A Chocolate Lover and A Big Nutella Fan

Since I was a little girl, Chocolate used to be my number one thing. Whether it was at home, or visiting family homes, family friends homes, When they used to put out chocolate, I couldn’t help but snag a few bites of chocolate. Its so good! I love so many types of chocolate, but one isn’t really my cup of tea and they say Dark Chocolate is the best and its good for you, but I beg to differ. Everytime I eat Dark Chocolate, I get this really funny aftertaste in my mouth and I don’t enjoy it at all. If its Milk Chocolate like Hersheys, Cadbury, and with Almonds its all good with me. I love the reese Chocolate peanut butter cups too. Its so delicious.

I love Chocolate cake, Chocolate Fudge, Chocolate Syrup, Chocolate Ice Cream, the Mousse, I sometimes make Chocolate cake and I make a little extra so as I can eat the Chocolate Cake batter. I love eating Cake Batter or Raw Cookie dough. It is so good. I know people say that there are raw eggs in it, but it has never effected me. I just eat it and I know its so many calories and stuff, but I just cannot help it. I love it.

Once in my cooking/baking class back in High School, we made a huge batch of Chocolate Chip cookies and I remember when the other people in my group weren’t looking, I used to eat the Chocolate Chip cookie dough with the Chips in it and it was sooooo good. They never caught me which was the fun part. LOL. We made a whole bunch so they didn’t even notice the Raw dough was even touched or eaten. Even the teacher didn’t see.

Now, Nutella is my ultimate fave. I love that stuff and they say that Nutella spreads a whole lot of energy and the hazelnuts and stuff in it are good for you and it is nutritious. Whenever I eat it, I feel so energetic and better throughout my day. Whenever I go shopping for groceries, Nutella is one of the things I get and when it comes home, It barely lasts a week or two. Now I am not one of those who puts a very thin thin layer of Nutella on my Pita Bread, Toast or Bagel, I love to add a lot more and actually taste the Nutella. Its such an awesome invention. I just love the rich, incredible taste to it and the smoothness. I once made a Nutella Frosting Cake and The whole cake was eaten in a matter of 2 days. I made it the day of and gone the next day by my family.

In a few blogs that I will post in the future will be all about CHOCOLATE this, CHOCOLATE that. πŸ™‚

Stay tuned.

Your article is very interesting and tempting. The last thing I really need right now is chocolates to add to my weight problem. Can you do a post about beer? Now that’s something I can drink to after all it’s what contributed to my weight problems now. But I’m happy Talin:)

I LOVE chocolate!!!!!! But I agree, Dark chocolate is bitter to me. Don’t like it at all. My favorite is Dove chocolate!! Aww man, now I want some chocolate!

    I’m a chocoholic from way back πŸ™‚
I just finished wrapping a couple of very large boxes of chocolates (Christmas Presents) for friends that also love chocolate, and I can tell you it was not easy. πŸ˜†

I am a choco-holic and this post made me want to lick my screen!!!

True confession: I’ve NEVER had Nutella!! It always sounded so weird to me, but if you – another chocolate freak – are speaking so highly about it, that’s it! I’m getting some.

  6. Terra Newsome says:

I agree about the dark chocolate though I will eat it time to time! I love chocolate and Nutella too, as well as my kids. It becomes costly with 5 kiddos but Nutella is good for them though. πŸ˜‰

We hardly bother anymore with the delivery system for our Nutella…we just use our spoons. However, if you want a treat, buy some croissants and put Nutella in them and then bake…..yum!

I had personally never tried Nutella until a few months ago. My daughter had eaten it at her sitter’s and begged me to buy some. I thought I had heard where it was somewhat nutritious so I figured I’d give it a shot. Now it’s one of my favorite snacks, and I can’t let it run out without picking up a new jar!!

I just enjoyed some raw chocolate chip cookie dough last night for the first time in forever. It was awesome! Chocolate is an absolute drug to my wife and me. And we are sooo addicted!

I agree – some of the dark chocolate can be too bitter. My favorite dark chocloate is Ghiradelli Espresso bars…I also love the dark chocolate and raspberry squares. Yum!

