Introducing You to Boston, Massachusetts – My New Happy Place

On July 21st, 2013 I remember it being a sunny day and out of the blue decided to book a trip and I said to myself, I must go and I have to go, so Last Month on August 22nd, 2013, I embarked on a solo mini getaway trip to Boston, Massachusetts which has been on my bucket list for quite sometime. When I was on the plane I could see from the distance that we were approaching the Boston Area which was beautiful as I could see and as the Pilot announced that, all of a sudden I felt this warm and beautiful feeling that I knew I was going to a place where I would instantly fall in love with. I was still in the sky and I could feel the wonderfulness of the city and surrounding vicinities which made me so much more excited, but it was the people there who are like my family to me that was most important to me to see when I was there. When I approached the land and as the plane came to a complete stop and taxied to the gate, My smiles were from ear to ear and I got so excited even more.

As I was leaving the Aircraft and as I left a text message to my dear friends whom are my sisters who are like family to me, came and picked me up from the arrivals at Boston Logan International Airport, then the fun and excitement really started. As I saw from the sky, I saw up close and personal of how beautiful Boston really is and its surrounding areas. I grew so close to my friends whom are my sisters and we have this bond that is unlike any other and its something so special to me. I really must say that I had a special happy place to me which was Montreal, but Boston triumphed and blew me away. I felt something different in this city, then I did with Montreal. The warmth of the people, how welcoming, and how incredible everything is.

I was at Fanueil Hall, I Saw Quincy Market, I went to the Cheers Bar where the famous iconic TV Show was aired, Went to the BAHSTAN HAHBAH(Boston Harbor), When to Gloucester(GLOWSTAH), Rockport(RAKKPAHHT), Got to go to the cheescake factory, got to shop at Macy’s, got to go to Burlington Mall, thanks so much to my sisters and brothers for taking me around,  I also went to the famous university of Harvard (HAHVAD), touched John Harvard’s Shoe and so my sisters and I decided to get me graduated with a PHD, and so I bought a T-SHIRT with Harvard on it and my sister had a CAP and GOWN and a book that looked like a Diploma Degree in my hand, so we decided to take a picture of me and instantly upload it onto Facebook and instantly I kept getting likes, and congratulations comments and the likes surpassed over 165 likes and more. It felt amazing and it was so funny.

So, the reason why I wrote HAHVAD and GLOWSTAH is because the Bostonian Accent, and the way they speak there is in that Dialect and they TAHHK differently and they don’t pronounce the R’s in some words and it becomes into a AH, and when I came back to Canada, I started talking like that and I am still doing it from time to time since I got back. I definitely want to go back to Boston and soon. It is my new happy place and it is a place that I find to be amazing, lovely and warm but because of the people there. I felt this connection that I cannot even describe. If you have never been to Boston, I suggest you make a visit and make it part of your travel plans. You will love it like I do and you will not stop talking about it. I love it so much that I became a New England Patriots Fan, A Boston Bruins Fan, A Boston Red Sox Fan, A Boston Celtics Fan. Any team Boston, I will root for them. LOL. Now people are calling me a Bandwagon Jumper and A Traitor, but I am entitled to whatever teams I want to like and root for and I can like what I want to like right? Right.

I had the most amazing Lobster ever in my life at the Lobster Pool Restaurant in Rockport, Massachusetts, and the taste is still in my mouth. I loved it so much.

I ultimately and most importantly enjoyed my quality time fully with my beautiful ladies whom are my sisters and got to spend time with their families and it was so beautiful. I felt like home in their homes, I felt like I was part of their family and it was a feeling that was indescribable and I thank them so much for everything, and for us creating our special memories that I will always remember for my whole life. I miss them so much already. It was so difficult to leave Boston. I was almost going to Cancel my return flight to Canada and stay few days more. I am so hooked on Boston and especially hooked on my lovelys. I love them so much. God bless them and their beautiful families. You all mean so much to me. Much love, ONE LOVE, ONE FAMILY, My World, My Heart, My Soul, My every being. Thank you! My Dream Came true. So blessed.

