The Key Component to Genocide Prevention

The Armenian Genocide

101 Years
1915-2016

On April 24, 1915 the Turkish Government and the Ottoman empire committed a terrible criminal act against humanity, tried to wipe out a whole race and culture. They killed 1.5 Million Armenians, stole our precious landmarks, churches, lands, Mount Ararat, pulled the rug right under us. The blood, flesh, bones, decapitation, tears, fears, displacing people from their homes, families, with Armenians changing their Armenian names to something Turkish so that they will not be targeted and where they will feel protected from harms way. The Turkish Government still denies and lies about ever committing Genocide against the Armenians and also still fails to recognize.

We will prevail, Justice is timeless.

This is why it is imperative to spread Genocide awareness as much as we can so that history will never repeat itself again.

In 2015, we commemorated the centennial. 100 years have gone by and this year in 2016 is the 101st. After 100 years, we will still continue to spread Genocide prevention.

Recognize, Acknowledge, Awareness, Educate, Prevent.

Those are the key components to Genocide prevention.

Not just for the Armenians, but all those in the world who have had to unfortunately, deal with Genocide in other cultures, races.

We received a lot of Global recognition last year which was incredible with all the coverage, letting people know about us, being put on the map, and addressing this very important subject.

Let us utilize the same energy we had during the Armenian Genocide 100th Centennial in 2015 and bring that same drive into 2016, to be big in numbers once again during peace demonstrations, marches, vigils, and so much more.

The 100th Armenian Genocide Commemoration – 2015

The 100th Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide is just 6 and a half Months away. Annually on April 24, we gather together in Canada’s Capital Ottawa in the Province of Ontario and we commemorate the Armenian Genocide. The Turkish Ottoman empire and Government is responsible for murdering and massacre of 1.5 Million Armenian’s in 1915 as well as stealing our precious and beautiful land as well as Mount Ararat which will always be Armenia’s.

The Turkish Government to this very day still denies that they ever did commit a Genocide, which is why we need to spread the word as much as possible. 2015 will be the 100th Commemoration. Where ever you are and will be, however you will commemorate, it is important to come together with other Armenian’s and venture out in the public eye, and in public places to voice ourselves and make this a global recognition. Our efforts need to be taken out of our Armenian communities and churches and solely head to Embassies, Consulates, organize public marches in the metropolitan areas of your city where it is densely populated with visible signs, banners, and our Armenia Flag.

Canada Has recognized the Armenian Genocide and we thank Canada so much as other Countries as well who have recognized. It is only a matter of time until the world comes together to raise awareness and recognition, on not only the Armenian genocide, but all other genocides and terrible acts of humanity throughout the world.
We need to spread the word out to everyone. In Canada, we will be heading to Ottawa, Canada in front of the Canadian Parliament, followed by a march to the Turkish Embassy. April 24, 2015. Usually we begin at 12 noon until everyone arrives in Ottawa from buses from Ontario and Quebec from Cambridge, Toronto, Montreal, Laval, and abroad. For up to date information, bus departure times and other questions, please see your Local Canadian Armenian Community Centre Organization to obtain more information.
Also the information will be posted here as well once we get more news soon. In the meantime it is important to spread awareness as much as possible. Social Media is a huge way to raise awareness. If you have any ideas or suggestions for the 100th Centennial in Ottawa, please contact me. Also if you want to do your own research about the Armenian Genocide and what happened, You can Google, or search on Facebook, Twitter or wherever in social media.

The Armenian Genocide – 98 Years Later – Proof & Evidence of Cowardice Behavior By The Turks

For the past 17 years in a row, I have attended the Armenian Genocide Commemoration Protests in Canada’s Capital Ottawa, but this year I could not attend due to personal reasons that I missed out this year, however throughout the day I had friends update me on what is happening in Ottawa for the April 24, 1915 Armenian Genocide Commemoration March from Parliament Hill then Marching to the Turkish Embassy to keep me in the loop.

Little did I know that in the history of My Attendance in Ottawa for the Armenian Genocide March went into a total new twist and for the first time ever Turkish people that showed up at their Embassy celebrating the Armenian Genocide by killing 1.5 Million Armenians By raping, hanging, and doing so many terrible things to Armenians, evicting them out of their homes, making them walk in the dessert when they got tired, the Turks beat the Armenians down, Killing them, Our Lands stolen, Mount Ararat stolen from us. I cannot believe that this year I was not there and this happens. It is so crazy, stupid and ridiculous.

The Turkish protestors did not have a legal permit to protest on the day where we usually go protest in front of the Turkish Embassy for them to stop lying and admitting the truth to Armenians and the world, and they Lied to the permit givers that it was going to be a Turkish Celebration Barbecue party, which appalled me so much and I was at a loss of words of what was happening in Ottawa. They were flashing their Turkish flags, dancing, waving, singing. This is all the evidence and proof that the world needs to say enough is enough.

