Is 2015 Really Almost Over? Can’t Believe it.

Yesterday, when I woke up, It was a brand new month in 2015. I can’t believe October is here already. To me, when October comes it means that the year is almost over. 3 Months to go until 2016. Where did this year go? It was an absolute busy year for me and so much more until December 31st. I already see Christmas merchandise in the stores, Halloween, Thanksgiving things. The only thing about these months until April is that it is the Fall, its cold, freezing and Winter that I absolutely despise.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas?

I am excited to go on my 13th trip to Cuba soon. I absolutely love Cuba a lot. I go all over the place. I don’t just go to one destination.

Was 2015 good to you? Mine was, and I ended up doing quite a bit of traveling to Los Angeles, California, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, and among many other places, but there were some unfortunate things that did happen in my year, but everything turned out well in the end. Well, lets see what the next 3 months of 2015 has in store for me.

The 100th Armenian Genocide Commemoration – 2015

The 100th Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide is just 6 and a half Months away. Annually on April 24, we gather together in Canada’s Capital Ottawa in the Province of Ontario and we commemorate the Armenian Genocide. The Turkish Ottoman empire and Government is responsible for murdering and massacre of 1.5 Million Armenian’s in 1915 as well as stealing our precious and beautiful land as well as Mount Ararat which will always be Armenia’s.

The Turkish Government to this very day still denies that they ever did commit a Genocide, which is why we need to spread the word as much as possible. 2015 will be the 100th Commemoration. Where ever you are and will be, however you will commemorate, it is important to come together with other Armenian’s and venture out in the public eye, and in public places to voice ourselves and make this a global recognition. Our efforts need to be taken out of our Armenian communities and churches and solely head to Embassies, Consulates, organize public marches in the metropolitan areas of your city where it is densely populated with visible signs, banners, and our Armenia Flag.

Canada Has recognized the Armenian Genocide and we thank Canada so much as other Countries as well who have recognized. It is only a matter of time until the world comes together to raise awareness and recognition, on not only the Armenian genocide, but all other genocides and terrible acts of humanity throughout the world.
We need to spread the word out to everyone. In Canada, we will be heading to Ottawa, Canada in front of the Canadian Parliament, followed by a march to the Turkish Embassy. April 24, 2015. Usually we begin at 12 noon until everyone arrives in Ottawa from buses from Ontario and Quebec from Cambridge, Toronto, Montreal, Laval, and abroad. For up to date information, bus departure times and other questions, please see your Local Canadian Armenian Community Centre Organization to obtain more information.
Also the information will be posted here as well once we get more news soon. In the meantime it is important to spread awareness as much as possible. Social Media is a huge way to raise awareness. Getting Back to My Roots – The Armenian Community

After a long hiatus, I am heading back into the doors of my local Armenian community centres and churches. Time to return back and do more things and be active in the community. I have been so out of the loop lately. After going through many things of life in the last little while, I decided that it is time and its now. I need a new perspective on life and what matters to me the most. One of them is giving a helping hand and being there for my Armenian community. 2 more hands make a big difference and its something that makes me feel incredible. In the past I have accomplished, achieved and been through a lot with meeting so many people, then being globally well known in the Armenian Community is something so incredibly amazing and awesome. The ultimate was visiting my Motherland Armenia in 1999.

I have done so much for my Armenian community in the past and here are many to list…

– I have been in the committee for Jr. ACYOC
– I have been in the committee for Sr. ACYOC (Armenian Church youth Organization of Canada) for over 11 years.

– Assisted in St Sahag, St Mesrob Armenian Saturday School for 4 years. I have also attended from 1989-1999 which I graduated grade 8…
– Assisted in the Armenian Sunday School for 2 years.

– I have been in Nor Serount (New Youth) New Generation) Newsletter publication for 2 years

– Assisted with Communications/Social Media advertising for Holy Trinity Armenian Church Toronto for 2 and a half years

– Assisted with the Armenian Genocide commemoration in Ottawa for 3 years.

