You Are Never Told Old To Learn Something New.

In the recent and In the many years I have been in the community around me, I have always heard people talking negatively about themselves and age, and they have said that, I am too old to learn anymore, I am too old to do things, but no on the contrary, everyone learns everyday and don’t even realize it. Everyday passing day we learn something new about ourselves, we learn about something new in the world, we learn about our loved ones, and about what all of us love to do. You are never too old to learn things. People always put themselves down and that should not happen. Each one of us are different in how we learn, some learn by listening, some learn by doing, some learn by following instructions in a manual. Each and every one of us learn in our special ways. Some of us are fast learners, and some of us take time, but in the end we are learning and that is something so much more special than anything else. The worst thing you can do to yourself is put yourself down and say mean things about yourself, saying I am a failure, I am someone who doesn’t know anything or can’t learn anything. When you put your mind to something you can do it and you can excel. There is no such thing as can’t. All it takes is time and effort and things will fall into place, but if you keep on bringing yourself down all the time, that is not the right approach to anything in life and that makes you look weak and inferior to everyone else.

Be yourself, and do yourself a favour, don’t think about those who bring you down and your confidence down and those who always have something to say to you about yourself and your willingness to learn. I have put all that negativity behind me and I see clearly now than I have ever before. I have this new profound love for learning and I am working on my dreams and working very hard. With Hard work, determination and confidence you can get anywhere, and it starts with learning everyday, excelling to achieve and attain new goals. I am very excited and happy with the new adventures I am about to take in my life. I am destined and determined to have my own talk show on television, I am determined to go through those obstacles, and challenges and I look forward to it all. You need to go through struggles in order to cross the bridge and be in your home plate with new adventures that will take you places in this world. I am super excited to learn all of this and it is such a great feeling to know and finally find my passion and something I am destined to do for people around the world, to inspire, to uplift, for people around me, communities of the world, my loved ones, and for myself for last. I think of others a lot before I think of myself and I am going to get my own talk show and I am going to reach the rainbow, and I am determined to make a difference in this world because this world needs a big make over and this world needs big changes and I plan to help with that more than anything else in this world.

It will be a challenge to get up there, but it won’t be long now. I am almost there. I just need to find the right connections, the right people and I appreciate and thank everyone who has supported me along the way with my loved ones, fans, and everyone else who is important to me who follow my blogs, who read my blogs. You all are important to me, and I thank you all for the beautiful comments I receive and everything you all have said and done for me. Thank you to my rebloggers, thank you to my pingbacks, thank you for promoting my blog, thank you for promoting my fan page on facebook which I have on the right side menu on top and thank you all for inspiring me to keep writing everyday and going for my dreams. Facebook’s New Timeline – Much Better Than The Previous

This morning, I woke up did my morning routine with washing up, eating breakfast, washing my dishes and I decided to get on my Facebook to check my messages and notifications, and I go to my Facebook Page and I see that the timeline is changed and I think this way it is better. All your wall messages, and things you post are on the right side whereas everything else from the liked pages and interests are on the other side. Last year I could not respond to all my birthday messages because they all got lost in the older timeline. Now it will be no problem to respond to them all. This new timeline is so much better. I can finally read things properly and I can finally do things on my page without having to struggle all the time. Do you like the new timeline? Do you like the way Facebook is now?

I’d still prefer the old fashioned way before the timeline was introduced though, but this is a great vast improvement on Facebook’s part which I am enjoying now. I can communicate better with my family, friends and fans, I can update it better and everything else. I remember when I did the mistake of switching to the first timeline, and where a lot of people were still on the original facebook and then eventually everyone got it, but I admit this new timeline is great and it brings a whole new twist into social media and communications. I can see everything more clearly and that is the way it is supposed to be.

Traveling Pen-Pals – Are You Still In Touch With Them?

I remember when I was a child, I first traveled on a plane with Royal Airlines which is no longer in service back in mid 90′s, I remember traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico when I met new friends on the plane and I got their phone numbers and address, and I kept in touch with them for 3-4 years and then we drifted apart, and then I remember going to Florida, in Daytona Beach, and I had gone there for 2 weeks for Christmas and New Years, and I met great people from England, United Kingdom and we had seen each other and hung out with each other quite a bit and then we ended up getting each others address, and phone numbers, but we only sent each other mail and became pen-pals and sent pictures to each other. We still keep in touch since 1997. As the years went by, and my travels increased, I ended up meeting so many different people in the world and I still keep in touch with people I met from Russia, England, Armenia, Vancouver, in other parts of Ontario, Canada where I met them on my trips, and it was so awesome. We have each other on Facebook and we have each others e-mails and its such a great thing.

