The Walk of Newbury St – Boston’s Beauty

For the past year and a half or so, I fell in love with a beautiful city of which has become part of my life and the beautiful people there and In May, 2014 I took the opportunity to visit my happy place Boston, Massachusetts. It was my second time visiting and I just loved every single second being there, taking it all in and catching the glimpse of Downtown Boston as much as I could. It was an incredible feeling walking on Newbury St, Seeing Boylston, and I had this emotional yet Strong feeling when I saw the finish line of the Boston Marathon. I became stronger like Boston Strong when I saw that up close and personal.

I also was able to go on a Charles River Boat Cruise, and seeing the skyline of Boston was ever so beautiful, and it was a very emotional thing for me to see, seeing the big Citgo sign from the river knowing that it’s the Fenway Park home of the Red Sox, Seeing Harvard, Boston University, MIT, and all those places where I would see in movies, as well as always hearing about them on TV, The news and more. It is wicked awesome to see it up close and personal. Traveling and seeing places are a great feeling, and I had one of the best experiences.

I had the chance to go on the Bunker Hill Bridge, seeing the TD Garden where The Boston Bruins and Celtics play. Also seeing Bobby Orr’s Statue in front of TD Garden was incredible. I could not believe my eyes when I saw all that. I always saw Boston Downtown in Movies, Television and in Magazines, but when I was there physically and seeing it with my own two eyes, It was something that I will never ever forget. I hope to visit Boston again soon for my 3rd time. If you are going to visit Boston, Planning your voyage there, and stuck on what to do, where to go, and see, please contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you.

Traveling to Wicked Awesome Boston

In life one of the most enjoyable and awesome thing is traveling, exploring and seeing parts of the world. I am especially excited to be traveling to the Super Wicked Awesome Boston, Massachusetts again for the second time Since August 2013 in less than a year. When I was landing to Boston in August 2013, I remember this warm, welcoming feeling as I was overlooking the beauty of it all, and I knew right away I would love it. It is not really the city, but the people there are so warm, friendly, strong, committed to each other, and particularly my great friends there, whom I call my family. I am excited to be reuniting with them in less than a week. They mean the world to me, and just being there with them, spending quality time together, creating everlasting memories is all I want. “Boston isn’t a city, its a family” of which someone had quoted a while back.

Last time I flew down, and this time we decided to take a road trip down which will take about 8 and a half hours. I am so used to road trips, and it will be nice to explore the scenery. I know on my Facebook I tend to talk about Boston a lot, and post up photos of the city, the logos of the teams and all that, but I just cannot help myself. To fully explore Boston and suburbs, you would need at least 2 weeks with the attractions, going to Cape Cod, New England, Rockport. Rockport has wicked awesome lobster at the Lobster Pool Restaurant by the water. The reason why I say Wicked Awesome is that New England, Bostonians say those words, and add super so in their accent, they say “Supah Wicked Awesome”. In my previous blog, I taught people how to do the Boston Accent. You will see what I am talking about.

This has happened many times where now people would ask me about Boston, what there is to do and see, where the hot spots are, attractions, museums, and the iconic Harvard University which I had the pleasure of seeing. What a huge school. I don’t know how the students are able to find their classrooms in such a huge campus. I’d go crazy, but I love Harvard Square. I even got to touch John Harvard’s shoe on his statue. I also got to eat and drink beer at the Cheers Bar which is also known as the iconic TV show which aired in the 80’s. The real one closed down, but the replica is almost exactly alike to the show, but you see the juke box, and all sorts of things back from the show, and they put on the theme song of the show in one part. It is pretty wicked awesome. I also visited the Boston Harbor which is right by cheers, also Quincy Market where I bought some Boston Stuff to take home with me. It was very nice. Visit the Boston Common as well. There is also a Duck tour where there is a vehicle that goes on water and on the road and that is the ultimate Boston experience.

I can’t wait to share stories when I come back. Heres to the Supah Wicked Awesome Boston! CHEAHS!(Cheers)

The Boston Accent

Want to Learn the Boston Accent?
Here is a crash course.
The New England, Boston accent is quite different from the New York Accent and one of the most recognizable American accents in North America, where they hardly pronounce the R’s and sometimes the AH Gets replaced by some of the other vowels, depending on the word. Just always remember to use your vocal cords and use as HAH AH. For example:

Harvard — Hahvahd (HAH-VAHD)
Dark — Dahk
Park — Pahk
Corner — Connah!
Harbor — Hahbah
Boston — Bahstan
Watertown — Wahtahtown
Wine Cellar — Wine Cellah
Quincy Market — Quincy Mahket
Lobster — Lobstah
Clam Chowder — Clahm Chowdah
Logan Airport — Logan AIAH-PAHT
Super — Supah! Followed by Wicked Awesome!
Ice Cold Water — Ice Cold Watah
Beer — Beah!

So on and so fahth… Always Remembah tah always use the AH. So, now when you are a tourist, visitah, oah moving tah Bahstan, you will automatically blend in, but eithah way, Bahstan Welcomes you no mahttah what yoah accent is. Bahstan is Wahm and Friendly place and we accept yah jahst thah way yah ah! Bahstan is a Family, and We Lahv Tah Hahv Yah!