– for Bible Study sending out e-mails and being the communications director working with the priest and committee of Bible Study…

– Organized Armenian Camping trips of which one year I was the head of the team and brought over 70 people from Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and other places to a Camping trip in Kingston, Ontario…

– Was part of Sassoun Dance Ensemble for a year.

– Went on a pilgrimage to Montreal in 2007 with the Armenian Church

– Participated in Many ACYOC Armenian Youth Sports weekends from 2003-2011

– Visited a Nursing home with Armenian Bible Study to spend time with the elderly.

– Assisted in Wrapping Presents for children with Armenian Bible Study at Childrens Aid Society

– Went to Vancouver BC for a sports weekend, then went to several meetings in Kingston, Montreal, and Ottawa…

99th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide to Take Place in Ottawa, Canada – April 24th, 2014

The 99th Anniversary on the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide is quickly approaching next month on April 24th, 2014. To Canadian-Armenian community and more, Lets make our attendance in Ottawa, Ontario Canada in front of the Parliament Hill, The March to The Turkish Embassy a successful one with thousands of people, Lets crowd and fill the park by the Turkish Embassy, lets make the march there a huge one. Lets stand tall, voice ourselves even louder.

We need to get out there in the public eye and raise awareness about the Armenian Genocide. Not just getting together in Armenian Community Centres to commemorate, but must take a stand outside Like of course Ottawa, Queens Park, and in front of the Media eyes, gain as much Television, Social Media Awareness, get these news casters to the scene, get us on Television, and make us well known. That is how we are going to let people know what happened. We have many Armenians in Media. Lets get this Rolling…. I have never seen our Ottawa commemorations air on our TV’s and Broadcasting Corporation Channels. Something must be done about that.

The Turkish Ottoman Empire Killed 1.5 Million Armenians, and tried to wipe us all off from the Earth on April 24, 1915, but could not succeed. They also stole our lands and our Mountain Ararat – Also Known as Mount Ararat.

Please make prior arrangements from now to attend the commemoration. It is important and something we all should participate in and do our best. Lets help each other and join each others hands and lets go to OTTAWA, CANADA. Canada’s Capital….

The Armenian Genocide – 98 Years Later – Proof & Evidence of Cowardice Behavior By The Turks

For the past 17 years in a row, I have attended the Armenian Genocide Commemoration Protests in Canada’s Capital Ottawa, but this year I could not attend due to personal reasons that I missed out this year, however throughout the day I had friends update me on what is happening in Ottawa for the April 24, 1915 Armenian Genocide Commemoration March from Parliament Hill then Marching to the Turkish Embassy to keep me in the loop.

Little did I know that in the history of My Attendance in Ottawa for the Armenian Genocide March went into a total new twist and for the first time ever Turkish people that showed up at their Embassy celebrating the Armenian Genocide by killing 1.5 Million Armenians By raping, hanging, and doing so many terrible things to Armenians, evicting them out of their homes, making them walk in the dessert when they got tired, the Turks beat the Armenians down, Killing them, Our Lands stolen, Mount Ararat stolen from us. I cannot believe that this year I was not there and this happens. It is so crazy, stupid and ridiculous.

The Turkish protestors did not have a legal permit to protest on the day where we usually go protest in front of the Turkish Embassy for them to stop lying and admitting the truth to Armenians and the world, and they Lied to the permit givers that it was going to be a Turkish Celebration Barbecue party, which appalled me so much and I was at a loss of words of what was happening in Ottawa. They were flashing their Turkish flags, dancing, waving, singing. This is all the evidence and proof that the world needs to say enough is enough.

Some countries have recognized the Armenian Genocide including Canada, President Obama had promised us before his first term campaign that he would recognize the Armenian Genocide and that it really did happen and I think the White House and Mr. President Obama should watch this video that I am about to post that this should be proof, evidence enough to see how disgusting they are and how terrible they are for celebrating Genocide. It is about time that the rest of the world see this video to recognize what has happened.

How can people celebrate killings? How can people celebrate a Genocide that tried to wipe out a whole race and tried to finish people? How can people be so horrid and cruel? Such a shame!

