Life is Like A Journey On A Train

Life is like a journey on a train…
with its stations…
with changes of routes…
and with accidents !

🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
We board this train when we are born and our parents are the ones who get our ticket.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
We believe they will always travel on this train with us.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant – our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Many will go so unnoticed that we won’t even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train !
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.
🚂🚋🚋🚋
A good journey is helping, loving, having a good relationship with all co passengers…
and making sure that we give our best to make their journey comfortable.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
The mystery of this fabulous journey is :
We do not know at which station we ourselves are going to get off.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
So, we must live in the best way – adjust, forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to leave our seat… we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.”
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Thank you for being one of the important passengers on my train… don’t know when my station will come… don’t want 2 miss saying: “Thank you”

Advice for Connecting flight passengers.

Travel is such an incredible thing to experience when you go from one place to another and there are some pros and cons about connecting flights versus direct non-stop flights. Although its great to see different airport hubs and to fly with different aircraft, however there can be some stressful yet frustrating moments when it comes to layovers when it comes to delays and even worse, cancellations. It is something that we do not want to hear, but sometimes it is out of our control due to discrepancies with the weather, runway delays, an unruly passenger, late passengers, aircraft issues. Whatever the case maybe.

I am here to give you advice on what to do when you have a flight that is delayed and you have to make it to your next flight within the hour or 2. whatever duration it maybe that cuts very close to your departure time to your final destination. It can be a nerve-wrecking, panicky moment when you hear your flight is delayed for 2 hours and you have to make it to your next flight and you have about an hour or so time gap in between. It makes anybody nervous and anxious.

When you know you are going to be delayed, right away without waiting, go to the desk counter where you see staff from the airline and explain your situation to them that I have I connecting flight, I will not make it for that flight because of the delay. You must do something for me, reissue another boarding pass for a later flight from that Airport hub. When you do that, your flight is automatically protected and they will know you are connecting.

Always show the airline staff your travel itinerary and give them an understanding of your situation. It can save you hassle in the long run and you are secure to arrive to your final destination on the same day. It would be terrible to lose time during your travels due to connecting flight delays.

That is why I mostly recommend people taking direct non-stop flights rather than layovers. I have learned from experience twice and both times were so stressful and my palms were sweating. I know sometimes people have no choice but to have layovers whether or not its one stop, two stop, 3 stop connectors. It is absolutely exhausting to find terminals, gate numbers, and you have to literally run because you are on a tight schedule. I can definitely relate. It is not a pleasant thing to go through, especially when flights are so close with each other in time.

I remember once I had 50-55 minutes to make it to my next flight when I flew to USA. The airports in USA are so spread out and huge, I had to switch terminals because one was from international to domestic, took a shuttle which took about 5-10 minutes to get to, and then followed by a long hallway to my gate and then I had to stop for a bathroom break, then by the time I got to my gate to sit down, not even 1 minute later they started to board my flight. I was completely exhausted, hungry and frustrated. I was almost going to cry. I was by myself which stressed me out even more.

Since then, I have never taken connecting flights and always looked for itineraries which has direct. I don’t care. I will pay more for my airfare, I will not go through what I went through. It was absolutely crazy.

Have you been through nightmares and frustrations with Connecting flights?

Safe travels!

Travel Tips On Heading to The Airport, At The Airport, In The Air, After Landing

Make sure you have everything you need packed, and always check back with the Airline and Airport for your flight times. It is very important to keep track of your flight schedule at least 12-24 hours prior to

departure as it is the travelers responsibility to make sure your on time for your flight and your at the boarding area well in advanced before getting in the airplane. Check in at least 3 hours before departure. We

always arrive more than 3 hours before our flight. It makes life that much easier because you know your going away that day, so you must always look at the time. Make sure you have all your important

documents such as passports, tickets, visas(if required), your declaration cards, whatever it may be. Now that there are a liquids and aerosol bans, make sure you get the right travel bottles to put the liquids in

and make sure they don’t exceed 100ml or you will be required to put them in your checked baggage. The best way to get through security is to empty out your pockets before heading to security to save more

time and the process will be much easier and you will be on your way to your airline gate faster. Due to where your destination is and what airline you will travel with always check out the maximum allowance of how

much weight you can carry in your checked and carry on baggage. If it exceeds the amount allowed, you may have to pay for each pound or each kilo added. So pack smart and pack efficiently. If you are

sending gifts or items, please do not wrap them because it maybe inspected. It is always the travelers responsibility to double check everything or you maybe denied boarding. In my past experiences, being on

time for your flight and being in the boarding area of maximum an hour or hour and a half before your flight is crucial because the flight attendants and airline ground workers will already start announcing your flight,

then they start announcing passengers between for example rows 1-15 please start boarding or 15-32. Through what I have witnessed that has happened people arrive to the gate 10 minutes before the flight

leaves. you do not want that. You want to be rested, relaxed and enjoying your trip without the sudden rush. It depends if your connecting flights though, but just relax and enjoy your airport experience and get

to places on time.