Today is the last day of 2013, and there have been ups and downs, but mostly ups, and I have been so blessed in the past year with such incredible and beautiful Highlights, that I will never forget and I usually jot down all of my highlights in a note so that I can look back to see what I have accomplished, where I traveled, and other important days to remember. Here are the highlights of my year:

When I visited Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo, went to the Be Live Hamaca Resort where I met incredible and lovely people and we became friends. It was a great gathering.

I had always wanted to go and eat and drink at “CHEERS” Bar in Boston, Massachusetts, It was an iconic TV Show from back in the day in the 80’s and 90’s, and I scratched that off my bucket list. Thank you to my kouyrigs/sisters in Boston for making that possible and for making that happen. Had Nachos and Beer there. Its a must to have The Cheers beer.

I visited the iconic and popular University of Harvard, touched John Harvard’s Shoe. toured Harvard Square and its vicinity, and ended up Graduating (lol)

Mastered the Boston Accent — MASTAHD THAH BAHSTAN ACCENT

Tried Sushi for the first time ever in the summer and I loved it. Now cannot get enough of it. Thank you to someone who is very dear to me, who introduced sushi, sashimi, maki rolls and so much more in the Japanese Cuisine.

Had the best lobster ever at the Lobster Pool in Massachusetts. I also dined at the Cheesecake factory

Went to a few parties here and there.

Attended Bible Studies and Conferences

Went to the Armenian Toronto Summer fest with my great friend, but I call her my sister from Montreal that I did not see for a while. It was a great reunion.

Introducing You to Boston, Massachusetts – My New Happy Place

On July 21st, 2013 I remember it being a sunny day and out of the blue decided to book a trip and I said to myself, I must go and I have to go, so Last Month on August 22nd, 2013, I embarked on a solo mini getaway trip to Boston, Massachusetts which has been on my bucket list for quite sometime. When I was on the plane I could see from the distance that we were approaching the Boston Area which was beautiful as I could see and as the Pilot announced that, all of a sudden I felt this warm and beautiful feeling that I knew I was going to a place where I would instantly fall in love with. I was still in the sky and I could feel the wonderfulness of the city and surrounding vicinities which made me so much more excited, but it was the people there who are like my family to me that was most important to me to see when I was there. When I approached the land and as the plane came to a complete stop and taxied to the gate, My smiles were from ear to ear and I got so excited even more.

As I was leaving the Aircraft and as I left a text message to my dear friends whom are my sisters who are like family to me, came and picked me up from the arrivals at Boston Logan International Airport, then the fun and excitement really started. As I saw from the sky, I saw up close and personal of how beautiful Boston really is and its surrounding areas. I grew so close to my friends whom are my sisters and we have this bond that is unlike any other and its something so special to me. I really must say that I had a special happy place to me which was Montreal, but Boston triumphed and blew me away. I felt something different in this city, then I did with Montreal. The warmth of the people, how welcoming, and how incredible everything is.

I was at Fanueil Hall, I Saw Quincy Market, I went to the Cheers Bar where the famous iconic TV Show was aired, Went to the BAHSTAN HAHBAH(Boston Harbor), When to Gloucester(GLOWSTAH), Rockport(RAKKPAHHT), Got to go to the cheescake factory, got to shop at Macy’s, got to go to Burlington Mall, thanks so much to my sisters and brothers for taking me around,  I also went to the famous university of Harvard (HAHVAD), touched John Harvard’s Shoe and so my sisters and I decided to get me graduated with a PHD, and so I bought a T-SHIRT with Harvard on it and my sister had a CAP and GOWN and a book that looked like a Diploma Degree in my hand, so we decided to take a picture of me and instantly upload it onto Facebook and instantly I kept getting likes, and congratulations comments and the likes surpassed over 165 likes and more. It felt amazing and it was so funny.

So, the reason why I wrote HAHVAD and GLOWSTAH is because the Bostonian Accent, and the way they speak there is in that Dialect and they TAHHK differently and they don’t pronounce the R’s in some words and it becomes into a AH, and when I came back to Canada, I started talking like that and I am still doing it from time to time since I got back. I definitely want to go back to Boston and soon. It is my new happy place and it is a place that I find to be amazing, lovely and warm but because of the people there. I felt this connection that I cannot even describe. If you have never been to Boston, I suggest you make a visit and make it part of your travel plans. You will love it like I do and you will not stop talking about it. I love it so much that I became a New England Patriots Fan, A Boston Bruins Fan, A Boston Red Sox Fan, A Boston Celtics Fan. Any team Boston, I will root for them. LOL. Now people are calling me a Bandwagon Jumper and A Traitor, but I am entitled to whatever teams I want to like and root for and I can like what I want to like right? Right.

I had the most amazing Lobster ever in my life at the Lobster Pool Restaurant in Rockport, Massachusetts, and the taste is still in my mouth. I loved it so much.

I ultimately and most importantly enjoyed my quality time fully with my beautiful ladies whom are my sisters and got to spend time with their families and it was so beautiful. I felt like home in their homes, I felt like I was part of their family and it was a feeling that was indescribable and I thank them so much for everything, and for us creating our special memories that I will always remember for my whole life. I miss them so much already. It was so difficult to leave Boston. I was almost going to Cancel my return flight to Canada and stay few days more. I am so hooked on Boston and especially hooked on my lovelys. I love them so much. God bless them and their beautiful families. You all mean so much to me. Much love, ONE LOVE, ONE FAMILY, My World, My Heart, My Soul, My every being. Thank you! My Dream Came true. So blessed.
