Armenian Genocide Commemoration – Ottawa, Canada

To Those Taking a Bus down to Ottawa, Ontario Canada
 
Sunday April 24, 2016 at 6am sharp in the morning, buses will leave The Armenian Community Center of Toronto at 50 Hallcrown Pl. Victoria park/401 Area.
 
The Armenian Genocide 101st Commemoration peace demonstration will take place at 12noon in front of Parliament and there will be a protest and March to the Turkish Embassy.
 
1.5 Million Armenians were massacred, Our lands stolen by the Turkish Government and we go to Ottawa Annually. The Turkish Government still refuses to recognize and still deny and lie about not committing these crimes against us.
 
If you are going to be attending, please register with the Armenian Community center by calling (416) 491-2900 or visiting to put your name and whoever else is joining you.
For all other cities such as Montreal, Laval, Cambridge, and others please see your local Armenian community centres for more information.
 
The buses take you free of charge, but it is up to you to donate whatever amount you like.
 
***To those who will be taking their own transportation to Ottawa, it is advised that you check where you can park without getting a ticket or having your vehicle towed. It is recommended that you either park at Rideau Centre 50 Rideau Street Ottawa, Ontario K1N 9J7 which is $20 daily rate or you can park at the Turkish Embassy grounds at the park there Wurtemburg St, Ottawa and so when it is time to go, your car will be there ready for you. Just please watch out for signs for parking.***
 
You just need to walk to the Parliament. Please get there early so you can allocate your time to make it for the ceremonies to begin. Walking to the Parliament is not that far at all. 15 – 20 minutes at the most
 
You do not have to be Armenian to join us. Everyone is welcome
