The News Media Deliverance – We Want The Truth

In our lives now with constant information being transmitted through our televisions, tablets, cell phones, radio, internet, social media and news sources; we are often caught up on the news as it happens from news media sources. Now, how do we know that we are getting the real truth? Some speculate and suspect that when major news stories hit the headlines of newspapers, and online articles, we think that the news media and parts of social media are hiding the real truth.

These TV, radio, internet stations, editors, writers and how news is conducted and presented to us viewers and listeners is very important. Delivering news no matter how false or how true it is, sometimes we can never know the real deal. Who do we trust? How do we put faith in our news media? How are reporters, anchors and those obtaining information are truly understanding and how are they working on gathering material to present to us? We put our trust in these news stations to give us the truth and wholesome communication.

Sometimes, the bottom line is that these people are being paid to deliver news to us and even though some of them know it is wrong, they have to keep up their job status to prevent themselves from getting fired, so they have to follow the rules and do what they are told to do.

We have seen Anchorman, we have seen Mr. Deeds film and other movies and shows that describe what it takes to be reporters and anchors and it is a big responsibility as the public counts on them to deliver with quality. I think these news media publications need to be more truthful, tell a news as it is and not sugarcoat and hide any secrets as the truth always comes out. Actually, some news stations have been called out because of inaccuracy in news and that builds tension and no trust.

That is why a lot of people opt out of listening to the news and don’t tune in much anymore as the bad seems to dominate more than good news. Now, a lot of people get news from their newsfeeds in social media. We also have to be very careful of the news source. A lot of sites now are full of satire material.

we must learn not to fall for all news and really focus on what and whom we are listening to. Especially nowadays with the COVID19 pandemic, all this chaos we are going through. We need to always hear the truth, and we need to be kept in the loop too. Everything needs to get out in the open. Our lives depend on it and our families, friends and how we need to move forward. We need to be able to see our loved ones again, make memories and more.

When we tell the truth to people, they will appreciate it more because that prepares them for what they need to do. When kids and teens commit crimes, the news must include their names and tell us the truth of who they are, when weather, and other news happens, the news media needs to stop making it so dramatic and by editing a lot of detail and leaving very important aspects of the news out.

We need truth in advertising, in our lives and in our world. Lying to general public will make matters worse. I know it has been like this for a long while, but I wish it wasn’t. We have the ability to change all this, we have the ability to make responsible and good decisions. No matter what deliverance is very important. Lets put trust back into media again, lets put our faith in what we watch.

Quality needs to make a comeback and it is lacking due to mismanagement and lack of communication.

In the comments below, please write your concerns about media. what changes do you want to see? What is your opinion on what media should be? Have you lost trust in what you listen to? Why is news  important to you? would love to hear from you.

A BBC News Serious Interview Gone Wrong

As you may or may not have heard or seen by now, a BBC News interview about South Korea with Political Science Professor Robert Kelly of  the Pusan National University in South Korea went horribly wrong when children barged into his office at his home during a serious interview on BBC News.

Professor Kelly was weighing in on what is happening with the country’s crisis when his two kids began to act up in the background.

Then in a panic a woman walked in so quickly in the room to pull the kids out of the room to save the interview and to allow Prof. Kelly to resume without interruption again.

The video of the interview went viral all over social media. A lot of mixed emotion, comments and different views and opinions from people about the situation. Some said it was wrong of Professor Kelly to push the child behind, while some said it was to protect the child from going on the screen.

The BBC interviewer then said “I think one of your children has just walked in”. It was a very serious matter but handled in such a great way that the interview was completed successfully while managing to keeping his composure.

I think the next time Prof Kelly gives an interview, the door behind will be locked so that another interruption like that will not happen again.

Los Angeles Here I come for the 3rd Time!

In my whole life, I dreamt about going to Los Angeles and Hollywood, California. It was my first time in October 2012, and I must say I did choke up and was so teary. I Saw the Hollywood sign and I just lost it. I just couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Since I was a child looking at movies, television, ads in the paper, travel ads, magazines, entertainment stuff, and all I saw was LA, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and of course; the Hollywood sign. I knew where the celebrity central and the biggest entertainment capital of the world is.

