Missing Jay Leno & His Headlines

There was a show that I used to enjoy and watch almost every night before going to bed and it was The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I remember when he used to share Headlines everyday and the headlines were about errors in newspapers whether its a spelling issue, or a “You Had One Job” type of error and advertising that were absolutely hilarious. I used to enjoy watching it with my family and friends.

I really miss it a lot. Now that Jimmy Fallon has taken over, I was hoping that he would bring the headlines to his show with of course getting permission from Jay Leno and the show broadcaster from it. I have sent Jimmy Fallon and the crew many e-mails about getting the headlines back into The Tonight Show, but no response. I guess with all the e-mails and messages they receive on social media per day, It tends to get lost and probably never even read it yet.

I Miss Jay Leno a lot. I love Jimmy Fallon too. I just wish he could bring some of what Jay Leno’s show did to his production. I know that wouldn’t be right to take things off from another show that was there, but they should continue the tradition. Headlines was my absolute favourite and it was done in such a way, that I just laughed my head off.

I just miss it. Did you enjoy headlines too?

The Family Matters TV Show – Nostalgia Hits Again

As you may or may not know, Family Matters was an American Sitcom show which began in September 1989 to May 1997 on ABC. After the show moved to CBS from September 1997 to July 1998 when they went off the air. The Family matters Family is known as the Winslow Family. A family of Middle-class African American’s living in Chicago Illinois. After some time had gone in the first season, the show introduced the funny and nerdy neighbor (Steve Urkel – Played by Jaleel White). Urkel, then was made the highlight of the show and became the main character.

The show ran on 9 successful seasons. It’s popularity grew so much. Family Matters was created by William Bickley, and Michael Warren. It was developed by Robert L. Boyett and Thomas L. Miller. They completed 215 episodes.

The theme composer of the beginning was Jesse Frederick, Bennett Salvay and Scott Roeme and the opening theme was “As Days Go By”

The Family Matters cast was Reginald VelJohnson, Jo Marie Payton, Rosetta LeNoire, Darius McCrary, Kellie Shanygne Williams, Jaimee Foxworth, Joseph & Julius Wright, Telma Hopkins, Bryton McClure, Jaleel White, Shawn Harrison, Michelle Thomas, Orlando Brown, and Judyann Elder.

Their Screen name actors and actresses are, Carl Otis Winslow, Harriette Baines- Winslow, Edward “Eddie” Winslow, Laura Lee Winslow, Judith “Judy” Winslow, Estelle “Mother” Winslow, Richard “Richie” Crawford, Rachel Baines- Crawford, Steven “Steve” Urkel Stefan Urquelle Myrtle Urkel, Waldo Geraldo Faldo, Myra Monkhouse, and Jerry Jamal “3J” Jameson.

Steve Urkel says his funny lines such as “Did I do that?” begins laughing and snorting at the same time. His infatuation and love for Laura Winslow was what was so great and awesome. Steve Urkel always caused trouble. lol. It was quite funny and some of it was serious too.

You might be watching The Young and The Restless and the one who plays Devon Hamilton was little Richie on the show and his name is Bryton McClure.

It was a great quality show. Nostalgia hit me again and I remember when I was in Chicago, I was passing through a place that was exactly shown on the beginning opening theme of the show. I felt like I was in the opening credits at that moment. I will forever cherish and love this show. I also did re-enact the theme to that as well. This show really touched base on reality, on family, the struggles and as well as a comedic touch to it all. They touched base on serious matters and addressed it in a tasteful manner. Very well done.

I guess, some of us if not all of us who were growing up in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s we all were glued to television before the internet was the internet.

You do not find shows like this these days that is for certain. Unfortunately, hope I am mistaken, but I don’t think and feel that we will ever see quality and family-oriented shows such as this in modern day television.

Rewind to 90’s — My Favourite Movie Choices

My Favourite Movies Of All Time

Yesterday on Television, on TV Tropolis, they were showing some older films and I watched Airplane and Airplane 2: The sequel, and I really love those kinds of movies with that humour. most of the actors in the movie passed away in recent years. It is still hard to believe that Leslie Neilson passed away. Anyway, I know the movie so well, that I knew exactly what they are going to say or the next scene. It was so funny and I still laugh every time. Some movies you watch and watch again and still laugh like it is your first time watching it. Some movies you just watch once or twice, but the rest you can watch several times. i just don’t like the commercials when I watch the movies. I know there is a way to delete the commercials while watching a movie, but I don’t have that feature like TiVo or something. Anyway, Here are my movie choices of all time.

