25 Signs that You Don’t Like Winter At All

This is for all those people who do not like winter at all, the many reasons that we can all understand with all the freezing temperatures, snowfall and well, you know the rest.

Here are 25 signs that we don’t like it at all:

1. We absolutely detest shoveling snow off our walkways and driveways

2. Cleaning the snow off the car is a problem

3. Snow, slush and salty roads lead to dirty floors, and disgusting residue that is absolutely a big task to clean and we go crazy over it — OCD and very super clean people know it especially.

4. Seeing the exterior of cars all filled with dirty slushy, saltiness – the interior, the car matts and carpet filled with disgusting winter stuff.

5. Absolutely dislike going grocery or any other type of shopping, taking bags to the car, filling up the car, taking it home, unloading in the freezing cold. Those people who walk to home too with shopping bags in their hands. Its absolutely a headache. You not only have to watch out for the bags, but you have to look on the ground to make sure you don’t slip and slide and fall all over the place.

6. Having 20 pounds of stuff on you to keep you warm. Jackets, coats, long underwear, scarfs, hats, mitts, gloves, boots, sweaters, all these uncomfortable things of winter time. Taking 10 minutes to put everything on.

7. Driving in the freezing cold when the heat in the car is on full blast.

8. having to go to a party or function dressed nicely underneath and you are freezing and sometimes you opt out of going places because you don’t want to leave your warm house.

9. Having to go to work or school in this season. Working outside in this weather and those who work in the transport industry hauling products, driving in these terrible snowy white out conditions.

10. When it gets so dark so quickly, you just want to be in bed by 7 or 8pm thinking and feeling like it is midnight already.

11. heading to the mall, other stores, restaurants, coffee shops and you walk in and the floors are like a sea of white salt and dirt from the parking lot from tires, car fumes, and well the dirt from the cement and asphalt.

12. just when you thought, you had finished shoveling or snow blowing, another 30 cm’s of snow falls the next day. You begin cursing and all the bad words start coming out. just like the line from a gangster movie (Just as I wanted to go out, they pull me back in).

13. When there is freezing rain and snow which makes it so much harder to walk and the risk of falling down on your butt is pretty high.

14. sharing the frustration and creating Hate Winter Clubs on social media is a valid thing to do and seeing that others share the same frustrations is so understandable. I created The I Hate Winter Club page on Facebook just for these points.

15. When sharing I hate winter memes and funny posts make things a little better for us who detest this season with a passion.

17. When you have to use a lot of windshield washer fluid to get rid of salt, grime, snow, and all that crap from the roads and other cars that splash all that on your windshield from driving.

18. Having to change your tires to snow tires.

19. having snow brushes and squeegees in your car.

20. When you put outdoor plans on hold for 5 to 6 months of the year.

21. When you can’t wait until March comes to welcome spring.

22. When you see others enjoying winter. saying in your mind “Are you crazy? You like this weather?” What is so good about it? Nothing can convince winter haters to start liking winter. It is not happening.

23. When you never participate in any Winter sports or activities. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

24. When flu/cold/cough season begins and you stock up on medications and tissues like no tomorrow.

25. When you see winter commercials on TV or ad’s on social media about winter, you start getting agitated.

What do you hate about winter?

What I like about winter is when it’s over.

Chores are Development of Responsibility & Life Skills

As we are born and become children, majority of our parents/grandparents/guardians have taught us about responsibility, doing chores around the house and to gain experience and knowledge on to keep clean, tidy, and organized. Also teaches kids to obey, and prioritize life to do what is important first, and then make time for fun and play after.

When children wake up in the morning, they teach them on the importance of getting up to make the bed, brush the teeth, groom themselves, wash up and shower for good hygiene, and then they teach them how to eat, and then venture off to school with the grandparents/parents/guardian or with a school bus.

During school, the teachers and other staff of the school teach kids on importance of learning about the world, how to read, write, to learn about many subjects such as sciences, music, gym, dance, language classes, mathematics, chemistry, and the most important thing to teach children to be kind to other classmates, develop group skills during group work, also leadership.