As I was approaching the Hollywood sign above the Griffith Observatory, I cried up a storm. I was an emotional wreck. All my dreams of going to Los Angeles came true. I couldn’t believe I was close to all the stars, seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame with all the artists, entertainers, then ending up right outside Jimmy Kimmel’s show studio set. Then seeing Capitol Records, and all these entertainment broadcasting corporation buildings. Then I saw the Iconic 405 Freeway everyone was talking about. They say that it was such terrible traffic and you are so right. So many lanes and still lots of traffic. Even the carpool lane didn’t make any difference.

In my mind, I was thinking of all the award shows, the red carpet, and I was keeping my eyes peeled and had my eyes everywhere with the hopes that I would meet a celebrity. That was highly unlikely, but It could happen and it has happened.

Anyway, my 2nd trip to Los Angeles was in May 2015, where we went through Santa Monica Beach where we hung out for a bit, then driving through Beverly hills. Seeing these huge houses where majority of them are covered in high bushes and trees, and a lot of the celebrities live there. You would see the home cleaners park their cars outside on the road, and them coming out with buckets, mops and other cleaning products, then you would see super expensive cars. This time, I did see Actor Hugh Jackman drive a black Porsche. It was definitely him. I can tell for sure. Then I looked online and it was true. We also traveled to Fresno, San Francisco, Drove on the Pacific Coast Highway, went to Newport Coast, Newport Beach.

My 3rd Los Angeles trip will be in about 3-4 months from now. I am excited to spend about 10-11 days there. I am definitely going to other parts of LA such as Pasadena, Glendale, Malibu, La Crescenta, and so many other places. I have a lot of time now to plan and I am going to be so organized. Gotta love LA. I cannot believe in just 3-4 years, I will have gone 3 times. I did not go all my life. I am really excited to be amongst the stars again.

I can’t wait to indulge into In-N-Out burger, and also the Famous Oscars Pizza Guy Edgars Pizza. Big Mamas and Papas, and amongst other great restaurants I have heard about.  I hope to see Ellen Degeneres, go to Warner Bros, CBS Studios, NBC Universal and more.

I just want to Meet Bradley Cooper, Jason Statham, Chris Hemsworth, and Channing Tatum. 🙂 Hopefully, will bump into them at LAX Airport or down a street walking or something. Now that would be awesome. I can hardly wait!

Chores are Development of Responsibility & Life Skills

As we are born and become children, majority of our parents/grandparents/guardians have taught us about responsibility, doing chores around the house and to gain experience and knowledge on to keep clean, tidy, and organized. Also teaches kids to obey, and prioritize life to do what is important first, and then make time for fun and play after.

When children wake up in the morning, they teach them on the importance of getting up to make the bed, brush the teeth, groom themselves, wash up and shower for good hygiene, and then they teach them how to eat, and then venture off to school with the grandparents/parents/guardian or with a school bus.

During school, the teachers and other staff of the school teach kids on importance of learning about the world, how to read, write, to learn about many subjects such as sciences, music, gym, dance, language classes, mathematics, chemistry, and the most important thing to teach children to be kind to other classmates, develop group skills during group work, also leadership.

When school is over and the children are on their way home, that skill to teach them about sharing, kindness, respecting others should also be implemented at home, so as they can continue that outside of school. The children come home, and the importance to wash hands, and change out of their clothes, and to start homework if they have homework that day and teach them to do homework first before they play with toys, tablets, colour and all that.

When it is time to make dinner and set the table, it is always a good idea to get your child involved in cooking, helping set the table with plates, cutlery, and then children should start to develop skills on washing dishes, and after dinner to help clean the table with a cloth, taking the dishes to the sink, and make the parents/guardian/grandparents life easier and for the children to help them out. This also teaches them for the future when they have greater responsibility when they get older.

Nowadays, it is so difficult to teach children these life skills because of the screens, video gaming consoles and technology that has taken over. Nowadays children always want to feel that sense of entitlement to do whatever they want, whenever they want without having to listen to their parents/guardians/grandparents. They feel the need to always want to be on their screens and not develop skills that will benefit them in the future. some Kids these days are immune to technology and less hands on skills, not having manners, not respecting and being kind to others, talking back to adults and also rude gestures and mannerisms. Some children are so spoiled and tend to have an answer for everything. We should never allow it for it to get that far.

