The Dream to Meet Mark Zuckerberg – Founder of Facebook

Recently in the last 10 years or so, social media has been booming and blossoming like wild flowers. It is incredible how social media is such a viral and powerful tool in our lives which many of us use it for our businesses, ourselves, to communicate with friends, family and colleagues, and Mark Zuckerberg made that possible with Facebook. Mark is the founder and creator of the giant social media outlet and now more than a billion users are on the website.

All of a sudden A few weeks ago, as I was sleeping, I had this dream that I had met with Mark Zuckerberg and we teamed up to build another social media and networking outlet called “SocialCore” which went viral in seconds, which then millions of people joined our launched website within the week. I remember in my dream, I had flown to California in San Francisco, then Chicago, New York, Boston, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal and other places to brand, market and do many interviews with Mark Zuckerberg to Television, YouTube and other media outlets in Newspapers and more. Then it went global to other continents of the world. It was something so incredible. It was quite the exciting dream, that I didn’t want to wake up, and just keep letting it happen.

Now, with all that said, I really want to meet the King of Facebook, and have dinner with him, and discuss about the leading industry of our world, and pick his brain about this awesome trend of social media going on. Mark and I are only a year and 14 days apart.  It is quite amazing to communicate to people across the world and send e-mails, messages, pictures, videos, likes, groups and other things in an instant. Without this industry, I wouldn’t have met most of my friends whom are so close to me now, I would not have had such beautiful and great fans who support me and my blog, and so much more like they are my family which they are part of my family which I am ever so grateful for Facebook and the journey I am going through now and will never stop. Thank you Mark Zuckerberg. I can hug you a thousand, million times. I appreciate it very much.

Keeping LinkedIn Professional – The Do’s & Don’ts

Has LinkedIn become just another social media website? It seems like it is. I have noticed that a lot people are using it for personal reasons, and not using it in a professional and good manner. It seems like it is being used as a dating site, and unprofessionally.

LinkedIn is a website for employers, employees, those seeking employment, building your online resume in the working world, your work, educational background, the languages you speak and volunteer experience. LinkedIn should solely be used for those purposes only. If you create an account on LinkedIn, always realize that you are sharing your profile alongside CEO’s, Executives, Managers, Employment scouts and so much more. It is very important to have a professional attitude and not treat LinkedIn as just another ordinary social media site.

LinkedIn is not Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, MySpace website. Here are the do’s and don’ts and how to keep yourself professional at all times.

01. When Creating an Account on LinkedIn, develop your profile by putting your educational, employment and volunteer background

02. On building your resume, never put “I” in your tasks and skills as the person who is reading your page knows that it is you, so you do not have to add that in.

03. It is always a good idea to post a professional picture of you on your profile. Do not post pictures that you have with your pet, not with other people in it, not to wear revealing clothing, to keep yourself groomed, and presentable in your photo.

04. Always demonstrate a professional attitude if others contact you. Be aware if they are spam or they are trying to endorse and selling something. Do not respond to them and just delete the message.

05. Do not put your full Birth-date, Marital Status, and other personal information about you, Always keep it professional and solely just about your Educational, Volunteer and employment experiences.

06. Always maintain your profile, network with others in the same interests and field as you. Interact, join in groups that are in relative to you.

07. You do not need to get a premium profile just to find out who is visiting your profile. A basic profile is just good enough.

08. It is not a Dating website and it is not a good idea to find love on a professional website. Be discreet, set your standards high and do not answer. Just simply delete and block people. Not the place for it.

09. Do not post comedic pictures, emotional status messages, selfies and inappropriate things on your profile.

10. Lastly, always be careful with people who over endorse you with whom you never really spend time with, or have never worked with. It is nice to endorse people, but keep that to minimum. There is such a thing as over endorsing, that will make the person over qualified and will send the wrong message out to those who do not know you. So watch out with that. – Also do not request others to make a testimonial about you. Let others do it without asking.

That is all. I hope this will help you make the right decisions when using LinkedIn. All the best and Good luck.