When school is over and the children are on their way home, that skill to teach them about sharing, kindness, respecting others should also be implemented at home, so as they can continue that outside of school. The children come home, and the importance to wash hands, and change out of their clothes, and to start homework if they have homework that day and teach them to do homework first before they play with toys, tablets, colour and all that.

When it is time to make dinner and set the table, it is always a good idea to get your child involved in cooking, helping set the table with plates, cutlery, and then children should start to develop skills on washing dishes, and after dinner to help clean the table with a cloth, taking the dishes to the sink, and make the parents/guardian/grandparents life easier and for the children to help them out. This also teaches them for the future when they have greater responsibility when they get older.

Nowadays, it is so difficult to teach children these life skills because of the screens, video gaming consoles and technology that has taken over. Nowadays children always want to feel that sense of entitlement to do whatever they want, whenever they want without having to listen to their parents/guardians/grandparents. They feel the need to always want to be on their screens and not develop skills that will benefit them in the future. some Kids these days are immune to technology and less hands on skills, not having manners, not respecting and being kind to others, talking back to adults and also rude gestures and mannerisms. Some children are so spoiled and tend to have an answer for everything. We should never allow it for it to get that far.

Children see everything, they are observant, they listen to everything that goes on in the house. start them early, influence them in such a way where it becomes easier to ask them to do chores. Tell them to do things in such a way where they won’t feel threatened. Give them conditions that if they do not help clean, or do simple things like washing hands or whatever, tell them that they will not have a birthday party, tell them that they will not be allowed TV Time or play time if they do not eat, or listen to do things around the house. Also, nowadays children do not have an idea of responsibility and helping out family. They need to learn that.

Nowadays, children are untouchable, and if heaven forbid, you really yell at them and give them discipline, they will use it against you and they may involve teachers and other authorities. These days, showing children how to do chores, and get them off of their bums to help around the house, and develop these important skills is a chore and a very difficult task in itself. These screens, smartphones and devices are like a magnet to them.

As adults teach their children that it is bedtime, that means washing up again, brushing teeth, undoing the bed, getting clothes and everything ready for the next school day or whatever else, making their lunches, and everything.

Then the days that children are at home, it is important to teach them how to vacuum, wipe and mop the floors, dust the furniture, clean doorknobs, clean the kitchen counters and the table, take out the garbage, help wash the car and everything. Of course it is important to give them time to play, and do fun stuff as well. I am not saying that they should always be doing chores and everything, but they need to learn balance, time management and everything. There is a limit and time for it all.

It is the time now, and to be strict with children. strict in such a way that will not intimidate them, but to put them on track. Set rules, guidelines, time limits to screen time, and monitor what they look at and supervise them to make sure they are making good decisions while on the computer and so much more. That is the important thing.

When you see they are trying and everything and doing great work at school, and at home, give them gifts, or surprise them to a movie, take them out to an amusement park, take them to play in the park, when they obey and do good, give them an allowance of whatever amount you wish, teach them the value of a dollar when they do get allowances and teach them about spending accordingly.

One day when I have children of my own, all these things will be taught to them and I will not allow them to do whatever they want all the time. Not going to happen. they need to be taught lessons of life and develop skills.

If you have children and/or take care of them such as being a guardian, babysitter, or grandparents. What skills and what things do you teach them?

Spring Forward – Excited about More Daylight

After a long, depressing, freezing cold winter, I am excited, anticipating, anxious and thrilled about more daylight. I Can’t wait to hear the birds to start coming out and chirp, when the sun comes out early in the morning and sets after 9pm, the beautiful flowers start blooming, the trees become green once again, the warmth in the air, the beautiful colours of spring and summer. With Spring just around the corner, I feel so good with that transition from a long harsh winter. I love to wear lighter colour clothing, and just enjoying the beauty of this season and more. Just to enjoy life, stopping to smell the roses, and just enjoy the beauty of a vibrant season.

