The Comfort of Disrespect and Ignorance on Social Media

In the many years of social media existence, we come across many strangers in all walks of life and different kinds of personalities and how people react to things seen. Now more than ever people are engaged into social media in some shape or form.

Not everybody agrees with certain things, and there are just some really nasty, disgusting and horrible posts with a lot of disrespect, rudeness and sheer ignorance. Some people do not think about what they post online for others to see.

Be kind and if you do not like a certain post or if there are things you do not adhere to, there is the magic of a scroll button on your computer or use your thumb to scroll down on your phone. It’s honestly ridiculous. Enough is enough with people’s criticism and rude comments. Like this world isn’t going through enough, people just add fuel to the fire.

I’m appalled at today’s society and comfort to hide behind screens to act in a horrible manner. Morals and respect is very rare. It’s getting too much! It is disgusting. People have certainly lost their way. As a social media blogger and writer, I have seen a lot in the many years I’ve been online and it’s getting worse. People just don’t care about others feelings. It’s very wrong.

People think that they are the only ones on social media and they think they can do whatever they please, but you are not alone. There are over a billion people in the world that use some sort of social media platform and all can be seen from all parts of the world. Use discretion. Everything has its limits. Just because the internet is a place that is open 24/7 365 days a year, it doesn’t mean that you are entitled to be ignorant and rude to others who you do not even know!

You know, comments and reactions that are negative in nature can do serious damage to another persons self-esteem, confidence, mental health, emotions and it can have consequences that can lead people to do physical harm to themselves and even worse. Yes, you maybe a stranger to another person, but when people actually get affected by it, its horrible. What you do online affects others too.

Ahhh if you think its not a big deal to insult others online because you don’t know them, then you are sadly mistaken.

Now, with the pandemic of COVID19 of more than a year now, a lot more people are spending more time online to pass time. It is always a good idea to reach out to people who are going through a lot. We all are going through our problems, issues, and all kinds of things and we want to get on social media to escape those troubles.

Social media is supposed to be a fun environment where people share photos, ideas, advice, videos, tips, sharing memories, a joyous place to laugh and to pass time without seeing so many negative, insulting, offensive posts by others.

Being kind to others is very important. There are ways to approach certain situations and to react in a civil, good-hearted manner. So many groups and so many posts on certain pages have so much disrespect and its just so disturbing by the amount of people that have become so cold. All of us go through things, but it doesn’t mean that you can use that as an excuse to be mean to others. To me, I have 0 tolerance with rudeness.

Just think about it. You wouldn’t want people to be disgusting and ignorant to you, would you? Can you imagine how that would make you feel? Life is too short everyone. Tomorrow is never promised. Love each other, appreciate one another. We are all human. Respect, appreciation and goodness go a long way in life. Practice good behavior on social media and in your daily life as well.

All the best and hopefully you make a wise decision about your actions. Think before you post anything. It is that simple. It will save a lot of problems and consequences in the long run. I am just looking out for everyone’s interest. Be careful, have fun and spread positive joy to others lives.

Just trust me on this. Social media needs a huge overhaul and makeover to kindness, respect and love. Spread this and just think about it and do it!

Happy 2016! Welcome to a New Year!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to a Brand New Year 2016. Cheers to everyone! I just came from a great party celebration. I saw many people that I have not seen in a while, also new faces. I became friends with a couple of people and we will definitely be keeping in touch and communicating. It definitely was great to go out this year. I had not gone out to a party for 3 years now outside the house. This year, I wanted to go out and let loose, enjoy and welcome a new year amongst many people.

I saw some of my fans and those who follow me and my blog as well as people who came up to me and said, that my face looks familiar. I guess because of my blog site and that my picture is everywhere lol. It felt great, and especially people coming and giving compliments in front of my parents. I love to write a lot and I assured them today that I will continue on with my passion in 2016 and that this year, I have fresh new articles coming your way, and I am going to strive to write every day. If not every day at least, 4-5 times a week. I am going to make it a mission to keep writing and reach for the stars day by day.

I look forward to this new adventure. Thank you to my family, friends and fans.

Understanding Social Media – Twitter

Since April, 2007, Twitter launched its social media website to the world. Twitter’s headquarters is located in San Francisco, California, where then eventually many offices were open in the United States, as well as the world. Millions of people have now created accounts since its launch. Twitter is a social media website where people share instantly without barriers of create ideas, advertising ones own business, as well as promoting events, causes, raising awareness on issues of the world, trending the news, popular words, phrases, currents events and more with 140 Characters or less.