The Right & Wrong Way to Use Tinder – The App – Finding Your Match

Recently, I discovered a new App called Tinder to find the perfect match, and so I decided to give it a try. So as I was discovering and playing around with it for a bit, It shows Men or Women close to you and you can play around with the settings as to how many miles or kilometers you can stretch out your search, and the age bracket you want to search for. If you swipe left it will be a nope, if you swipe right it will have a green check mark and a heart on the bottom. You can even click on the X Button or the Heart Button for yes. Tinder connects to your facebook, and picks some of your likes and interests among with your pictures from Facebook. However, it will not post your real full name. Just your first name and your age, I did notice some things that were wrong about how people are using it. Here are the wrong and right ways to use Tinder.

1. 99.9% if not 100% of the time people are not going to like and will swipe left or click on the X if you do not have a profile picture, and it shows up blank. We want to see pictures maybe more than one.

2. Your Tinder profile should be 100% you – Only have pictures of yourself on your profile, Not pictures with your friends, especially for men who have pictures with a Girl, and for Girls who have pictures with a guy. Not going to happen for you. Review your photos that have been uploaded from Facebook’s generated app, delete the ones you have with your friends, and solely put up pictures of just you Alone. Nobody else. Besides your on Tinder for a reason. right?

3. Spice up your profile, describe your interests, what do you enjoy?

4. If you are currently seeing someone and are in a relationship, you should not be on Tinder. Unless the reason is you are looking for a friend who can be a match with you, but other than that, delete your profile page.

5. I know the old fashioned way is to go out in the social world to look for your match and that sometimes online matches can be something that a lot of people may not trust, but Tinder is a great app to start.

6. Do not put up fake pictures and lie in your interests. The truth always comes out. So save the hassle.

7. Posting pictures of you with a cigarette in your mouth, looking scruffy, dirty and your pants below the buttocks will not get you brownie points with the ladies or the ladies for the men vice versa. Post up presentable and great pictures. Then that will guarantee a swipe right.

8. The only way to find out if someone liked you back is when you swipe right and its a match, but if you like somebody else, and they haven’t found you yet, or they didn’t like you back, you won’t find out about it. Remember this app is 100% about matching, but don’t give up. There is that fish in the sea that wants you too.

9. start with a hello if you match with them, and say thanks for swiping right. then see where the conversations lead. Be yourself, don’t try so hard, and don’t start talking about personal things right away. Speak in general.

10. If your match starts on wanting to do the deed right away in the first conversation you have then, there is the block option. It will go into good use.

11. if you physically meet up with anybody on Tinder for the first time face to face, always a good idea to have someone come with you, and stay a little bit from the distance, but always having your eye on them or actually going up to meet that Guy or Girl. can’t be too careful.

Well, enjoy Tinder and follow these simple steps. it will guarantee you a match. If you do not have Tinder and want to upload it to your Smartphone, go to the app store in your phone and get started with it. Have fun!

Happy 10th Birthday Facebook! Taking Social Media To A New Level

It was 8 years ago that I joined this social media website to stay in touch with family, friends, people in relative to me and people I have met through my travels and beyond. Little did I know, that the circle would get bigger. I met some incredible, beautiful, lovely people from this social media website that I began to meet some of them in person a few years later, which made the world a smaller place. I have yet to meet a few people who I so badly want to meet that I met from other friends on Facebook by merely commenting on a picture or status message and we automatically grew fond of each other, so we added each other and our friendships have blossomed since then.We have become like a family and its an amazing feeling to know that you can take time away from life’s busy schedule and converse and keep updated with your Facebook Family online.

Facebook unites many people around the world. Its incredible on how things fall into place, and see how many people are interested in the same things you are by just joining groups, pages and fan pages of a famous personality, idol, or other miscellaneous things.

Facebook definitely makes the world smaller and in seconds a lot of photos, videos, links, news, sending wishes for birthdays, baby, wedding, engagement, graduation, university announcements, invitations to events and parties, status messages, comments, messages, likes, groups, pages, businesses, food, restaurants, menus, recipes, radio stations, entertainment, movies and other things gets transmitted throughout the world. Sometimes all you need is Facebook to get all your news and information with the help of Links of course. I love Facebook because it’s a website that I am so grateful for and for Mark Zuckerberg who created this so that our communication becomes easier with the world and encountering many people on all walks of life.

Thank you Facebook for Connecting me to the world and to people I would never have met if it wasn’t for you. I am so blessed to have you all on my list and I love you all very much! Mind you, I am very careful with my selections on who I choose to add-on my friends list. I have been around on the Internet since 1997 and I am very well-educated when it comes to social media moguls and everything else.