The NHL Is Back, But I don’t Care About It – Damage Has Been Done

This past weekend, we learned that the NHL (National Hockey League), is back from the lockout and they will start playing games, but nearly 4 months later and 113 days after the lockout, a lot of people, fans, and jobs were effected and the damage has been done. A lot of die hard fans are no longer fans, and I saw the comments people have left on message, discussion forums online, and I sympathize especially for those workers who work in the arena’s, servers, and among the fans who really believed in the players and the whole game. Everything is about money now, and there isn’t anything patriotic anymore, the true meaning of hockey, and the game has died down a lot, sales of merchandise has declined, and some people who had season tickets, fans who decorated their home with NHL logos and hockey everywhere have taken it down and some sold the items, people just don’t really care anymore about The League and I don’t blame them. I am one of them and I don’t care.

These Owners, CEO’s, Managers, Players of NHL have their millions of dollars just to pass around a puck for 60 minutes and all the teams per game. Greedy people who want more and more, couldn’t even come to an agreement, acting like children, Where as doctors, teachers, nurses, don’t even get paid that much. I mean where do we draw the line? Where is the passion, dedication, and patriotic approach to all this? Its all about Money. It is making me so sick to my stomach that hard working individuals like us ordinary people, and these guys they get all the praise because they are famous and they are on ice. I really do not care anymore about this game, about the league. I will not spend my time watching and supporting these people. They have lost a lot of people, and the kids too. These kids were interviewed on the news and they said that NHL Sucks and they said they don’t like it anymore. This put a big scar in the sporting industry and people don’t trust it anymore. I am very sick and tired of greediness.

Now the NHL is back, what is the point? Might as well as cancel the season because April is when Playoffs begin, it is ridiculous. They already lost me and my family as fans of NHL, and among some of my friends. We just don’t care anymore. Were done like dinner.

What Happened To Patriotic Dedication Hockey? NHL Lost A Fan

In the last couple of months, hearing about NHL Having a lockout, cancelling pre-season games, cancelling a lot of practices and hearing the owners and a lot of the players wanting more and more money seems to be the trend setter these days with a lot of greed going around. Not just the NHL But everything else. Okay, I understand the NHL (National Hockey League) needs money and everything and it takes money to get far, but this greed has got to stop, and this childish behavior of he said she said, needs to stop. What happened to patriotic hockey? What happened to the dedication and love for the game? Yes some Players are passionate about the game, but greed ruins everything. Your just getting millions of dollars just passing around a puck on the ice for 82-84 games throughout the season, whereas people who work their butts off in real society and reality get minimum wage or low pay. Is that really fair? To go to hockey games in the arenas it costs an arm and a leg to attend the games. Make it cheaper for the fans, and easy accessibility for low income families who are fans of the game, but cannot go to a game because the money is tight. Gary Bettman and the league should open up their eyes. I know a lot of people who have stopped being an NHL Fan because of all this behavior.

Where is the integrity? Where is the passion? I guess that was back in the early years up to the 90’s and then it was all down hill from there. I used to be a real hockey fan, and I never missed a game, I used to go to so many card shows, I never missed an opportunity to see players at different venues across the city, and I used to be a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens clubs, and used to collect a lot of memorabilia, sports cards and everything, but now, its lost its value and I don’t think I can be a fan to greedy people anymore, and I don’t want to be sitting down watching a Hockey game and seeing a bunch of owners and players only playing for money anymore and not for the love of the game. That is how I am feeling that money is overpowering everything and it is not such a good thing anymore. I can surely tell how hockey was played before and how hockey is being played now. More fighting, more penalties, and its a form of he said she said type of thing. I can tell how the old timers of hockey really enjoyed the game, but now not so much anymore. If NHL wants to keep their fans, then its time to smarten up, take initiative to keep costs to go watch the game low and listen to the fans and their expectations. Without the fans, NHL will not exist, and without NHL Fans, all of you would be out of a job. So in order to keep fans happy, listen to them, be on the fans side, don’t break their heart, and leave childish and greedy behavior.