Children see everything, they are observant, they listen to everything that goes on in the house. start them early, influence them in such a way where it becomes easier to ask them to do chores. Tell them to do things in such a way where they won’t feel threatened. Give them conditions that if they do not help clean, or do simple things like washing hands or whatever, tell them that they will not have a birthday party, tell them that they will not be allowed TV Time or play time if they do not eat, or listen to do things around the house. Also, nowadays children do not have an idea of responsibility and helping out family. They need to learn that.

Nowadays, children are untouchable, and if heaven forbid, you really yell at them and give them discipline, they will use it against you and they may involve teachers and other authorities. These days, showing children how to do chores, and get them off of their bums to help around the house, and develop these important skills is a chore and a very difficult task in itself. These screens, smartphones and devices are like a magnet to them.

As adults teach their children that it is bedtime, that means washing up again, brushing teeth, undoing the bed, getting clothes and everything ready for the next school day or whatever else, making their lunches, and everything.

Then the days that children are at home, it is important to teach them how to vacuum, wipe and mop the floors, dust the furniture, clean doorknobs, clean the kitchen counters and the table, take out the garbage, help wash the car and everything. Of course it is important to give them time to play, and do fun stuff as well. I am not saying that they should always be doing chores and everything, but they need to learn balance, time management and everything. There is a limit and time for it all.

It is the time now, and to be strict with children. strict in such a way that will not intimidate them, but to put them on track. Set rules, guidelines, time limits to screen time, and monitor what they look at and supervise them to make sure they are making good decisions while on the computer and so much more. That is the important thing.

When you see they are trying and everything and doing great work at school, and at home, give them gifts, or surprise them to a movie, take them out to an amusement park, take them to play in the park, when they obey and do good, give them an allowance of whatever amount you wish, teach them the value of a dollar when they do get allowances and teach them about spending accordingly.

One day when I have children of my own, all these things will be taught to them and I will not allow them to do whatever they want all the time. Not going to happen. they need to be taught lessons of life and develop skills.

If you have children and/or take care of them such as being a guardian, babysitter, or grandparents. What skills and what things do you teach them?

The Family Matters TV Show – Nostalgia Hits Again

As you may or may not know, Family Matters was an American Sitcom show which began in September 1989 to May 1997 on ABC. After the show moved to CBS from September 1997 to July 1998 when they went off the air. The Family matters Family is known as the Winslow Family. A family of Middle-class African American’s living in Chicago Illinois. After some time had gone in the first season, the show introduced the funny and nerdy neighbor (Steve Urkel – Played by Jaleel White). Urkel, then was made the highlight of the show and became the main character.

The show ran on 9 successful seasons. It’s popularity grew so much. Family Matters was created by William Bickley, and Michael Warren. It was developed by Robert L. Boyett and Thomas L. Miller. They completed 215 episodes.

The theme composer of the beginning was Jesse Frederick, Bennett Salvay and Scott Roeme and the opening theme was “As Days Go By”

The Family Matters cast was Reginald VelJohnson, Jo Marie Payton, Rosetta LeNoire, Darius McCrary, Kellie Shanygne Williams, Jaimee Foxworth, Joseph & Julius Wright, Telma Hopkins, Bryton McClure, Jaleel White, Shawn Harrison, Michelle Thomas, Orlando Brown, and Judyann Elder.

Their Screen name actors and actresses are, Carl Otis Winslow, Harriette Baines- Winslow, Edward “Eddie” Winslow, Laura Lee Winslow, Judith “Judy” Winslow, Estelle “Mother” Winslow, Richard “Richie” Crawford, Rachel Baines- Crawford, Steven “Steve” Urkel Stefan Urquelle Myrtle Urkel, Waldo Geraldo Faldo, Myra Monkhouse, and Jerry Jamal “3J” Jameson.

Steve Urkel says his funny lines such as “Did I do that?” begins laughing and snorting at the same time. His infatuation and love for Laura Winslow was what was so great and awesome. Steve Urkel always caused trouble. lol. It was quite funny and some of it was serious too.

You might be watching The Young and The Restless and the one who plays Devon Hamilton was little Richie on the show and his name is Bryton McClure.