    Now I want chocolate…

I’m a chocoholic too and like you, I love eating chocolate cake batter. I used to fight with my brother when we were kids over the batter each time my mom baked chocolate cake πŸ™‚

I’m addicted to Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the vegan version of Nutella. They also make chocolate almond butter and AMAZING peanut butter cups. Okay now I have to go have some. NOM!

  15. Jill Weaver says:

I was recently introduced to Nutella and now have it in my cabinet. Family members that are staying with us for the holidays are addicted to this culinary treat. You gave me a good chuckle first thing this morning!

Thanks for liking my calendar Perl 6 article. Just a tip: maybe you cant get “rapunzel” out of Germany but it whole league above Nutella IMO. Since i know these and some other organic nut-choc-creames I stopped looking for nutella.

    Happy Hollidays

I am eating a Godiva dark chocolate rasberry filled bar right now… Mmmmm… and saw your post. Grew up with Nutella but don’t eat too much of it now. Guess I lost the desire for those “nutricious” sandwiches I made as a kid!

  19. David Richey says:

I too love chocolate but prefer the dark variety. I also have an affinity for M&Ms, with peanuts/

Love it, love the post. Love the love for chocolate. So many people deny themselves chocolate, you embrace chocolate and all its yummyness. Choc bake batter is amazing. πŸ™‚

  21. Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart says:

Chocolate is the favorite at our place (the convent). As there are varieties of chocolates, people like all sorts. Some like milk chocolate like you while others the dark, like me. Some cannot have just one and others take one a day, so it can last…like me. Once someone gave me Lady Godiva’s chocolate and it was so good it lasted 2 months.

  22. lovelyiskey says:

I LOVE Nutella!!! SOOOO goooood. Chocolate has gotten better to me over time. Now there is hardly anything I enjoy more than a brownie, choc chip cookie, or nutella on toast. MmmMmmm

I used to be the same way. I always hated dark chocolate and was a hersheys milk chocolate girl through and through…until about 6 months ago. Something happen and those preferences flip flopped! I now only like dark chocolate and am even turned off by the smell of a milk chocolate hershey bar. It’s so bizarre!!!

  25. Joyce Kelmer says:

love your this post! I’m a chocolate lover too , it really makes me happy… love hershey’s w/ almonds, milk chocolates, butterfinger and kitkat

and just like you, i never like dark chocolates… πŸ™‚

  26. sportsattitudes says:

Wife and I are split on dark chocolate. She totally agrees with you. I am a tad more tolerant of it although I certainly wouldn’t “pig out” on it like milk chocolate…in ALL and EVERY way it can be “delivered” to me. Chocolate = Happy!

  27. fourbluehills says:

I LOVE chocolate. Like you I like all kinds. Except one. I do not like White Chocolate, I never have. It is so rich it makes my stomach queasy and I have never understood the fact that people like it so much. I, on the other hand, love Dark Chocolate. πŸ™‚ It is one of my favorites! Chocolate is just good, period. πŸ˜‰

  28. King Jaz says:

Hi πŸ™‚ I also LOOOOOOOOVE chocolate. I actually really like dark chocolate; it’s my favourite type of chocolate.

Also, thank you for liking my blog posts and following it. I really appreciate it πŸ˜€

  29. claudiagiulia says:

I will confess…..I have been eating Nutella since I was a child (it’s a staple for Italian kids) but the way I have always eaten it, and still do, is to dispense with the bread altogether, and savor it straight from the spoon. Heavenly! And this is from a Pastry Chef who swears by dark chocolate! I even figured out a way to make it so I can avoid the preservatives…

  30. ikhsha21 says:

I love Nutella as well! But ever since i moved into my own home, i’ve been giving Nutella with bread a miss. I don’t even know why…
Recently, the wife updated our fb status: “H: Right now, i feel like… eating nutella from the jar! Just me, the spoon and nutella!” Cute.
Anyway, thanks for following! Great post!

  31. michelle gd says:

    mmm…yes to chocolate!
i have not tried nutella, though i have friends who adore it (like you). one of these days i’ll have to give it a try. i hear it’s dangerous πŸ˜‰

  32. psychodynamom says:

You CANNOT know how much I MISS Nutella! At 43, I developed a vicious allergy to all tree nuts and can’t have it anymore. [tears] It makes ordering in restaurants a huge pain also. [more tears] I’ll eat Nutella vicariously through this post! Thanks for stopping by my blog today πŸ™‚