98 years have gone, but the wounds are still fresh, the murders and all these terrible things that Armenians had to endure in the past have certainly put a big scar and it is felt by Armenians across the world and Armenian Supporters. Thank goodness somebody posted a video of Cowardice behavior of the Turks to show to the world on how these people are. I cannot believe how cowardly they are, and how inhumane, bullies, disgusting, disgraceful, distasteful these people can be. They are being taught lies that Turkish people did not commit the Armenian Genocide Crime, but they definitely did. Enclosed is a video of these cowards in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on April 24, 2013.

Summary Of The Armenian Genocide Demonstration In Ottawa, Canada – April 24, 2012

In the early morning of April 24, 2012, I embarked on a journey to Ottawa, Ontario Canada to mark the 97th Anniversary commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. Annually we take trips to Ottawa to stand in front of the Ottawa Parliament Hill, then followed my a procession march to the Turkish Embassy. This morning we arrived to the Parliament at 11am just about an hour before things kicked off at the Parliament hill. In the beginning we were asked to have a moment of silence for the 1.5 Million Armenians murdered by the Turkish Ottoman Empire. Many speakers and politicians were present such as Hn. Jason Kenney, Hn. Bob Rae, Hn. Stephane Dion and more. I had met Hn. Stephane Dion on so many occasions in Montreal as well as now in Ottawa. I shook Hn. Bob Rae’s Hand while he was stepping down after his speech. Then they had to hurry into the Parliament as there is a house of commons meeting that was being held. Followed by a prayer said by Bishop Khajag Hagopian from the Montreal’s Head Church Diocese of Sourp/Saint Hagop Armenian Church.

Many People came out to the Armenian Genocide commemoration despite of the unlucky unsettled weather we had all day from rain/snow mix, to ice pellets, to a little bit of sun, and back to rain with cold, freezing winds. Despite all of that we had a pretty reasonable turnout, but I was hoping for more. I would make an exception if people had work and school that they could not take the time off, but those who would refuse to come out due to weather conditions, is something I just cannot handle. 1.5 Million Armenians were killed and went through every terrible ordeal as possible with blood, violence, and suffering, plus walking in the desert being supervised by the Turkish Ottoman empire and when those people fell and were tired they would kick them down more and yell at them to get up and keep going for many weeks. It is very important to attend this commemoration every year and travel from parts of Ontario and Quebec and other places to get together for an important issue in our Armenian history and to teach the new generation and youth young adults that they will be the leaders of our country Armenia and will run so many things. It was quite a peaceful demonstration as it is always every year. The voices of the dead will never be silenced. We want justice and we want the truth now.

In Ottawa, we get together at the Parliament Hill in between the West and East Blocks right in front of the Parliament building. This year we will be meeting at 12 noon and the procession will begin with speeches from dignitaries, politicians, Armenians, Fellow guests, Parish priests, and more. Then after the speeches and thanking Canada for Recognizing the Armenian Genocide, we gather up with our Genocide Prevention signs, Armenian, Canadian, Quebec, Province Flags, Banners and everything then we start to march down to the Turkish Embassy not so far away and we protest and raise our voices to the passerby’s on the street and we say, No More Genocide, Eastern Turkey is Western Armenia, Denial Is A Crime, Admit Your Crimes Turkey, all the way until we reach the Turkish Embassy. Now there is a Park right in front of the Turkish Embassy and thousands of Armenians and Armenian supporters are there to protest and to talk to the Ambassador of Turkey to recognize their crimes, and to admit what they have done to us. It will be my 17 year in a row attending and I have never missed a commemoration of all those years. I started going when I was 10 years old and it never stops there. Its very important to me that I am there with my fellow Armenians and to raise my voice and voice my opinions on Genocide.