Some countries have recognized the Armenian Genocide including Canada, President Obama had promised us before his first term campaign that he would recognize the Armenian Genocide and that it really did happen and I think the White House and Mr. President Obama should watch this video that I am about to post that this should be proof, evidence enough to see how disgusting they are and how terrible they are for celebrating Genocide. It is about time that the rest of the world see this video to recognize what has happened.

How can people celebrate killings? How can people celebrate a Genocide that tried to wipe out a whole race and tried to finish people? How can people be so horrid and cruel? Such a shame!

98 years have gone, but the wounds are still fresh, the murders and all these terrible things that Armenians had to endure in the past have certainly put a big scar and it is felt by Armenians across the world and Armenian Supporters. Thank goodness somebody posted a video of Cowardice behavior of the Turks to show to the world on how these people are. I cannot believe how cowardly they are, and how inhumane, bullies, disgusting, disgraceful, distasteful these people can be. They are being taught lies that Turkish people did not commit the Armenian Genocide Crime, but they definitely did. Enclosed is a video of these cowards in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on April 24, 2013.

So terrible. Next year I definitely will be attending for the 99th Anniversary.

Life in a Truckers World

For many years now, trucking, transport and logistics have been an interest for me. On my journey’s from Montreal to Toronto; Toronto to Montreal, I have seen many transport trucks, companies, logistic transports and I must say, I have a tremendous amount of respect for all the truckers out there who risk their lives everyday to transport our life’s daily necessities, to make our world go around, to make all our needs available at all times. You got it, they brought it.

I have many trucker friends and many people involved in the transport world. I hear stories all the time. Once on my way to Montreal, I had stopped at a service centre and I had talked to one or two truckers who are partners of the Transport Company called Mackinnon Transport. They told me stories about how it is not an easy job, how driving big rigs/trucks are difficult at times especially in the winter months. I have been told many stories of drivers from Several Companies which I have read online and where people have told me in a personal level. People share these stories with me on Service centres across the Highway 401 east/west Even when they are strangers. I guess they want to spread it around to anyone. I have heard stories of terrible accidents and among other things.

As I drive back and forth from Montreal/Toronto, I always see them driving. I sometimes see several trucks in one area and it is important to give them enough space to drive around them, not to be around the trucks too much and just give them the distance because you never know what happens.

I know some truck drivers cannot handle certain situations on the road, or some can be terrible truck drivers, but I can understand their point because if you have been driving for over 8 hours or 10 hours a day, it does become too tiring and now there are laws out there that a trucker or a bus driver cannot drive for more than 12 hours a day. It is a policy now which I really like. Every trucker should be allowed breaks and should be allowed to relax a lot. It takes a lot out of you physically, emotionally and mentally. When you have been a truck driver for so long and when you drive for long hours, you can easily be hypnotized by the lines and turns especially at night times.

Truck drivers always sacrifice alot as well. They leave their loved ones, friends and their homes to drive all over the place to transport our needs. It takes an emotional and mental toll on them. If you do see or hear a cranky trucker, it is because they are so stressed out, and so emotionally and mentally drained that sometimes they do not know what they are saying or doing.

I myself was really interested in becoming a truck driver because I love driving so much. I was very close to getting my AZ/DZ Truckers licence, but I said it is going to take a toll on me and when I heard stories, I said maybe I shouldn’t do this job. It is not for me. I am so intrigued, so interested in these big trucks and transport trucks that each time i go, I see the companies, and I see the different types of rigs. I love Peterbilts and Volvo trucks. They are gorgeous. I especially love the straight chromed trucks with the shiny chrome and great grill.

I definitely understand what it is to be a trucker. I have worked in a transport company before in the office and It takes a lot of paperwork and a lot of work to just transport things back and forth and make on time deliveries and among other things. Some companies are so strict with time deadlines, that if a shipment is late more than half an hour, the trucker will then be forced to transport the product/products back to where it came from and that takes a lot of money and time.

So if you ever stop at a 401 service centre in Ontario, or where ever, just for curiousity sake just go up to a trucker and ask questions. I am sure they would love to talk to someone as most truckers are by themselves a lot so they always look for people to talk to and just express feelings. You will know automatically on who truckers are by the way they wear the clothes they have. Most truckers come in vests, their trucking company logo, jeans, and other types of apparel.

Trucking can be fun too, Driving is fun too, but always remember and always find it in your heart to respect, to acknowledge how important it is to know a truckers life isn’t easy at all. So use your judgement.

God Bless our truckers.
DRIVE SAFELY
BE ALERT
BE CAUTIOUS
BE COURTEOUS To truckers
RESPECT
GIVE DISTANCE
DO NOT Cut Truckers off as it dangerous
Pass Truckers safely
When going in front of a trucker, give a lot of room, wait then signal then make the lane change.

I ❤ Truckers!