It was a great quality show. Nostalgia hit me again and I remember when I was in Chicago, I was passing through a place that was exactly shown on the beginning opening theme of the show. I felt like I was in the opening credits at that moment. I will forever cherish and love this show. I also did re-enact the theme to that as well. This show really touched base on reality, on family, the struggles and as well as a comedic touch to it all. They touched base on serious matters and addressed it in a tasteful manner. Very well done.

I guess, some of us if not all of us who were growing up in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s we all were glued to television before the internet was the internet.

You do not find shows like this these days that is for certain. Unfortunately, hope I am mistaken, but I don’t think and feel that we will ever see quality and family-oriented shows such as this in modern day television.

My Dream to Meet Bradley Cooper – Hope it Becomes Reality

Before I go on about my dream to meet the Handsome and gorgeous Bradley Cooper, I want to tell you a bit about him. Well, as you may or may not know, Bradley is an actor, entertainer in film and he was born on January 5th, 1975. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the USA. He has been nominated and won many awards in the last few years. He has also been a presenter for awards. He wears suits and clothes very well. He is stylish and knows what to wear for every occasion. I can’t get over on how good and awesome he looks every single time. He is so good looking, it is unbelievable.

You may know the movies he played in to name a few from Wedding Crashers, Hang Over Trilogy, American Sniper, American Hustle, Aloha, Burnt, Joy, Silver Linings Playbook, Limitless, Serena, The Place Beyond The Pines, The A-Team, Valentines Day, He’s Just not that Into you, Nip/Tuck, Failure to Launch, Wet Hot American Summer and more.

He is so sweet and a great actor of whom I have grown to love and respect. At award shows, he is such a thoughtful and great person to bring his mother Gloria as his date and I can tell how close he is with his mother and that is something that is so beautiful.

———————————————————————————————–

Now, it has been my dream to meet Bradley Cooper even before the Hang Over Trilogy Started. I began to tune into his movies when he played in Wedding Crashers. That was the first movie I saw of him. So, at that point, I scoured through the internet to find his name and I looked him up and it was incredible what I found. I saw some pictures and his biography. I then became interested in him. He is one of the celebrities that I adore so much. So, it has been many years now.

Bradley is absolutely so incredibly handsome, good looking, those blue eyes, his voice, his complete hotness, has a great personality of which I see when he is on talk shows such as Ellen, Jimmy Fallon, and I watched Inside the Actors Studio. He has so much talent and greatness.

I promise myself that if one day I do get the biggest luck in the world to meet him that I will not go all crazy on him to the point that I wouldn’t know what to do with myself, and be one of those super crazy fans that jump all over him. Don’t want to scare or creep him out. That is the last thing I would do. After all, he is just an ordinary person but the only difference is that he is well known, but other than that, don’t understand how some big fans go all super crazy. I understand that, but people really need to keep calm.

I know it gets exciting, you are in the moment and everything, but there are borders and lines you do not cross. No matter who the person is. I admit if I do meet him, I will be excited, but will contain myself and just have an ordinary and regular conversation with him and be happy that I got to meet him, take my photos with him and just enjoy the moments. I will probably forget my name and be in shock, but there is always that fine line.

Hopefully, when I go to Los Angeles and Hollywood in May 2016, I can have that chance. besides, last year in May 2015 when I did go to LA, the first billboard I saw getting out of the airport in LAX was his Movie Aloha. that there told me something. I was happy. Not happy because I could not meet him, but it could and will happen someday right?

If there is only a gift I would want, and that is this.

I wish Bradley all the more health, happiness and success now and in the future. Hopefully, one day I will be in that journey to meet him and making my wishes and dreams come true.

Award Shows & Fashion Styles Season is Here

It is that time of year again. The award show season with Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globes Awards, Emmy’s, People’s Choice Awards, The Oscars, and Academy Awards are going to be shown in the next few weeks. The red carpets begin to be laid out, the world’s stage, millions of people tuning in, the glitz, glamour, celebrities, actors, actresses, film makers, directors, screen writers, nominees, in the hopes that they will get on stage to receive awards. The photographers, media, trending on social media begins, and instant uploads of videos and photos for the online world.

