing, Emirates. Thats all I know.

Oh yes and I forgot to add that they had to shut off the whole plane and restart it again due to a faulty wire for the air conditioning which repaired itself. THATS COMFORTING. So another 15 minutes was gone… I was so angry.  They can delay and cancel flights all they want, but when you are late for your flight or when you just make it in time, they make such a big deal, but if its their fault, they do not care. Craziness. If you want to travel on a hassle free airline, contact me. I have been on many many different airlines.

I Will Never Fly With United Airlines Again

On the night of October 18th, 2012, I had embarked on United Airlines from Las Vegas, Nevada to Cleveland Ohio for a layover to where we were supposed to fly to our final destination to Buffalo International airport, which never happened. We were supposed to fly out by 8:30am from Cleveland to make it to Buffalo at almost 10am in the morning, but that never happened. They kept announcing that there is a delay, the plane has not arrived from Newark, New Jersey, and kept making us wait and wait, and then the announced that the plane has arrived, but we have to wait again until 10:30am to board our plane, that never happened either. At this point, people started getting really mad and saying, can’t we just board any plane to buffalo? The Airline personnel were very rude to people, and not being professionals at all, and they were carrying on and laughing, thinking they are all that, while people are sitting around when they are doing nothing for anybody. After that, they asked for 2 volunteers to stay back because of overbooking on a plane. How can a plane be overbooked when seats are assigned? No flight should be overbooked, which I find to be ridiculous and strange. Now, that is not enough, and now United Airlines delayed us again at 12:20pm. Now we all started to get really mad.

These disabled people were also treated with disrespect and were left stranded too. Now I started to get really mad, and I went up to the counter at the gate and I just reeled into them and this man started yelling and the police were called to keep the peace. Now at this point, I got really angry because We needed to get home and our car was left in Buffalo. Now the idiots at the airline counter made another announcement that freaked people out, you don’t announce that the plane is broken and for faulty wiring. They did not handle it in a professional manner at all. They should be fired. You just have to say, due to maintenance issues, we must keep the plane grounded, so we regret to inform you that the flight has been cancelled. that is all they had to say to people. Not the plane is broken. People got freaked out and right away were trying to find alternate travels. Now, here is the part I really hated. They knew what was happening with the plane, so they kept us at the gate for such a long time where we could have found another alternate transportation until then. So another flight would have not been available until Monday, we said NO WAY, were renting a car and driving to Buffalo which took another 4 to 5 hours. So we went back got our luggage and made our journey to the rental car place, got the rental and out we went. It was a very very long day and plus being treated terribly by this airline with no dignity and respect on top of that.

If I don’t have to travel to the United States and take American based Airlines, I will not because United Airlines sucks and I will never travel with them again. I will take other airlines that are not American but then again I have family and friends in the states. The Airline personnel in Cleveland, Ohio are very rude and they laugh at people and give people these looks. Plus paying 25 bucks for checked baggage is a total rip off and they said, they cannot reimburse you for your checked baggage. Are they kidding me? and the planes are so uncomfortable. Everything was perfect up until the last day. It took over 26 hours until we got home. It was crazy and we were dead tired as we never slept a wink. They are such money hungry people and they gave us a joke voucher for 10 bucks  each for breakfast and what did that cover? Barely nothing we had to give them more, and everything is expensive at the airport. It is unbelievable. We were starving and didn’t care. we just ate the breakfast, left to go back to our gate and we still had a delay then cancellation. Then we made friends with other frustrated passengers and we all became a team and started mouthing off and yelling and bickering. I really felt for the girl who broke her ankle in Vegas and had to get home. She was so upset and crying. They didn’t care about her either. What a drama it was. Then they give us 300 bucks each for a voucher to use within one year with another United Airlines flight, but I will never step foot on another United Airlines plane again. United States needs to improve A LOT on Air travel. It sucks and airport and plane travel is no fun anymore!