I want to take up walking and go to the malls a lot more, visiting friends and family a lot more, being outdoors all day, finding activities to do, probably go camping and enjoying nature.

I have many plans for the spring and summer months. I have already ironed out some of the places I want to go as well as of course hanging out with my family, friends and just going out and getting fresh air that we really do need. We are so cooped up indoors from all the freezing weather, and snow we endured since Beginning of November and now that we are approaching half way into March, I am excited to be opening up windows, and breathing outdoor air. It feels incredible. I do not plan to stay home and try to go out and do a lot of things.

I absolutely love giving water to the flowers, washing the cars from all the snow, salt and winter debris that is left on it, as well as washing down all the salt left on the car mats and so much more. I am jumping for joy. I have never liked winter and I never will. That is how excited I am.

What do you like about transitioning to spring and warmer temperatures? Have you planned your days yet? What do you enjoy most about it all?

Bring on the daylight savings time and lets spring forward shall we?

***Remember to turn your clocks forward 1 hour March 8, 2015 at 2am in the morning, so before you go to sleep to change the clocks***

Have a wonderful season and best wishes.

People Need To Stop Being So Hard On Themselves and Move Forward

Hey All, I know it is easier said than done when it comes to people being hard on themselves because of a situation that person has been into and along with the emotional and mental chaos that has come with it. I know that we all in this world have our own problems and things that happen in life that we do not like or something went wrong in life and sometimes things do not go as planned, but people need to stop being so hard on themselves. It is so easy to put ones self down, but people need to learn that, things happen and sometimes we cannot control it, but that doesn’t mean that someone has to be so hard on themselves and to stop saying there is no hope, it is never going to happen, good things will never happen to me, I won’t get into a relationship, and then give up and say crazy things. You are only setting yourself up for more disappointment, and you are only hurting yourself when you think negatively and hurt yourself with the words you use among yourself. Don’t do that to yourself. I know sometimes it is easy to talk about it, but where is the action? Take action, do happy things for you, make happy decisions of course with thinking, and do things that will benefit you in the long run.

If you keep on doing this to yourself and if you do not move forward, there can be consequences and you do not want to go through them. What is wrong with who you are? Nothing. Everyone is special in their own ways, but people will never know that because that particular person in your life is always being hard on themselves, and crying, and saying depressive things all the time. Time to snap out of it and time to move forward in life. The past is the past and people should stop being pessimists and start on happy adventures in life. Where do we draw the line? I know sometimes it is hard and there have been terrible times in ones life that can never be the same again, but you can make it the same again with good thoughts about yourself and putting yourself up with people and never telling people you’re not good enough, and that you’re not up to par with anything and that you will never find someone. You will and you will succeed in life, you will do the goodness in your life. You just need to boost yourself with self-confidence, self-esteem and the willingness to move on.

You can’t move on if your always ashamed, if your always in your own world and your own bubble stressing about things that are not even worth your time anymore. You have come this far for a reason and that reason is that life continues, and life goes on. You can’t bring the past back and you can’t turn back time, so might as well as make your time worth while right? Making your life better, happier and doing positive things in life will be the best gift you can ever give yourself. It may take some time, but nothing ever happens overnight. In order to work for your happiness and good things in life, is your willingness to try, give it your best, and you will see the difference in change. Change is good, and life is good, you just haven’t discovered it yet, but you will. You can’t make a colourful happy rainbow without a little rain, and you can’t have sunshine without darkness. Dark times teach us lessons in life and that will turn into sunlight only if you try to do your best to move forward. Move it and move on. Nobody is perfect and nothing is ever a guarantee, which is why you live your life now, and make the best of it because nothing is permanent. We all have to stand up on our own feet and we must strive to be happy always and keep smiling. The world is a better place with you in it and the world is a better place with smiles.

Loving yourself is the best thing you can do, and when you love yourself, everything is possible. Love yourself, Smile, and stop with whatever you are doing to make your life a dark rain storm. After a rainstorm there is sun and life again. Be in the sun and shine bright. Have a positive attitude and go with the flow. All the best!