Well, Hello April! Nice seeing you Again! – What a Month It Will Be…

Well, Hello April! I cannot believe how time is flying by so quickly. This month will be a jam packed one for me as Easter  Celebrations are just around the corner, as I will be super busy going to church and being with family and friends. I am looking forward to a couple of trips I will take this month. I also will be traveling to Ottawa, Canada, Canada’s Capital and every year on April 24th, We embark on a journey from Parts of Ontario and Quebec and other places and we commemorate the Armenian Genocide at the Parliament Hill at noon then we head to the Turkish Embassy to commemorate the Armenian Genocide of what the Turkish Ottoman Empire committed those crimes against humanity and killed 1.5 Million Armenians. This month will be a bittersweet month with the good and the bad, but this month will be my birthday but not until the end of this Month on the 30th. I have so much to do this month, but not enough hours in the day to do it all in. Well, today is Palm Sunday and its a time where I will go to church to be with my family, seeing friends and people I haven’t seen in a while. I need to make an effort to attend church a lot more often. I do attend bible studies every Thursday nights, but that is not enough. I am going to make the extra effort to attend church on Sundays and that will start again this month. I used to go all the time, but it will start again. I want to bond with God again and I want to go into God’s house more. Today is also April Fools day. When I was in school, I remember we used to do so many things to fool and trick people, but now for several years, I just don’t do it anymore. I should, its fun lol but since its Palm Sunday, I don’t feel it is appropriate. I believe for me going to church is far more important than tricking somebody or some people. Well, here is to April! Life as a Canadian born Armenian…

When I was very young, My Parents, Grandparents, Armenian Priests, and Armenian Teachers, always taught me the importance of keeping my heritage and culture alive. I started by going to Armenian Saturday School to learn the alphabet, reading, writing, history, culture, heritage, then following Armenian Sunday School which taught me about the Armenian Church, history, and christianity. Soon after I graduated both schools, I officially went to the Motherland Armenia to see the real deal. All the beautiful and important things I learned came before my eyes. I could not believe, that I was standing on Armenia’s ground and soil. I had tears roll down my eyes feeling ever so happy, yet emotional at the same time.

After returning from my Motherland Armenia, I automatically started to come out to Armenian events, listening to Armenian music, joining committees such as ACYOC (Armenian Church Youth Organization of Canada), as well as Armenian Bible Fellowships, joining events with ACYOA (Armenian Church Youth Organization of America) in the United States of America, Joining in Armenian conventions, conferences, Going to Ottawa, Canada every year for the commemoration of the April 24, 1915 Armenian Genocide and to march with my fellow Armenians, Joining in Armenian message boards, and websites on the internet, continuing to further my experience and my life as an Armenian, being a teachers assistant at St Sahag St Mesrob Armenian Saturday School where I spent 10 years as a student, and now as I look at the students now, I always remember my times as I look at them. I get emotional at times when I hear the Music, the School and our National Anthem. I will be continuing my journey to even doing more.

I have made many friends from all over Canada, such as Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, St Catherines, Laval, as well as USA, West and East coasts, meeting people from out of North America and I love each and everyone of you and I hope that our bonds and our friendships never fade away. You all carry an important part of my heart and soul.

It is my priority in my life to be Armenian, to assist Armenians not only in Canada, but all over the aworld, to instill in others that nothing is more beautiful and precious than being Armenian. It is a gift from God and I will use that gift to its fullest. Many people these days take being Armenian for granted, and I will do the best of my ability to strengthen, to guide those people to the right path and teach them the way. It is so important to strengthen our bonds. We are very few in this world and we must stick together, grow together, love each other. Being in Canada or wherever you are from, we must find a way to stick together.

If it wasn’t for my parents, brother, grandmothers, My grandfather the late Habib Torossian, My teachers, My grade 8 teacher Baron Antranig Chilinguirian, Bishop Hovnan Derderian, Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Bishop Khajag Barsamian, Bishop Ararat Kaltakjian, Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Fr Myron Sarkissian, Fr Gomidas Mirzakhanian, Fr Vasken Boyadjian, Fr Keghart Garabedian, Rev Hayrik Hovanisyan, and all the priests and Armenian people I have met along the way, I wouldn’t be where I am today and I love you all deeply and I thank you all very much for everything you all have taught me along the way.

So, Thank you for everything. I will use the knowledge and information that you all embedded into my heart, mind, and soul and preach and teach that to everyone. God Bless Armenia, God Bless Armenians, God Bless everyone