Now, in recent years the fashion styles of the dresses have changed drastically. I think that the dresses are a little too revealing, and some of the dresses the actresses and others wear show too much skin, also some of them have tails at the bottom, and they are also tight. These award shows are seen by millions of people around the world, the photographers, videographers, celebrity and entertainment news, bloggers and others always capture their every move, what these celebrities wear.

It is a big deal. At award shows these people that attend them, need to show discretion on the type of styles they do wear. They have to be comfortable, elegant, formal, all at the same time. Also, the high heels these actresses wear are just too high. When you know that millions of people’s eyes will be on you, you have to set a great example in having great fashion sense, fashion etiquette that there is a time and place to wear everything. These fashion designers absolutely love the attention that their craft is being showcased around the world. Which is fine, and really great, however when you attend big award shows, you must think about your audience, and who is seeing what you are wearing.

I am talking about the dresses that are too revealing on top, in the front and too open in the back all the way to the top of the buttocks. It is too much. being discreet and showing elegance is important.

Nowadays anything goes without thinking about using discretion. They need to think about what they wear before attending these award shows.

What do you think about it? Do you think that the fashion needs to change and they need to start wearing non-revealing and more elegant gowns?

My Full House Nostalgia – My Dream Came True

By: Talin Orfali

As you may or may not know, from September, 1987 to May, 1995, there was an American sitcom named Full House which was created by Jeff Franklin. It was a Miller-Boyett production. They only broadcasted eight seasons as well as 193 episodes. The show then has been syndicated and rebroadcasted. They then created a series of books and other merchandise that were in the market. In 2016 on Netflix, they will show brand new episodes and a reunion.

The actors and actresses of the show were Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Scott Weinger, Blake and Dylan Toumy-Wilhoit, as well as their beloved and adorable dog Comet.

The Show was based out of San Francisco, California, however the show was filmed in Los Angeles in a studio.

The opening theme was “Everywhere you look” performed by Jesse Frederick and composed by Bennett Salvay & Jeff Franklin.

The show was nominated and also won many awards as well as the actors and actresses on the show.

You would hear the iconic quotes and sayings from the show “How Rude?” “You got it Mister!”, “Have Mercy”, “You Got It dude”, “Wake Up San Francisco”, “Tattle-Tale”, “Oh Mylanta” “Not the Hair” “GA-GA-GA-” “I’m Popeye the sailor Man” and a lot more.

——————————————————————————————————————–

In May, 2015 I ventured out to San Francisco, California and my nostalgia hit me pretty hard. My Dream had come true. I began to cry with happy tears and thoroughly enjoyed my experience in seeing the Full House on Broderick St and then the Painted ladies homes at Alamo Square Park. I also saw the Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermans Wharf. I also began re-enacting the theme opening of the show. Some people saw me and started to laugh and knew what I was doing. It was pretty cool. I could not believe I went up close and person with the real deal.

I will never forget it. It was absolutely an incredible feeling that was so indescribable, that I saw it all from always watching the show from my childhood. I hope that I can one day meet all the actors and actresses from the show. That is also on my bucket list that I want to cross it off. Their Stage names are DJ Tanner, Stephanie Tanner, Michelle Tanner, Danny Tanner, Uncle Jesse Katsopolis, Aunt Becky, Kimmy Gibler, Steve, Uncle Joey Gladstone, Nicky and Alex.

I always felt like I was part of their family and I felt like I knew them. When I was a kid, I would always have imaginary friends and I would include them in it and then that is where I was dreaming of celebrities coming over to my home, and trying so hard to reach out to the show. I wrote many letters to the production, but I knew how many letters they used to receive, that I got nothing back in return. Which then afterwards I understood why with all the fans and people also writing to the show. Which is completely okay. I was not upset at all.

It was a great show with family values, taught people lessons on how to act, behave, to have manners, to instill responsibility, and so much more. There aren’t these kinds of TV shows anymore that instill family values with quality and excellence.

I will forever love this show and always will. I am excited to tune into the Fuller House and continue with my Nostalgia. Thank you for the memories Full House. You all meant and still mean a lot to me. I love you all very much. I will always cherish each moment as I was growing up with them.