Back On WordPress After Couple of Days

Hi Everyone, Its been a crazy few days and I wasn’t able to write on my blog. Haven’t had time to get on the computer. Today is my day to catch up on my e-mails, write on my blog and do so much that I have missed in the last little while from family and friends from abroad and so much more, but I am back. Its been an emotional roller coaster for me. It was a good little break from technology, but today I decided to come back and enjoy what I love doing the most is to blog and to interact with others on social media websites, along with WordPress and so much more. I haven’t had the energy lately, but this morning I woke up feeling fresh and better. I have been a little under the weather too. I have a cold which I haven’t had one in almost 3 years. It came back with a vengeance on me. So I am going to keep this short and sweet today. All the best to everyone.

Spring Is Almost Here! Excited For That. Are You?

After the many months of winter, this is the moment I always wait for, I really like this time of year when it becomes Mid March, I really enjoy it when our weather gets warmer, and when the winter is behind us in a way and almost time when the trees start growing its leaves again, when the grass gets greener, the roads are washing away from the salt and snow, when everywhere gets thawed out, mild temperatures start and increase by day, when the flowers start to grow again, colour and life comes back after the cold, dark, wintry days, the tulip and other spring  flowers blooming, the spring air and smell of mud, dandelions start to grow, the smell of top soil, garden centers open, outdoor furniture, barbecues, outdoor equipment starts coming back into the stores, spring colours, clothing and bright vibrant colours come back on our store shelves,  the sunlight shines, birds start chirping, animals come out of hibernation, the geese fly back north. I just love this time of year when life comes back. I am so tired of winter, snow and having to bundle up every time I go out. I’d love to go somewhere for 5-6 months of the year and not see snow and be part of the cold freezing weather and not wear layers outside.

I also like spring because it gives me a time to wash the cars and I love washing my car, washing the car mats, detailing and getting rid of the winters salt and sand they put on the streets, and taking care of it. I also like to wash out my driveway and clean up my garage, having to put the shovels away, and just enjoying the whole process of getting rid of winter. It is my favourite.  I am a person who loves vibrant colours, who loves warmer weather, the beautiful sun shining, and among when the days get longer. I really didn’t enjoy when the days get shorter and it would be dark before 5pm. I really enjoy it when time and daylight time increases. In June and July it is still sunlight after  8:30 and you would still see a bit of light after 9pm too. those are the days I love, plus you don’t feel that the night is dragging on so long and plus it gets brighter earlier in the morning and its so refreshing and you start your day earlier and you appreciate the daylight and days. I also like getting rid of the boots and jackets I wear and pack them up for 5-6 months of the year.

I really enjoy sitting on the patio, I like driving with my windows down, listening to vibrant music, going camping, and I enjoy leisure time away too.

What season do you like? Do you also enjoy spring and summer months? What do you mostly enjoy when the weather starts getting warmer? What activities do you like doing outdoors? Would love to hear form you. Happy Spring!

Annual ACYOC Camping Trip at Rideau Acres, In Kingston Ontario 2007

throwback of 2007

My articles I wrote of the past.

Friday morning, August 10th, 2007, 68 ACYOC youth from Montreal, Laval, Ottawa, Mississauga and Toronto embarked on a wonderful journey to Rideau Acres Campgrounds in Kingston.  The youth gathered for a weekend full of fun, togetherness, making new friends, and reuniting with old friends.  As the campers arrived and put their tents up, we created a little Armenian Village.  The barbecue started with hamburgers and hot dogs and at night we gathered around the fire for fellowship and just having a great time until wee hours of the morning.

On Saturday morning, August 11th, additional people arrived from various areas of Ontario and Quebec.  All the campers went swimming in the campsite pool, where we spent majority of the day.  We enjoyed playing ball, diving into the water with different moves, playing different water games,  getting some sun, and just relaxing by the pool and having a good time  cooling off from the hot sun.  As the nightfall neared, our wonderful Toronto ACYOC crew prepared shish kebabs and salad for dinner.  The fellowship that we started on Friday night continued, as we roasted marshmallows, told stories and riddles, and had fun.

