Is Trusting People For Their Word The Thing of the Past?

Lately, I have been doing a lot of thinking about trust and trusting people. Nowadays, its very difficult to trust and to believe in people. Sometimes you have to do second guessing, and underestimate people in worst case scenarios.

Now, when you are making big decisions of life such as buying a home, car, or other important things or put certain conditions on things, people always need to protect themselves. Sometimes and often times people need proof on paper and in writing. Nowadays people do not go for someone’s verbal words that they say they will do something or give something.

Even granting people permission when they say expressed written permission must be granted if they would like to use material from books, films, internet, articles, and other copy right things.

Unfortunately society has made us this way. People now know how to trick people, lie and cheat. Now unfortunately and heaven forbid when you get into a small accident that did not even injure them and people go all Hollywood and act out. Now you need evidence to protect yourself by taking photos of the car that was involved in the accident, the licence plate number, have a dashcam, and even put things in writing to always have paper and a pen in the car for cases, so that you can obtain their information and write that it was a minor collision and for them to sign it. So that they do not tamper with the truth.

Imagine, your boss at work promises to promote you, give you a raise, or says that they will do something, it is in your right to get things in writing. Its so important.

You have to be very careful these days. People always know how to ruin another person. They have ways to really destroy someone and fraud people. It is pretty sad. When you expect someone to keep their word, they end up disappointing you and say, Oh I never said that, I don’t know what you are talking about, I don’t remember saying that. They always have a back up plan to really get into someone and manipulate them.

It is very rare these days to find people who keep their word and trusting people. I’ve had a lot of trust issues these days. When people manipulate you, and try to destroy you, stay away. I would never associate with people who are out to get you.

In conclusion, always protect yourself. Always keep everything documented. You never know when you might end up needing that evidence. Take photos, keep messages, and so much more. It is crazy how society has become where a word is no longer enough. When you give someone your word, keep your promise, and don’t disappoint others. Be kind, be real and don’t take advantage of someone, don’t be dishonest. It is one of the worst things you can do.

Have you been in a situation where you feel like you were the victim in someone’s lies?

Have you ever been through an ordeal where you didn’t get things in writing and things ended up badly for you because of not doing so?

Indeed Talin, nowadays every aspect of our lives are based on materialism and lies. Sad but true we need to document every step of our life just to justify our own action