In August of 2007, Chris Messina had incorporated the Hashtag “#” sign which is the number sign, which makes it easier and what will attract the world with certain keywords used to promote, advertise and make something popular with the hopes that it will begin to trend. For example, when you create hashtags such as #People #SocialMedia #Life #Love #Travel – and then if another person decides to write the same Hashtags, it will come up on the same page, and it will be like a chat room where people can communicate with each other, as well as if something is found to be interesting, they will add someones tweet to their favourites and re-tweet it on their page.

You will then receive notifications, that what you post on where it is and who has posted it on their pages. When people find something or someone interesting, they may or may not start following them and adding them on their list.
I know you are probably thinking, what can I write and share in 140 Characters or less? Well, there is a lot you can do in that limit. There is always something somebody is searching for and Twitter has made it easier to share it with the world. You can post photos, links, personal websites, and so much more which of course with obeying Twitters terms of service. Twitter also has a short link generator, which you can find the twitter short link generator and save space in the status message you are about to share. You can find it on a search engine site of your choice.

There are quite a few people that have told me, what is twitter? How can I understand it? why did it become so popular? Well, it is a social media website that has blossomed like wild flowers in the world. Like I said in my previous articles, people will search for anything, and when it comes on the news about a new website, and they begin to advertise so much on Media outlets, it will be a huge hit and sensation in the world. Twitter still is after 8 years.

I am so happy with Twitter. I feel that it has gotten so much easier to raise awareness about certain topics and issues of the world, and to address important subjects to our society. Thank you Twitter for giving us all an opportunity to get out there, to achieve, and to do what our hearts desire to the world. If you do not have an account with twitter, make one, it will make it so much easier to share blogs, ideas and so much more that you want to contribute to the world.

The Social Media Information Overload

In the life and times of the society we are in, We keep hearing about Social Media and the many websites and how technology has changed so much with communication and how the internet is the biggest information/communication hub of the world now and I know in the last few posts, I have written about it, however this is such a thing as Social Media Information Overload, however that should never deter you from putting yourself, your ideas, suggestions, experiences, stories and more out there. There are many people in this world who want to look for different types of information in different context and there is always some type of information out there for everyone.

I know Social media is a huge topic and starting out and beginning your journey is something that can be frustrating and so intimidating, that you just want to give up quickly and not give it a chance. When I began blogging, writing and putting myself out there in the public eye, I never thought that I would get this far. I read many blogs, and tutorials on social media and how to get myself out there and I began following those instructions, then gradually I began getting so much feedback and so much more out of it. At first, I thought this is such a waste of time, and I won’t get anywhere, but then I gave it a chance, and everything fell into place. You just need to give it the green light.

I know some people are probably thinking, how of hundreds and thousands of blogs, twitter posts and all the writings, articles of the world, how someone can get to my site, and see my posts and things that I put out there to see? Well, it is very easy with over 3 Billion people who use the internet, it is very easy for so many people out of those billions of people who want to search for something that interests them and they will go through many sites to find it and they will get onto your site. It is pretty neat to be shown on Search Engine sites, and with searching for a topic or something is easy. People will sift through many search engine pages and when they see a blog or something that interests them, they will click on your site and see the content they want, then they might share it amongst their family and friends, and then will share it on their social media sites.

Some tips to take note of and a word of advice when beginning your social media journey:

– Be Patient
– Engage, Discover, Deliver
– Read Social Media Tutorials
– Get on Social Media Marketing websites and receive e-mails on articles
– Keep writing, Posting material
– Give yourself and your social media journey a chance
– Get on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook
– When you are on twitter hashtags like this #hashtags #blogs #socialmedia is important to spread out with whatever topics you want to share in 140 Characters or less.
– Never take take take – Give as well.

When you are in social media, do not make it a competition of “Oh I am better than everyone else” approach “My material is the best” attitude. People automatically feel the way things are written online, and if people feel that someone is complimenting themselves so much and becoming a center of attention, it becomes less interesting to engage into that persons website. Never make someone feel that their material and what they write is something that is not good or don’t make people feel that what they have to say isn’t important. We are all important, and what we all have to say is something that is good to read. Never slander and insult somebody because of it. We all have something incredible and wonderful to contribute to in the world.

All in all, Social Media is a great thing to be in. It is a communication of information that can be beneficial for everyone. So take the chance and see where it takes you. Have fun and best wishes!