On Sunday Morning August 12th, everyone packed up tents and belongings and prepared to return home.  It was a very short weekend that passed quickly, but we will never let go of the bonds we created and old friendships that we strengthened.  Thank you to the Toronto ACYOC for working extremely hard for a successful weekend. Without all the helping hands, this camping trip would not have been possible.

Thank you to all 68 Participants for participating, and we hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did.  God bless everyone and hope to see you next year.

Here is to ACYOC Camping Trip 2008!

You Know The Feeling Of What Is Meant To Be & What Isn’t Meant To Be?

Have you ever had the feeling of something that isn’t right to do and go at split moment and sometimes you have this feeling that it is meant to be? Have you been in a situation where you had the feeling where something is meant to be or not meant to be? Last night was a prime example of all this. A few friends and I were gone out and we decided to go to this place a little bit out of our ways and it would take a little more time to get there, then the usual spots we go to for hanging out and have a great time, and then all the carpooling and who is picking up who and how all this is going to be arranging a meet up, didn’t go as smooth as we thought, but then afterwards we all met up at the same place, and decided to go somewhere else. I was thinking in my mind that something prevented us from going and plus the weather was bad with the snow and freezing conditions which made us think twice about going there. I think God protected us from harms way and he made us stay put and be more local. Toronto is such a huge city and it does take a while to get to places, but then again were all thankful that we were all together in one spot in the end and thank goodness for cell phones and communication and critical thinking about what to do at a certain moment. Plus Parking was the other issue in the areas that we were supposed to go to which is a hassle sometimes. That’s why I don’t go to places, that don’t have decent parking. I like to think logically and think about where I go before I go to it and I do extensive research about the parking issue and where it is when I haven’t gone there before. I like to research a lot before I go, so as I am prepared. In the end everything worked out for the better, all of us were safe and sound and everybody went home safely. The place we were going to go to was just not meant to be and I believe that we were saved in a huge way. Something bad could have happened on the road as it was our first real taste of winter and what’s to come, so it really was something out of the ordinary. I truly believe in what is meant to be and what isn’t and last night really sealed the deal. It was quite an adventure, but ended up to be a peaceful, yet beautiful night spent with our loved ones(friends), and woke up this morning feeling great. I truly believe no matter where you go, and no matter what happens, sticking together, and figuring out a game plan and figuring out what to do is something very nice, and deciding as a group and giving ideas is very nice. I love my friends a lot and they mean the world to me. It was a lovely night and I will never forget the experience last night. It was something that really made us think in the end, and I told the group, God is here, God is protecting us. Wish you all the best everyone.

Exercise Caution & Be Safe With Upcoming Winter Conditions

It is that time of year again, when the winter weather is upon us and with snow, ice and cold conditions and impaired visibility with all that stuff. Who knows it maybe like the Winter we had last year in Southern Ontario, and other places, but Please exercise caution with the weather because you may trust yourself driving, but it is other peoples actions on the road that can ruin it. Give yourself distance and plenty of commute time in between. I really do not like driving in the winter as much. If I do not have to go anywhere really important, I do not leave the house. Unless its work and school and other important things, then thats okay, but its important that We exercise caution no matter what time of year it is. I wish everyone safe driving and be careful

I Have Missed A Few Days Of Blogging

Hello All, I apologize, that I missed a few days of blogging, but I am back and fully ready to resume to my daily blogging task. I have missed you all and I miss interacting with the world. So much has happened, but I am back to the swing of things. I just want to say that, we all have times where we experience times where we cannot perform tasks due to some personal reasons, but then again when the time is right, we shine back up again and get back up on our feet again. I just want to say never give up and never stop doing what you love doing and go for it. Sometimes we may have breakthroughs and that is normal. We all go through times in our lives where a few days of rest is needed to cleanse the mind, body and soul and back to civilization once again and reality sets in. It was the case for me. I feel bothered because I missed 3 days of blogging, but now, that is behind me and I look forward to spending more days with you and writing more and more everyday from this day forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Will be blogging again tomorrow and the next day and everyday…