What A Lovely Summer I am Having — Uniting With Facebook Friends Months

Lately life has been so incredible. This summer and last summer, I united with many of my facebook friends whom I met and we finally met. In the past 3 weeks I have met with 3 other people who are so sweet and lovely.  It has been so emotional for me and meeting them face to face really was something beautiful. Last night I ended up crying with happy tears because for so long when you talk online and see each others pictures, and all of a sudden your together and hearing each others voices and seeing each others reactions and everything is something so surreal and beautiful. I will never forget this summer and last summer. Such a lovely thing. The 3 times that I met my lovely facebook friends within the last 3 weeks was not planned. It just happened. Sometimes when you plan things it doesn’t follow through or it can, but sometimes its so much nicer when its spontaneous, sudden and not planned. I love those a lot. I remember one time when I went to Montreal last year. A friend of mine visited me in Toronto and said, Talin lets go to Montreal for a week. So we drove together and I surprised my friends in Montreal that I am there for a week. So everyday, I saw my friends there and we hung out and some I met for the first time because we met through facebook. It was a lovely week. I cannot put to words how excited I have become and so emotional at the same time. I will never forget these feelings and I will never forget the special moments. It was short, but very sweet and whenever I am having a rough day, I will always remember these moments and smile.

The power of the internet is something else. I know they say its a crazy battlefield with strange people on the internet and there could be, but all you have to do is be cautious and careful and everything else will come along. I am very careful with whom I meet from online and I know who is real online or fake because being on the internet for so long, I sense things quickly and I am more aware of what is going on and whom I speak with. I don’t go on any other chat sites or anything. I am on Facebook and I join groups to my interest and most people add me on facebook after chatting and getting to know one another. God bless my beautiful friends I made from it. Never under-estimate the internet. It is how you utilize it and how you carry on with it. Social networking is fabulous. I love it so much. All the best to everyone and I hope one day people will be as lucky as I meeting their internet buddies.

What A Great Night – I Love Summer Nights

Last night with a few great friends I have known for years, we went and had a nice relaxing time by the waterfront of Lake Ontario, and we decided to have a little bonfire and just chill out and look at the clear sky with so many stars. It was so beautiful. We always do this once a month during the summer time. We try to spend as much we can outdoors. After about 2-3 hours that past, there were these awesome people who came by and said hello and asked if they can join us around our fire pit. We said yes sure, so we met new people and they seemed like pretty nice people. Especially the one who initiated and asked. So they were kind enough to bring us some more firewood as we had run out of it, which we said thank you and they stood with us for a good a hour or so, and then they said thanks for sharing the fire with us, then they left and we were still there. We left around 1:30 almost 2am. It was a lovely night I won’t forget. A night full of laughter, stories and many more. I wish it can stay summer forever here, but unfortunately not. I love not having to worry about jackets and long clothes. lol

I love summer nights. Its so relaxing and not cold at all, and just taking in the summer air is so fabulous. We were a bit out of the city and the air was clean and so peaceful without lights and all that action. There were not too many people at the park and at the waterfront and it was great without all that commotion from other places. It is nice to get away from the grind of life and just go relax without nothing to think about. I remember when we first went together as a group, it was something that we said, hey lets do this again, and we chose a place where it is nice and peaceful, but everyone once in a while there would be the go train passing by or the VIA Rail, and other trains, but it is cool to see them. They go ever so fast. It is nice to see that too. So it was almost time to leave, so we put out the fire with Lake Ontario water, and then we were packing up to go, and while walking to our cars, we felt ever so relaxed and we hung out some more by the cars. We can never get enough of each other and we always try to stick together and be together no matter what we do. Every Friday nights we hang out, go out to different restaurants, and just have an awesome time together. I have such a nice group of friends and it has been years that we have been doing this. Maybe over 5 years that is for sure.

Gotta love the outdoors and how a bonfire brings people together. Even total strangers who came by and hung out with us. That was something really neat and I won’t ever forget that. They were nice young people. They were in their late teens to early 20’s. They seemed like calm and lovely people, so we invited them over. They really appreciated that and they thanked us and they shared with us too. All the best to them. It is nice to be inviting and accepting of others. It is a beautiful thing. Being kind and being inviting is great, because I believe in Karma and I believe that what goes around comes around, so be kind to others and good things will come to you like the extra fire wood they gave us which lasted us for the remainder of the night. Without that, we wouldn’t have had anymore. So the moral of the story is, be kind and share. Even to total strangers, and they will appreciate it. I experienced a new kind of humanity last night. That was something I will never forget.