This year, the lockout will hurt all the fans, but even if the lockout does happen or does not happen, I choose to no longer follow hockey and be part of hockey pools anymore. I’ve lost my flame. I hope they make smart decisions from now on. If they decrease ticket prices and food prices at the games, they will make more money and more revenue, but they think the more they increase it, the better it will be for them, but on the contrary. People with seasons tickets, people who have that love for the game, whats going to happen to their feelings? Whats going transpire? Greed just takes away all the fun and all the patriotic feelings away of the game. Money comes and goes, but the fans are the true essence of hockey, without them NHL Is nothing, sorry but that is the honest truth, sorry I still stand with my decision. I am an NHL Fan no longer, until I feel the dedication, patriotism and love for the game, I won’t be either of that to the league. Open up your eyes owners and smell the coffee.
Thanks.

Going To Amusement Parks When I Was In My Childhood

There have been many times when I have been to amusement parks in Toronto when I was a child and as well as Disney World in Florida. Every single time I would hear where going to Canada’s Wonderland, Canadian National Exhibition, Ontario Place, Wild Water Kingdom, African Lion Safari. All the places, I would be the first one to be ready. I myself loved thrill rides. I used to go on everything after I turned a certain height. We stopped going when I was 14 years old. I grew out of going to Amusement parks, but they were a lot of fun. I think I will go this summer to Wonderland to try the rides behemoth and leviathan roller coasters. I remember in 1998, we went to Disney World in Florida. We made a road trip to Florida and we decided to travel to Orlando from Daytona Beach. It was a fabulous time. I remember those days and miss those days so much. Hopefully someday when I have children, I will be able to take them to amusement parks and have them have the same fun I had. I will never forget my experiences. At Wonderland, I met many Soap Opera Stars back in the day and as well as NHL Hockey players. It was so fun. I actually went backstage to some of them as I had a VIP Pass to most of the shows. Now, I just see the ads on TV. I haven’t gone to an amusement park since 2000. Since I started to go to high school. 1999 Was my last summer for this stuff, but I wouldn’t mind going back into it this summer. It would be super fun.

What amusement parks have you gone to? What was your favourite?

Have a wonderful Summer!

Do You Like NHL Hockey? My Team Is The Montreal Canadiens!

I have been an NHL Hockey fan for quite sometime now since I was a kid. I remember going to so many card shows, hockey games and meeting players too. It was awesome. Years ago back in 1997, I had met Mats Sundin, Wendal Clark, Todd Warriner, and Tie Domi at Canada’s Wonderland in North of Toronto when they came for a Leafs fan day in September, 1997. Now as the years went by, I had met Mats Sundin again and as well as Tie Domi and have pictures with them and I have autographs from them too. They were all part of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now in 2003 I became a huge Montreal Canadiens Fan, and I went to a couple of Montreal Canadiens games and they have been super fun. I remember getting into the Bell Center / Centre Bell and the energy coming from that stadium was unlike anything I had ever seen before. More than the Air Canada Centre in Toronto when I went there for a couple of games. The Montreal Canadiens are my favourite team now for the past 8-9 years now. I love them so much because of the sole reason because I love the City Montreal and Laval a lot too. So it goes hand in hand. I am so happy to have had these hockey experiences. I want to go to a couple of Montreal Toronto games. Which in fact they played last night and won 4-1 Montreal over Toronto which I was jumping for joy. I didn’t watch it, but I saw the news in my e-mail updates I receive from Montreal Canadien’s Site. They call Montreal Canadiens the Habs… GO HABS GO!