The Ugly Truth, Home Alone, Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, National Lampoons Vegas Vacation, Christmas Vacation, European Vacation, Airplane, Airplane 2, Weekend At Bernie’s, Dennis the menace, Father of the Bride, Mrs Doubtfire, Forrest Gump, My Girl, Naked Gun movies, Hot shots, hot shots part deux, Babies day out, Hangover, Hangover 2, Campaign, Vince Vaughn movies, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Bradley Cooper, Alex O’loughlin, and so many other actors movies and so many other movies. I am such a big movie fan, I love comedy, romantic comedy, I like the notebook, dear john, and I like to get new movies all the time, and go to the theater once in a while. It depends if it’s a really good movie. or else I just wait for the DVD or Blue Ray to come out to the stores?

What are your movie choices? What do you like to watch? What are your interests when it comes to entertainment? Soon in the coming weeks I will be doing critics on movies and what they mean to me and I will be giving my insight on them. I will be doing that soon. Stay tuned! Have a lovely day!

Witnessing The CSI: Las Vegas TV Show Being Filmed Before My Eyes Was Incredible

On October 17, 2012, My family and I decided to make a drive to Fremont St in Las Vegas, Nevada to go and see the light show and just stroll around. We parked our rental car and we walked to the street. Now when we were walking through the Fremont St, I noticed a huge crowd and I thought something was going on because they are barricades all around. As we got closer, I saw CSI On the chairs, at this point I was getting really excited, and I did more observing to see that Actor Ted Danson was 15 Feet away from me. I said Hi Ted! He looked and waved at me, so then afterwards, I got way to the front and We were watching the “Strip Maul” Season 9 Episode 13 to be aired November 28, 2012, and I got super excited to watch this take place, and then I saw George Eads, and Jorja Fox along with extras. This time I got really excited. Jerry Bruckheimer was also there sitting and observing and directing on what was going on. At this point, I was there for over 2 and a half hours. For a scene that takes 5 minutes or 8 minutes it takes over 3 hours to film and it looked like we had just got there when they started. It is quite interesting how they film murder scenes and how they quickly get dressed behind the scenes an come back out. Ted Danson was wearing the exact same thing when I saw the real episode last week. Because Ted Danson was in Cheers, I yelled and said “Ted, does everyone know your name?” its the theme song quote that I used and people around me were laughing and they said, that is original. Then I heard that they usually film on Fremont St and those parts of Las Vegas. Not much toward the hotels down the strip. It was incredible.  When I saw George Eads, he waved at me too and smiled. They do not look at all like how they look on TV. They look so much better in person.

Now, as they were wrapping up, Actress Jorja Fox walked right beside me to head to the other scene which was set up across the other street. It is so cool how they do the scenes. I couldn’t believe I saw Jerry Bruckheimer. He does most of the CSI: Series and he is a great director. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Whenever your in California, Vegas, New York, Chicago, your always bound to come across a movie or TV series being filmed, but sometimes they do it all in a studio too, but it is extra awesome to see it unfold right before your eyes. I will never forget this ever in my life. Thank goodness I had taken pictures of it all and Now as I look at these pictures, It is something that I will always remember and finally say I saw these actors. Below are some pictures I Snapped while filming.

A Poem Dedicated To The Late Paul Baghdadlian — An Armenian Singer Who Passed Away June, 2011

A poem dedicated to the Late Paul Baghdadlian who passed away June 28, 2011…

The Song of An Angel

This sickness took you away,

your family,

your friends,

you fans,

They all prayed to God for you to stay.

We listen to your songs,

We watch your video’s,

We look at your pictures,

we think of you now and for always,

for us to keep your memory alive,

Oh Paul Baghdadlian a person we will miss,

but it is too late. We are already missing you.

Paul you are suffering no longer,

but we must learn and do what you wish,

for us not to cry and for us to be stronger.

Now you have wings to fly,

An Angel who will watch over us,

who will and already is entertaining the angels of heaven,

Now you can create a song,

A song of an Angel…

——————————————————————–

We love you PAUL

Always and forever

Gone, but never forgotten….

Love,

Talin Orfali

I Love To Laugh

In My life I laughing is one of my favourite things to do. I love comedy movies, comedy videos, comedic photos, so on and so forth. I think laughing is such a wonderful thing. We all have our lives to think about, all the stress, getting by day to day, but we should take sometime to laugh, enjoy and really get out there and unwind a bit, and leave stress at the door. When your at home, or when your out, its such a positive and great thing to laugh and there are so many different ways all of us laugh and were all unique in that way. whether your with friends, family, always figure out ways to incorporate laughing, watch a funny movie, do funny things(NOT THOSE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME THINGS Of course), take sometime to leave those gadgets, playbooks, tablets, laptops, computers and all sorts of technology down and do something fun and interactive, face to face.

I love laughing a lot. It keeps me going. They say that laughing is the best medicine, and laughing can also make you lose calories and it works so many muscles in the body and its one of the best things you can do for yourself. Just LAUGH WILL YA? 🙂
