Getting Back to My Roots – The Armenian Community

After a long hiatus, I am heading back into the doors of my local Armenian community centres and churches. Time to return back and do more things and be active in the community. I have been so out of the loop lately. After going through many things of life in the last little while, I decided that it is time and its now. I need a new perspective on life and what matters to me the most. One of them is giving a helping hand and being there for my Armenian community. 2 more hands make a big difference and its something that makes me feel incredible. In the past I have accomplished, achieved and been through a lot with meeting so many people, then being globally well known in the Armenian Community is something so incredibly amazing and awesome. The ultimate was visiting my Motherland Armenia in 1999.

I have done so much for my Armenian community in the past and here are many to list…

- I have been in the committee for Jr. ACYOC
– I have been in the committee for Sr. ACYOC (Armenian Church youth Organization of Canada) for over 11 years.

- Assisted in St Sahag, St Mesrob Armenian Saturday School for 4 years. I have also attended from 1989-1999 which I graduated grade 8…
– Assisted in the Armenian Sunday School for 2 years.

- I have been in Nor Serount (New Youth) New Generation) Newsletter publication for 2 years

- Assisted with Communications/Social Media advertising for Holy Trinity Armenian Church Toronto for 2 and a half years

- Assisted with the Armenian Genocide commemoration in Ottawa for 3 years.

- for Bible Study sending out e-mails and being the communications director working with the priest and committee of Bible Study…

- Organized Armenian Camping trips of which one year I was the head of the team and brought over 70 people from Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and other places to a Camping trip in Kingston, Ontario…

- Was part of Sassoun Dance Ensemble for a year.

- Went on a pilgrimage to Montreal in 2007 with the Armenian Church

- Participated in Many ACYOC Armenian Youth Sports weekends from 2003-2011

- Visited a Nursing home with Armenian Bible Study to spend time with the elderly.

- Assisted in Wrapping Presents for children with Armenian Bible Study at Childrens Aid Society

- Went to Vancouver BC for a sports weekend, then went to several meetings in Kingston, Montreal, and Ottawa…

More to come in the future. There is no stopping me now.

I am going to be blogging quite more frequently now and I am going to try my best not to miss a day of writing of course when I am not traveling and when I can get a few minutes through the day to write and keep in touch with my readers/viewers fans and more.

I have missed all of you and hopefully life is great for you all.

New Trends – Just Because Someone Has it – Doesn’t Mean I Have To

You may or may not have heard, seen and witnessed the many individuals whom wait in line at a store to get their hands on the newest trending in technology, fashion or other things and people want to be the first ones to purchase it, when a few months down the road or the year after they still have the same product people wait hours and hours and sometimes days for in line, and bring chairs, tents, blankets and food while they wait, which I find to be very pathetic and a total waste of time. I would utilize my time better like getting on with daily life, priorities and so much more, then having to wait for something in line. I know a lot of companies love that attention and love the money that they receive from their customers. As long as they see that green they make, its all that matters to them and some people fall for the tricks and always come up with new things so people keep on them. However, they won’t see that from me.

The only things I would wait in line for is if I have to use the washroom, if I am waiting to go on a trip to check in at the airport for my trip or whatever the case maybe that is important. Not some gadget, fashion, or whatever it is.

However, I am not one of those individuals who just because other people have to have the newest trends and products, doesn’t mean I have to as well. I can wait for it. I am my own person, and I do not like to copy others and follow people. It is not going to be the end of the world if I do not purchase that product right away. I can get it cheaper and better in months time.

A lot of people tell me why I do not have this and I do not have that, its simple, I am content, happy and satisfied with what I have, and I do not need to try and impress others because I am always up with the new trends. Around the world people do not even have shoes, clothing or when they do is when its ripped up, or anything. what should they say? I have traveled enough to know that and they are living a lot happier, and stress free with smiles on their faces. I have witnessed that. Traveling, reading the world news and seeing it with your own eyes makes you realize a lot of things about life.

Some people should be fortunate enough, and satisfied with what they and we have instead of always wanting more, always being picky about what we want, and waiting in line for a product for days and hours and hours is something that is foolish and outright craziness and does not make any sense to me whatsoever.

I mean okay if it means for you stay in line and if it makes you happy, do it, but think about it. Its foolish. Where is the common sense?

What do you think of that? What is your opinion on this?

The World of Music – What Kind Do You Enjoy?

In my life growing up, I have had the pleasure of listening to so many types of music, especially from my culture, and while traveling to tropical Caribbean destinations. I am into the Armenian, Arabic, Greek, Persian, Lebanese, Bachata, Steel Drums, Merengue, Mariachi, Salsa, Cuban, Reggaeton, Spanish, Latin, Italian, Pop, Alternative, Zumba, Reggae, Fete, Soca, Caribbean Music, Tropical Music, Nature Music, and sometimes I enjoy listening to the 80’s and 90’s to bring back the days of great quality music. I even listen to the 70’s too although I was not around back then, but I did grow up with a lot of different types of music which has been amazing.