Conan O’Brien Takes Assistant Sona Movsesian to Armenia

Dear Conan O’Brien, Sona Movsesian, Team Coco, and Crew,

I would just like to say thank you to you all for making the trip to my homeland Armenia and for taking Sona Movsesian who had never been to Armenia. That is such an incredible and beautiful gesture that you made for Sona and that flair was definitely felt throughout the Armenian community of the world. Not every boss in the world would do those beautiful and thoughtful things for their friends/workers and that there tells a lot about a person’s character and personality and Conan, I have a tremendous amount of respect for you and your crew, not only because you took Sona to Armenia, but you as a person who demonstrates quality, who is dedicated, and put your employees first. That is a rare occurrence.

You have no idea on how much we Armenians appreciate all that you have done and continue to do. Now, a lot more people know about us and that is something that I/We will forever be grateful for.

It is so awesome on how the #ConanArmenia show was presented to the world. Thank you for adding humor into the show, which made me laugh hysterically. I have watched the episode at least 10 times by now, if not more. I just cannot get enough of it. Sona is a beautiful person who is so full of life and I would love to meet you Conan and Sona someday and tell you in person.

As the show was airing, I was sending out live tweets and explaining to what was going on and I was so excited about it. I must have sent hundreds of #ConanArmenia hashtags throughout the world.

On behalf of all the Armenians in the world including myself, thank you for introducing Armenia our homeland to your viewers and fans, thank you for taking the time to travel thousands of miles to be with Armenians, getting to know and embrace our culture, language, heritage, making Armenian friends, putting us on the map and as well as addressing an important and integral part of our history about The Armenian Genocide, for saying the word Genocide, visiting the Genocide memorial with Sona in the end of the show really put a sweet and touching tribute and for recognizing what had happened to 1.5 Million Armenians who were displaced, massacred in 1915, and for letting people know about it.

When Sona was explaining about her family and what had happened in the village we lost of Sepastia which is now in Turkish lands, really made me all the more emotional as I am sure the Armenian community of the world. I started to cry too with Sona and I felt her feelings about it.

Again, we cannot thank you enough for doing this. We love you Conan, we love you Sona, and may you all have continued success with your show in Los Angeles or wherever life takes you.

Sincerely,

Talin Orfali

I Want To Be Your Moon Because I Want To Shine Brightness On Your Darkest Days Of Your Life

In life, we all have our moments of darkness when unfortunate things happen to us such as losing a loved one, being bullied by others, when we lose a job, when other bad things happen, and I am sure we all have our problems in life and we just want to find ourselves after such a terrible ordeal we’ve had in our lives. Do you ever wonder when you will find brightness even in the darkest hours and days of your life? Do you have feel like you will never find that light again because of the unfortunate things going on in your life? Your loved ones will help guide you and your true friends will stick by you too. I know this is going to sound strange coming from a blogger, but I am also here too. I want to be the moon to you because I want to shine brightness on your darkest days of your life, I want to be there for you, and if you have anything you want to talk about and if you have something on your mind that you want to share and everything, I am here to listen and I will do the best of my ability to give you advice and get you back on your feet.

This morning, I found this quote on Facebook and It is such a powerful quote and it got me to think about how so many people in this world now are living in darkness because now there are so many problems happening in our world and it keeps on increasing. Never forget Me Talin Orfali, I am here for everyone and I want to be the moon in your lives. Never forget these words I say to you because I mean it and stick by to my words especially when it comes to making a difference in someones life, making positive and happy changes to ones life. It is what I am about and it is my life’s motto. I am very passionate about people, and I detest discrimination in every way. I have always told my family and friends, that I am here for you in your darkest days and in the brightest days, and they know that they can confide in me and tell me everything that is going on in their lives and they do tell me everything and that makes me feel great because they know that they can always trust me.

Anybody can trust me because I never share anyone’s problems with others and I keep it all to myself and when people request that they don’t want something shared or a secret to be told to anyone, I never blab and I never open my mouth to anyone because that is not my style and that is not how I was raised. I keep all that to myself and nobody ever knows about it because it is not cool to blab out things that were told to me in confidence. Now my friends respect me more because of that and because they know they can trust me. I really like that and I want to be the same friend to you all and I want to do the same not only for my family and friends, but I want to do it for you all too. If you have anything that you need to talk about, never hesitate. I want to make positive and happy changes in this world.

