The Key Component to Genocide Prevention

The Armenian Genocide

101 Years
1915-2016

On April 24, 1915 the Turkish Government and the Ottoman empire committed a terrible criminal act against humanity, tried to wipe out a whole race and culture. They killed 1.5 Million Armenians, stole our precious landmarks, churches, lands, Mount Ararat, pulled the rug right under us. The blood, flesh, bones, decapitation, tears, fears, displacing people from their homes, families, with Armenians changing their Armenian names to something Turkish so that they will not be targeted and where they will feel protected from harms way. The Turkish Government still denies and lies about ever committing Genocide against the Armenians and also still fails to recognize.

We will prevail, Justice is timeless.

This is why it is imperative to spread Genocide awareness as much as we can so that history will never repeat itself again.

In 2015, we commemorated the centennial. 100 years have gone by and this year in 2016 is the 101st. After 100 years, we will still continue to spread Genocide prevention.

Recognize, Acknowledge, Awareness, Educate, Prevent.

Those are the key components to Genocide prevention.

Not just for the Armenians, but all those in the world who have had to unfortunately, deal with Genocide in other cultures, races.

We received a lot of Global recognition last year which was incredible with all the coverage, letting people know about us, being put on the map, and addressing this very important subject.

Let us utilize the same energy we had during the Armenian Genocide 100th Centennial in 2015 and bring that same drive into 2016, to be big in numbers once again during peace demonstrations, marches, vigils, and so much more.

Shoplifting & Stealing Will Put A Big Dent In Your Life!

In recent stories I have heard on the news of people robbing banks, retail stores, grocery stores, malls, who steal gasoline, so on and so forth has got my blood boiling. I just do not see the logic in people who commit fraud, who steal, who shoplift, who do terrible things to get money and items from other people. I know that times are tough, prices are increasing, and that  people will do anything to survive, but have those people ever thought of making a nice clean living? have they thought about making an honest living? It doesn’t matter what people are going through, stealing is wrong in so many levels. It is one of the 10 commandments in the bible saying thou shall not steal in Exodus – Chapter 20.. If people do not have the money to buy something, they should not buy it, if people are in deep debt and keep getting into deeper debt, maybe its about time to stop buying things you cannot afford and pay off your debt. It will save your reputation with your credit and then the collections agency to be after you. It is not a good thing to go through. Debt is one of the main reasons why people find the thrill to shoplift, steal and fraud other people for money.

Always set aside money and things for a rainy day. You never know when you might need it. I know people work so hard to make ends meet from paycheck to paycheck, but everyone can be debt free when they budget themselves and buy important things rather than dishing out for unimportant things like a 500 dollar purse, or 300 dollar shoes, or a 800 dollar dress, or extra fees and monthly payments of certain things in the house. That money can be saved for important things like necessities to survive, like food, important hygiene products, useful things for the house, saving up the travel somewhere.

I am not telling you how to spend your money and your hard earned cash, but learning the value of money and how you worked so hard earning that money and thinking about spending it before you spend it, is something so important and that will making everything go right and money issues will be no more. I cannot stress how important it is to save save save. You can put a down payment on a house, you can buy a car, you can do anything, but make sure it is for the right reasons. Money will go within seconds. Saving some aside is not a bad thing.

Shoplifting, Fraud, and Stealing will put a huge dent into someones life for good and it will be on your record for the rest of your life and if your looking for employment, if your looking for a relationship and when your employer or when your better half finds out, the trust will be gone and trust will be so hard to get back. So be honest, making an honest living, and do not steal and do terrible things to others. I believe in Karma and what goes around comes around and God watches everyone from above. Stealing something that is even 1 Dollar, or Stealing something that is 10 dollars or stealing gas from a gas station or stealing from others. Is it really worth your reputation? Is it really worth your credentials? Is it really worth your record being ruined for life? Is it really worth for someone to go to jail, serving a sentence for it? I don’t think it is worth it at all.

If I don’t have the money for something, I will not buy it and I will not even look at something. Spending money wisely is the way to go. I know that living expenses and the prices of everything are going up, but those need to change too and be fair for the economy and the world we live in and I totally understand that, but again stealing is stealing and it is wrong. It doesn’t matter. the bottom line is when someone is old enough to steal, they are old enough to serve a punishment. When you do the crime, you do the time. It is all that matter in the end because nobody else will clean up your mess you made in terms of your life because you will have a dent that cannot be repaired ever again and even if you try to hide it, the truth always comes out. Think about it.

The Armenian Genocide of April 24, 1915 – 97 Years Later

The Armenian Genocide has been a constant struggle in the Armenian Community around the world for the past 97 years. As the 97th Anniversary approaches next month, I feel the need to talk to you about it today. The Armenian Genocide happened on April 24, 1915 until about 1923. Crimes committed against humanity of Armenians by Ottoman Turkey. 1.5 Million Armenians were massacred, murdered, and taken out of their homes, deported, made people walk through the desert and when they get tired or fall, the Turkish Ottoman empire sees them and kicks them down, women were raped, slaughtered, decapated, stabbed, shot and so much more. The Turkish Ottoman Empire tried to wipe all the Armenians off the globe, but could not succeed. 97 Years later the scar is still there and will never go away in the Armenian Community. They tried to wipe a Christian Nation, but they could not. This issue has been a constant struggle in the world in terms of recognition and acknowledgement that these criminal acts did happen and Turkey has yet to admit their crimes against humanity.

Annually we take buses to go to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in Canada’s Capital to Thank Canada for continuously supporting and recognizing the Armenian Genocide and being by our side during this pain we have all felt. Even though we were not alive on those times, we all feel it and we are all affected by it as they are our ancestors and familiy members from that time. Every year we have dignitaries, politicians come and speak in front of the Parliament and every year we do our commemorations differently, Then we march to the Turkish Embassy to talk to the Turkish Ambassador to stop denying the Armenian genocide and come forth and admit their crimes. We will never stop until Justice has been served for our people. We hope that history will never repeat itself.

In Recent events, Khloe Kardashian and Lemar were interviewed about the Armenian Genocide where later The Armenian Genocide was ranked in the top 10 searches on the Internet this past week which is the type of awareness we need because we want to tell the world about what happened to us. Some people do not even know what an Armenian is and what has happened to us in the past. I commend Khloe, Kim and the Kardashian family for being so supportive and so dedicated to the Armenians and Armenian causes. I really appreciate it from them. Raising awareness not only About the Armenian Genocide, but all the other Genocides in history combined. The Genocide is something so horrible. It means to try to wipe a race out of the world which is not a great thing. Racism and hate does not get anybody anywhere in life. All it creates are problems and more hate. The world needs to learn to live and let live and to love one another and leave countries alone, and help each other out. God Rest all the victims souls who had to be subject of Hate crimes and Genocide.