Nowadays, I have been listening to a lot of tropical music which makes me feel like I am on the beach with the salt water, the ocean breeze and so much more. Music is a universal language that everybody understands and there are so many types, its countless.

What kind of music do you and your family and friends enjoy? Do you enjoy it on your own, or with people? What gets you in the mood? Do you have days where you listen to one type and another day another type? I am sure for every mood there is music. Would love to hear from you.

Keep Calm and Music on! :)

Feeling Left Out – Worst Feeling Ever

In life one of the worst feeling is about feeling left out and its terrible having to find out friends make plans without you and do not even tell you about it until having to find out after. It is such a terrible feeling to go through and no one should have to go through it.

Sometimes these things happen to open up our eyes about certain people who do not appreciate you for who you are, and these are the things to know where you stand and what to do in future. So, Don’t worry about others who do not appreciate you. The person who comes to your life and does not leave you to the curb and leaves you out to dry is someone to keep in your life.

Have you been through a situation where friends, cousins, or anyone go out without your knowledge, then having to find out about it through pictures, a slip up in a conversation on another gathering, finding out from other sources. It is the crummiest feeling ever and nobody should be subject to those terrible feelings.

A real friend will tell you that they will be hanging out or something and will always involve you, will always ask you if you are available. True friends will never leave you high and dry, they will not keep anything from you, they will not lie to you, they will not use you.

True friends help each other, love each other unconditionally, who enjoys each others presence, who make memories together, who go through thick and thin together, who spend time together, who advise, involve each other in everything and anything in our lives.

I know it is a terrible feeling, but look at it this way, you know where you stand, you know who not to involve in things in your life when you make plans, and you definitely know who not to trust anymore. Choose your circle carefully and do what you feel is right for you. Feeling alone is terrible, but being with the wrong people will make you feel more alone. Keep that in mind. Best wishes to you!

Actor Robin Williams Dies at 63 – Sad News

It is with heavy heart to have to report that my childhood actor, comedian and talent Robin Williams died on August 11, 2014 in California of apparent suicide. He made everyone else laugh and entertained everyone, while he was struggling with depression and mental illness. Robin was Born on July 21, 1951. His death came as such a shock to me. I was drinking a glass of Orange juice this evening, and I almost dropped it from my hand when I saw the news. I cannot believe this happened. I cannot stop crying tonight inside and out. I have so many tears rolling down my cheeks. I just cannot stomach this. It has hit home to me very hard.

My favourite movies of Robin Williams are Good Will Hunting, Mork and Mindy, Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Hood, Hook, Happy Feet, Aladdin, RV, Jack, Nine Months, Dead Poets Society, Patch Adams, and many more.

Although I never personally met or knew Robin, but I felt like I did. I have and will always be a fan of him and I will miss Robin Williams terribly and I will forget remember all the memories and his movies. I think I will run a Robin Williams movie-a-thon this week to honor and remember him. His Legacy will forever remain alive, always in our hearts, in entertainment forever. God rest his Soul.

My thoughts and prayers go out to His loved ones and the Hollywood Family, The Academy, Oscars, and Everyone whom he had touched, entertained, Sad day in Hollywood indeed. My Fellow Fans and I were devastated more than words can say. :( Shocking does not even begin to describe our feeling. REST IN PARADISE and in Peace Robin Williams.

The Dream to Meet Mark Zuckerberg – Founder of Facebook

Recently in the last 10 years or so, social media has been booming and blossoming like wild flowers. It is incredible how social media is such a viral and powerful tool in our lives which many of us use it for our businesses, ourselves, to communicate with friends, family and colleagues, and Mark Zuckerberg made that possible with Facebook. Mark is the founder and creator of the giant social media outlet and now more than a billion users are on the website.

All of a sudden A few weeks ago, as I was sleeping, I had this dream that I had met with Mark Zuckerberg and we teamed up to build another social media and networking outlet called “SocialCore” which went viral in seconds, which then millions of people joined our launched website within the week. I remember in my dream, I had flown to California in San Francisco, then Chicago, New York, Boston, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal and other places to brand, market and do many interviews with Mark Zuckerberg to Television, YouTube and other media outlets in Newspapers and more. Then it went global to other continents of the world. It was something so incredible. It was quite the exciting dream, that I didn’t want to wake up, and just keep letting it happen.

Now, with all that said, I really want to meet the King of Facebook, and have dinner with him, and discuss about the leading industry of our world, and pick his brain about this awesome trend of social media going on. Mark and I are only a year and 14 days apart.  It is quite amazing to communicate to people across the world and send e-mails, messages, pictures, videos, likes, groups and other things in an instant. Without this industry, I wouldn’t have met most of my friends whom are so close to me now, I would not have had such beautiful and great fans who support me and my blog, and so much more like they are my family which they are part of my family which I am ever so grateful for Facebook and the journey I am going through now and will never stop. Thank you Mark Zuckerberg. I can hug you a thousand, million times. I appreciate it very much.