This world is in dire need of a make-over and I want to be one of the people to make a difference and I want to help the community around me and eventually all over the world. I know I keep bringing up that I want to get on television shows and having these big dreams of one day making it into the big world, but I have my reasons and the reasons being is that I want to do this for humanity and for society and as a human being I want to get out there and do my part in the world, I want to know and feel to myself that I have done my duty and my part in the world, not because I need to do it, but because I want to do it. There is a big difference in needing and wanting and I really want to do it, I really want to get out there and do this for our world and our lifestyles. It is very important to me and I will not give up no matter what comes in my way and whatever obstacle there will be to prevent me from doing so, and that will not stop me. I will always find a way to be the moon on the darkest days of people’s lives, because that’s just my style.

The CN Tower & I

I know it is kind of crazy to even write about this, but growing up as a child and into my lower teens, I was always obsessed and loved the CN Tower a lot. Being able to get up there 2-3 times around those times was something so exciting, being able to experience the observation deck, the glass floor to see down to the street. I would see it from the 401, the Gardiner Expressway, The CNE, and a lot of places around the City of Toronto and downtown. Even from my Grandmothers balcony.

I still know the facts about the CN Tower by heart. I know its a free-standing structure and one would ask, how can someone be obsessed with a tower?

Well, I have always been and always will be sentimental and these things were and still is a big deal for me. CN Tower is one of the most important structures and one of Toronto’s major icons and that makes our skyline what it is. Every time I see it, go near it, it makes me think of my childhood. I have still kept all of the CN Tower stuff I used to collect from magazines and everything. I once had CN Tower Staff mail me a huge package full of Pictures, Facts, Figures and everything back in the day. I am not sure if they still do that now, but if you inquire it, you can e-mail them or contact them here, http://www.cntower.ca/en-ca/contact-us/contact-us.html… I wrote them a letter which I was a kid and I got my package a few weeks later. It was awesome. I still have that too.
I will forever love my City of Toronto and the CN Tower.

You can go to the tower with friends, family, schools and spend a full day at the tower and enjoy the sights, sight-see from the top of the tower, you can observe Lake Ontario, see our major highway arteries, buildings from the north, south, east and west.

Here are some facts/figures about the CN Tower:

Our Ultimate 1308 Miles of California Getaway

A couple of weeks ago on May 21st, 2015 after a long wait and anticipation, Our ultimate California getaway had arrived when I went with my Family. We were so impatient and anxious to get to Toronto Pearson’s YYZ Airport to take our Air Canada Flight AC 789 to Los Angeles Airport LAX at 8am when it took off. As we submitted my boarding pass to the Air Canada attendant and as we made our way to the Aircraft and grabbed our seats, we were absolutely excited for the 5 and a half hour flight, which to us did not feel long at all, as we are used to flights. We arrived at 10:10am LA Time, so we had the full day ahead.

As soon as the aircraft attendants announced that we will be landing momentarily to LAX and as we saw the Los Angeles Buildings in Downtown while landing, the hills, valleys, and the beauty of LA, we began to get more excited then ever and then I said to myself, it is about to get real now. So much is waiting for me to discover, my family to see, my cousins wedding to attend to, Facebook Friends whom I met for the first time, and covering so much ground in so little time. 10-11 days went by like a dream.

It was an incredible time when we went through towns and cities, and firstly after getting our rental car, we made our way to Newport Coast, where we stood the night, taking the 405 Freeway, where then we began driving north to Fresno where my cousin got married, and reunited, and united with family and friends, then after Fresno, we made our way to San Francisco passing through San Jose, Oakland, and many other towns. After San Francisco, we ventured out to Highway 1 Freeway 101 which is the Pacific Coast Highway. It took over 8-9 hours to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles. We made a stop in Santa Barbara for a night, Then we stood in Northridge Area, visited Santa Monica Pier and Beach after that we went back to Newport Coast where we ended our trip with more family time. On May 30th we returned our rental car, then at 10:20pm we departed Los Angeles LAX airport to arrive back to Toronto on May 31st, at 6am in the morning our time.