If anybody has anything bad to say about Facebook, it’s because of the way you use it, Some use it carelessly, some use it to do bad things, some use it to do stupid things. As long as you use Facebook wisely and know what you are doing, and what you are sharing, posting and who you have on your Facebook account, that is good, but do not post every single aspect of your life as it can be misinterpreted. So the bottom line is, if you do not want your personal business on a social media site, do not post it at all because somebody can see it within the second you post it. Some things have to remain private and don’t use Facebook to bully others, hurt or offend other people, Photoshopping in a bad way and making insensitive posts. Post wisely, because each thing you post does not go away, even after deleted. Especially on a Social Media website, that can be accessed by billions of people around the world. So be careful, exercise caution and use it to inspire, to be kind, to do great things with it like communicating, and enjoying it.

Do you use Facebook in a great way? Do you have an account? If so, what are your thoughts about the social media website? What do you like or not like about it? I would love to hear your opinions on it. How can you spread the awareness to use Facebook in a good manner and not use it in the wrong way?

Most about Facebook is good, incredible, and awesome and I believe that Facebook has changed the interface of communications forever. I wish FB Continued success throughout the years. Heres to strengthening communication of people from a distance, and cheers to everlasting friendships through Facebook across the many miles around the world. Happy Birthday Facebook! Heres to another 10 years and beyond!

Not Everyone Will Be Your Friend, Find Ones That Will Be

Out of everything I have been through in my life, and trying to make sense of who are my true friends or not and among everything else, It is a hard thing to for some to make sense of it all. In life you will encounter so many different types of people and you will meet all sorts of people, but not everyone will be your friend. You just talk to people, not knowing their name or where they come from. It happens in spontaneous moments when your out in public, when you are traveling and people in school, work, or other places. Some people come into your life for a few minutes, you will meet and talk to someone for an hour or half an hour or whatever the case maybe, and then you part your ways. Its happened to me a lot and it is pretty cool that way too. You talk to someone and then you never see them again, but I remember once talking to someone at a coffee shop and then I saw that same person again 3 weeks later. We ended up coming in at the same time. I am a person who never forgets faces and who never forgets whom I have spoken with in person. She remembered me too. We had a few minutes conversation and that was it, and we parted our ways. We haven’t seen each other since, but maybe we will again. It is incredible how things happen in such a way where people who can relate to things end up meeting and talking, bu then never really become friends. I love spontaneity and things that just happen without planning. I feel that is one of the best ways to go.

You sort of have a gut instinct in you when the time is right and when the person is right to make friends with them. People have this feeling all the time when a person is right to ask their name and have a friendship with them. It has happened to me. I remember many times at my Armenian community center or when I am on my travels somewhere, you automatically feel, that person is appealing and you take a look in someones eyes and you see fake or real, and when you can really understand each other and relate, that is the type of friends you need. When you can relate to each other and when you can be there for each other in good times and in the bad, when you can have many things in common, share each others feelings, confide into each other. It the best type of friendships to have. Not so much the quantity of friends, but the quality of the relationship you have with your best friend or your closest friends. Its one special thing you all have in common together that nobody else will really understand your inside jokes, your humorous personalities, your outlook on life, the common interests, and finding a solid foundation to build your trust among your friends. it is always a good idea to really analyze and to really get to know people before you really jump into friendships quickly. Give it time to become best friends, or very close friends.

The worst thing you can do to someone is replace them, and feeling replaced by others and tossed to the side. Some people find good friends for a year or 2 or 3, and then you become an old part of their life, so then they jump into new friendships and toss you like yesterdays newspaper in the recycling bin. That is how I feel sometimes and it is not a good feeling. Find someone who will be by your side to understand you and your feelings and who will stay friends with you forever and ever and not leave your side after a year to 3 years of friendship. It is a crummy thing you can do to someone and that is not a good trait. Unless that person is not who you thought you knew and if things happen that are not good, then that is okay, but when you know you have not done anything to hurt someone and when you know you haven’t ever said a mean thing to that person or people, and get shafted, it is not a good thing. People need to realize that doing this is not good.

Be faithful and loyal with friendship, that will strengthen yourself and good habits will always be remembered. Do yourself a favour and choose friends wisely who will go to the ends of the earth for you and then naturally people will help each other and everything will fall into place. Just believe and do it. All the best in everything.