Madonna’s Photo Post of Her 13 yr old Son Holding Alcohol – So Wrong

On Saturday January 4th, 2014, as you may or may not have heard with this news circulating on the television and on the internet social media, It was reported that Madonna had posted a controversial photo of her Son Rocco who is 13 years old posing with a bottle of Alcohol.  Soon after that photo went viral and so many thousands of people have seen it. Madonna then said, nobody was drinking, we were just having fun. Then she quoted, calm down and get a sense of humor. Then she said, do not start the year off with Judgement.

My opinion on this is, that it is so wrong, no matter if nobody was drinking, it is still wrong to hold an alcoholic bottle, especially in an underage persons hand. What are people who sees this picture to think about it? What are people supposed to do? Sit there and stay quiet? It doesn’t matter how humorous something can be to some people, it can be serious to others. This is not something to joke about, especially when it comes to alcohol. That sends out a message to other teenagers who are underage, that they can do the same thing too, then post it online for the world to see, then having people on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other people around the world can view it, then the school, and the parents can get a hold of that picture quite easily. Yesterday, I had written about spreading rumors and being careful of what to post online. This is something else that needs to carefully be thought of before posting it.

Madonna should have known better then having to post that picture online. A mother should not allow her son/daughter act that way, even if it is just for show, and actually taking a picture. Okay if you are going to take a picture, at least do not share and post it to the world, and especially on social media. It sends out the wrong message making it okay for everybody to do the same. It is not something to joke about. Of course people will be judging and giving their opinions, just like I am right now. You cannot expect people to be encouraging this type of behavior. Remember, what gets posted online is there forever, and now that picture Madonna has posted has landed in many peoples computers, It has landed all over the internet. Where do we draw the line here? It should be illegal for even posing with alcohol and at 13? Come on! That is just sickening.

Society these days is saturated with things like this, some people do not know their limits, some people post anything and everything, whether if its true or not, whether its disturbing or not, whether its something that can be trouble or not, Its just terrible and ridiculous, and especially for a parent behaving that way is uncalled for. That is just asking for trouble. That teenager and those young children who see that, will say, Okay, let me go to my dad or mom’s liquor cabinet, and take a picture of myself and post it online. Nowadays, children and teenagers are so bright with technology, that they will know a way to post pictures, and then if that picture gets in the wrong hands, there can be serious consequences, and in the end the parents will be in trouble and that family will be in jeopardy. I think that social media is spiraling out of control and make it seem okay to post every little thing, well, its not okay. Especially when it comes to Alcohol and other things.

I do like Madonna’s music, and I have grown up with her music, but I must say this stunt, just caught me off guard. She should have known better. That is all I know and that is all I think about this.

My Montreal Love

I know this is on top of everyone’s mind. What is with me and Montreal? Why do I love the city so much? Why do I adore every aspect of it? Why I have fallen in love with a place that is dear to my heart?

 I am here to answer your questions. I have loved Montreal since I was a little girl, but in the early 2000’s those feelings escalated even more, and now I cannot get enough of it. Montreal is a place so dear to my heart, especially because of the lovely people I have there and areas around. Life really changed when I found the people who love, appreciate and care about me for me and they have a special place in my heart. Just seeing the streets, eating at the nice restaurants, the scenery, the liveliness, the energy, the busy old port, the people, the buildings, the skyline, the signs, the street signs, the autoroutes, everything keeps me speechless everytime. It is truly a remarkable place where I have fallen in love with. It is an indescribable feeling being in that city. It gives me energy all the time, and the smile on my face never leaves. It is a unique place where there is never a dull moment for me. Please do not take living in Montreal for granted. Every place has its ups and downs, but Montreal to me is place where it is truly awesome. Always things to do. If you want to know anything about the city, history, eats, places, and areas around, you know who to contact. Moi!Me. People do not realize and understand why, but now you do and so much more.

 It is extremely difficult for me to part all the time everything and it makes my throat heavy, my eyes water, and it happens everytime. I am sure a lot of people are the same way in a sense, but me I feel so different being there. I feel its my home away from home and here is why:

 The main reason are my lovely and beautiful sisters and friends and how they put a big impact on my life. It is a great feeling to finally feel great and positive and to have friends who finally accept, appreciate and love me for who I am. They keep me functional everyday of my life and who keep me going. For the first time ever i feel this way. They are like my family and they are part of my family. Always and forever. Toujours! Je Taime! It is truly a beautiful feeling.