In Beverly Hills, we were on our way to Santa Monica, where I saw Actor Hugh Jackman driving a black Porsche when he was getting out and stopped on one of the streets in Beverly Hills close to Carmelita Ave with the tall Palm Trees around the homes. All the cars were either Range Rovers, Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari, BMW, Maserati, Teslas and so many more crazily expensive cars around there, and then there were cleaners and maids coming out of some of the stars homes as I was driving and watching the streets. It was quite awesome to see a celebrity in LA… What is a trip to Los Angeles without seeing a celebrity?

With all that you hear from Movies, TV, Entertainment websites and all the hype of Los Angeles with the home of Celebrities, Music Performers, Directors, Producers and a huge Population that works in the entertainment industry somehow are scattered all over Los Angeles area’s. LA is just so huge that you need at least a month to comfortably go all around. 2 weeks is not enough. There is just too much to see, too much to do. If I lived in Los Angeles, I would definitely be in the entertainment industry.

Now Los Angeles is not just about Film, Entertainment and everything. There is far more to it than just film making, awards, studios, mansions, Malibu beach houses, movie sets, the glitz, glamour, vanity, fashion and everything is not just everything about it. There is so much more to do. If you have never been, you should make a trip there whenever convenient for you.

Now, they say that the Highway 401 here is jam packed and so much traffic. You haven’t seen and heard nothing yet. We took doses of the 405, 110, traffic and that is extremely brutal. I do not know how residents of California, LA area can handle that day in and day out. It takes patience, skill and guts to go through that almost everyday. Highway 401 traffic in Toronto is nothing compared to what they go through on the 405 and 110. I would go crazy with that everyday. People of LA are brave.

I love Los Angeles so much. I am excited to make a return next year. I have been back for a couple of days now and I miss it so much already, especially my family and my friends there. Next time I will be there longer to see my other Facebook friends that I didn’t have time to see. Cheers to LA!

There is so much more that I have to say about my trip, but this was just the bit of it.
Now to take off my bucket list:

– I saw the Painted Ladies and the Full House TV Show house, and Alamo Square in San Francisco,
– I saw the Fisherman’s Wharf, also the skyline of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge.
– I saw the Santa Monica Pier
– I Drove on the Pacific Coast Highway
– I went close to the Hollywood Sign
– I saw Beverly Hills and glimpse of Celebrity Homes
– I saw a celebrity in LA – Hugh Jackman in his Black Porsche.

Has Television lost its way?

In the last little while I have not tuned into watching television much and somehow it doesn’t interest me anymore like it used to. So many years back I was glued to it, watching so many different shows and everything else, however recently, something is preventing me from touching the remote control and resorting to social media and getting my news from the internet, communicating online, as well as how busy my life has become outside the virtual world.

Now the question is, has television lost its way? I seem to think so. Nowadays, there isn’t quality content like there used to be. Before this whole stream of reality shows, violence, adult content, coarse language, discretion advised warnings and the string of nothing but bad news has been broadcasted and I just cannot seem to watch anymore of it. I probably spend about an hour or 2 a week watching television with the exception of a few special shows which make me tune in a bit longer, however after that it becomes boring, repetitive and then my TV is shut off. A lot of bad influences come from television and the shows being produced now. Things that teens, children, youth and young adults are tuning in and that is where it becomes dangerous. They think and see it on television, so they thing its alright to do it in real life.

Back before even the 70’s, 80’s, early 90’s, you’d see great quality family values always being implemented, you’d see clean and very well thought of shows that you never got bored of, people were entertained for hours watching their favourite icons play their part, you’d see appropriate clothing, appropriate topics discussed and teaching life lessons to people of all walks of life, things that never offended or hurt anyone, shows that are still discussed up until today from people who grew up in those years.

There is just a couple of good things that are on television now, like the game shows and a few of those sitcoms, award shows, and special events. That is all I tune into. Do you think that TV has certainly changed in the last 20-25 years? I think so. I think it is getting worse and not better. I am glad the TV show reruns are showing at least.

Do you give yourself a time limit to watch?

I’d rather do something more productive like writing, communicating with friends and family, going out, cleaning, cooking, going out to the malls, going out seeing people, doing more hands on crafts, reading, being on the internet and learning so many new things, making new friends online, and so much more.

Do you watch television much? Do you tend to stay away from it?
What are your thoughts?