What A Great Night – I Love Summer Nights

Last night with a few great friends I have known for years, we went and had a nice relaxing time by the waterfront of Lake Ontario, and we decided to have a little bonfire and just chill out and look at the clear sky with so many stars. It was so beautiful. We always do this once a month during the summer time. We try to spend as much we can outdoors. After about 2-3 hours that past, there were these awesome people who came by and said hello and asked if they can join us around our fire pit. We said yes sure, so we met new people and they seemed like pretty nice people. Especially the one who initiated and asked. So they were kind enough to bring us some more firewood as we had run out of it, which we said thank you and they stood with us for a good a hour or so, and then they said thanks for sharing the fire with us, then they left and we were still there. We left around 1:30 almost 2am. It was a lovely night I won’t forget. A night full of laughter, stories and many more. I wish it can stay summer forever here, but unfortunately not. I love not having to worry about jackets and long clothes. lol

I love summer nights. Its so relaxing and not cold at all, and just taking in the summer air is so fabulous. We were a bit out of the city and the air was clean and so peaceful without lights and all that action. There were not too many people at the park and at the waterfront and it was great without all that commotion from other places. It is nice to get away from the grind of life and just go relax without nothing to think about. I remember when we first went together as a group, it was something that we said, hey lets do this again, and we chose a place where it is nice and peaceful, but everyone once in a while there would be the go train passing by or the VIA Rail, and other trains, but it is cool to see them. They go ever so fast. It is nice to see that too. So it was almost time to leave, so we put out the fire with Lake Ontario water, and then we were packing up to go, and while walking to our cars, we felt ever so relaxed and we hung out some more by the cars. We can never get enough of each other and we always try to stick together and be together no matter what we do. Every Friday nights we hang out, go out to different restaurants, and just have an awesome time together. I have such a nice group of friends and it has been years that we have been doing this. Maybe over 5 years that is for sure.

Gotta love the outdoors and how a bonfire brings people together. Even total strangers who came by and hung out with us. That was something really neat and I won’t ever forget that. They were nice young people. They were in their late teens to early 20’s. They seemed like calm and lovely people, so we invited them over. They really appreciated that and they thanked us and they shared with us too. All the best to them. It is nice to be inviting and accepting of others. It is a beautiful thing. Being kind and being inviting is great, because I believe in Karma and I believe that what goes around comes around, so be kind to others and good things will come to you like the extra fire wood they gave us which lasted us for the remainder of the night. Without that, we wouldn’t have had anymore. So the moral of the story is, be kind and share. Even to total strangers, and they will appreciate it. I experienced a new kind of humanity last night. That was something I will never forget.

I Finally Went On Maid Of The Mist In Niagara Falls, Ontario – July, 14, 2012

On July 14, 2012, I embarked on my 4th trip to Niagara falls within 3 months and it was an experience I will never forget. This time went with great friends whom I have known for years from my Armenian Community center. I never would have expected that I would go on Maid Of The Mist. I have always come to Niagara, but I have never went on it. So this time I put my foot down and did it. I am so glad I did. People often take photos and look at the falls from above, but once you go on that boat with your blue poncho, and start heading toward the American and Horseshoe falls, you automatically feel the sense of amazement and it is so beautiful.  More beautiful than looking at it from above. I saw a rainbow on the American falls, and once we were getting toward the big one, the mist started to come onto all of us, and it was refreshing and at the same time the view, and the experience was unlike any other. I will never forget this experience for the rest of my life. I want to go on this again next time I go. It was an experience of a lifetime.