Facebook’s New Timeline – Much Better Than The Previous

This morning, I woke up did my morning routine with washing up, eating breakfast, washing my dishes and I decided to get on my Facebook to check my messages and notifications, and I go to my Facebook Page and I see that the timeline is changed and I think this way it is better. All your wall messages, and things you post are on the right side whereas everything else from the liked pages and interests are on the other side. Last year I could not respond to all my birthday messages because they all got lost in the older timeline. Now it will be no problem to respond to them all. This new timeline is so much better. I can finally read things properly and I can finally do things on my page without having to struggle all the time. Do you like the new timeline? Do you like the way Facebook is now?

I’d still prefer the old fashioned way before the timeline was introduced though, but this is a great vast improvement on Facebook’s part which I am enjoying now. I can communicate better with my family, friends and fans, I can update it better and everything else. I remember when I did the mistake of switching to the first timeline, and where a lot of people were still on the original facebook and then eventually everyone got it, but I admit this new timeline is great and it brings a whole new twist into social media and communications. I can see everything more clearly and that is the way it is supposed to be.

What is your opinion on it?

Have a great day!

Blogging Is Something Therapeutic For Me – You Don’t Need To Be An Expert Writer

In this life now, social media, blogging and tweeting are on the rise. A lot of us out there blog, tweet, and are on so many social media websites, and I find blogging to be therapeutic for me. I feel like this is one of the only ways I get to express myself, my feelings and the way I see things in the world. I know and admit that I am not an expert in writing, and I know that I need to fix where punctuation goes and stuff, but I am working on it, but to have a blog, you don’t need to be an expert writer. A blog is a place where people of course express how they feel about a situation, having to share with the world what happens, sharing opinions, suggestions, advice, and among so many things. I feel the need to express myself in my blogs and the only way I know how to sometimes. I like knowing that I blog everyday about everything. I like writing about so many topics, recipes, current events, social, social media, social networking, and among so many things. I am not perfect and I do make mistakes, I’ve done things I haven’t been proud of, but I am sure a lot of us have been through that road and that path at one point or another. I find blogging to be a whole new interface of expressing opinions and ones feelings and I feel great doing it. I just wish everyone understood my point of view. I feel proud of my accomplishments with blogging, I feel good about achieving my goals to strive to make this world a better place, with more happier people and for people to smile, have this incredible positivity and to get people to feel great about themselves. It is very important to me and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I want the best for everyone. Blogging is something that is very important to me in my life. It is something I feel that I am great at doing.

A Social networking guru and a person who is a social media expert once said to me at a Seminar I attended about Social media, is that everyone should have a blog. It doesn’t matter what it is about, it is very nice to have a blog and to write. He said you do not have to be an expert and professional at writing. It is something that each and everyone of us should do. He said you could write everyday, once a week or couple of times a week, but he said have a blog, and make it whatever you want it to be and go with it. I feel the same way. I will never forget the way I felt when I first started to blog. It was pretty nerve wracking at first and I was pretty nervous to start one because I would be sharing myself with the world, and I do admit I was scared at first, but then after my first week, it wasn’t so bad, and I kept writing and writing. It was something I couldn’t stop and I actually enjoyed my writing, I actually enjoyed interacting with so many people on the internet and sharing point of views. I remember how nervous I was, but then now I am not anymore. It is such a beautiful thing. Even though I am not a perfect writer, but I feel like I get my points across the way I see fit and the way I want to portray my blog and myself. I feel great blogging. I never like to keep things bottled up inside and when I blog it is a totally new twist among everything. I have worked so hard and come this far. Some people ask how I do it everyday and how I commit to blogging everyday with daily life, I answer it simply by saying it is therapeutic for me and I look at it like Its my life and a big part of my life. I have received a lot of opportunities doing this and it feels great. A lot of professors, doctors, priests, and so many other people have come to my blog.

Blogging is an interesting world. When people search for keywords a blog shows up automatically on search engine websites. It depends on how you want to be searched and it depends on how comfortable you are sharing your blog with the world. I mean why not? Its an amazing world and I enjoy blogging. I love it.

What about you? What does blogging mean for you? What has it done for you? How does it impact your life? Would love to hear from you.

All the best in everything.