If you have not tried Maid of The Mist yet and if you have not yet visited Niagara Falls, you must do it. Everything is great in Niagara, but this one takes the cake out of everything else. God has created a beautiful earth and with amazing landmarks and everything else. God bless Niagara Falls… I was thinking to myself how Wallenda did it, with all that mist hitting up top and I was thinking to myself how the rope was put on and how everything took place. Wow, and the energy, the power of the water when it falls and all the white water going around like crazy, it was amazing. TOTALLY AMAZING. Do it!

Back Into The Game Farmville on Facebook

Back when Farmville on facebook started, I decided I join the game, so I started to play the game, and I said wow, This is awesome how you can plant trees, plant crops and all sorts of things. It actually makes you think like a real farmer and it teaches you about life and how much you want to spend on your crops, and harvesting them. It is pretty cool to me, but then I gave it up for a year and a half, but now I am back into it. I find it is a pretty cool past time when I am not doing anything. So many of my family and friends are on farmville, and it is so cool to fertilize each others plants, and get cool gifts, and get rare trees, animals, and you get money from them, like for example from a chicken it says collect eggs. Farmville is a game where it does not harm any animals, like slaughtering or anything. Its good clean and fun game. I love getting experience points and going up to the next level. I try and find things that have the most experience points and among other things.

Zynga has pretty cool games I admit. At first I wasn’t keen on playing a few, but Farmville is one of the games I play. Only when time permitting of course. If you want to get into the game, try it out, but if you do not like it, its all good. we all have our differences right? 🙂 Have fun!

Happy Farmvilling!

July Will Be A Month Full Of Travels

Well, hello July! We meet again. Another month has come by of 2012. I plan to make the most of it. This Month I will be doing a lot traveling by car to Several places, such as Niagara Falls again twice, then I will be heading to Montreal. This year of 2012, has been a travel year for me. I cannot wait to go to California and Las Vegas this year as well. Nothing great like traveling. I am so exciting to be going and seeing my friends In Montreal. They have not seen me in a while and I can’t wait to drive down to see them. They keep saying, Talin when are you coming to your happy place again? When are we going to see each other again? I said end of July for sure. I love road trips, that do not exceed more than 8-10 hours. I have a lot of things to do this month as well. I have so many plans to do new things as well, and enjoy summer as much as I can outdoors while the weather co-operates and is great. There is a possibility I may head to Wasaga Beach in Ontario, Canada someday soon. Maybe during the week.

It is also Canada’s Birthday today, so Happy Canada day! Remember also that today is the soccer match between Italy and Spain. Who do you think is going to win? I am cheering for Italy. VIVA ITALIA! Where will you be watching? I plan to have a nice restful time at home and watch it or at a relatives house. Lets see how this day progresses. Have fun! Have a safe and happy summer!

Going To Amusement Parks When I Was In My Childhood

There have been many times when I have been to amusement parks in Toronto when I was a child and as well as Disney World in Florida. Every single time I would hear where going to Canada’s Wonderland, Canadian National Exhibition, Ontario Place, Wild Water Kingdom, African Lion Safari. All the places, I would be the first one to be ready. I myself loved thrill rides. I used to go on everything after I turned a certain height. We stopped going when I was 14 years old. I grew out of going to Amusement parks, but they were a lot of fun. I think I will go this summer to Wonderland to try the rides behemoth and leviathan roller coasters. I remember in 1998, we went to Disney World in Florida. We made a road trip to Florida and we decided to travel to Orlando from Daytona Beach. It was a fabulous time. I remember those days and miss those days so much. Hopefully someday when I have children, I will be able to take them to amusement parks and have them have the same fun I had. I will never forget my experiences. At Wonderland, I met many Soap Opera Stars back in the day and as well as NHL Hockey players. It was so fun. I actually went backstage to some of them as I had a VIP Pass to most of the shows. Now, I just see the ads on TV. I haven’t gone to an amusement park since 2000. Since I started to go to high school. 1999 Was my last summer for this stuff, but I wouldn’t mind going back into it this summer. It would be super fun.

What amusement parks have you gone to? What was your favourite?

Have a wonderful Summer!