When you travel around the world, you meet so many different people with different views and lifestyles on life, and the way people see things and different opinions, and its so good. Travel and People experience has been part of my life since day one. I love being social and interactive with so many people. When I travel, I tend to bring up subjects and meet random people when I am at resorts, cruise ships, planes and airports. This last trip I did go on however, it was quite different, we all spoke and kept bumping into each other and met some really cool folks, but I ended up not getting any  phone numbers, e-mails, addresses. I don’t know what happened to me this time, but I had written a review on trip advisor online and one of them spotted me and my pictures, and she wrote to me and said Hi remember me from the hotel? I said Oh yes I do, She said I am sorry we didn’t get each others contacts, but thank goodness you wrote something on our hotel we stood at or else I would have never found you. You had told me your name, but I wouldn’t have known how to spell it to begin with, so she said I am glad I checked. So at least I am keeping in touch with one of the people I met now.

I had always carried around a small notebook and pen with me in my little purse around the hotel in case I met someone interesting, nice and great, but I never got to asking them. I was just so excited to be away and enjoy the hotel and everything else. There are so many people you meet, some you see again, some you don’t get to see again. I miss my friends in United Kingdom, Russia, and other places. I want to see them again and soon. Hopefully. Have you had a pen-pal? Be Patient With Social Media & Networking – It Takes Time & Dedication

In this new generation and in time of social media and networking with this new age in Internet communications technology with information being transmitted in seconds all over the world with so many types of gadgets and electronic devices, I am sure business people, bloggers, advertisers, designers, web designers, those seeking employment, social marketing, promoters feel the pressure of so much competition going on around them with networking and all the time spent with promotions, making a living with billions of people on the world wide web, and As I am sure my fellow bloggers and I feel the pressure all the time. It is an interesting time we live in these days with everything simplified for us and how incredible time has changed with the new age in technology. Now although most companies want you to send an electronic mail resume and cover letter to the employer and sometimes you wonder are they deleting it or are they really reading the resume and cover letter? There maybe 200 applicants for that position. Nowadays it’s become so hard to seek employment because so many people are seeking the same things. Its become such a stressful time, but I believe that patience and getting the right networking and knowing the right people will get you there. Unfortunately it is like that now. It is not a matter of what you know anymore, it is who you know in that company or a referral.

It is just like the way it takes time to build your online profile, sometimes it takes less. It depends on how you promote yourself and how you portray yourself. It takes a lot of patience, determination, dedication to get on up there. The internet has many people, and if social networking, marketing, promotions, writing, blogging, and being a guest blogger for any company or anyone, and if it is your calling, do it, and charge people with a decent amount and do research on how much you should charge for your services, and if you are good at what you do, and how you do it, they will hire you, no problem. Hey, were all great at doing something in the world, and it is important to get yourself out there and not be afraid of taking chances and doing the best of your ability, Creating an online profile for yourself is great, a portfolio is great so that you can share your accomplishments, and when people give you blogging awards, inspirational awards, and if you are on so many peoples blog sites with ping backs, link backs, these are all a plus and when you include all this in your page, you will be praised and you will go to great lengths.

In recent weeks, I have been more interactive with my fans, and those who come to my blog and I try to reply to as many comments as I am able to. I love visiting other peoples blogs, and give them a boost. I know some people struggle to get people to come to their blogs to read what is happening in their world and what they are up to and among writing for a living and making something out of themselves. It takes a long time and I do feel what they are feeling. I started blogging in another blog provider on Google, and I was not getting anywhere and in one year I had about 5000 people only visiting my site and I felt like I was getting no where. My friend suggested WordPress and I said, let me make an account there and in no time at all, the stats kept increasing and when I began to write more and make more content, things just took off from there. I know some of my blogs require improvement on my writing style, and little bit of the grammar, but I am learning and It is never too late to learn. Social Networking is such a great tool and it will take time and effort, but working at it hard will get you to places, you wouldn’t even imagine.

Maintaining your blog, and maintaining your social networking profiles with new content, and also when you create a twitter account and know how to tweet, you will see a big difference and you will see many people and companies starting to follow you. When you are on Facebook, be mindful to know what your posting and how you are posting it. It is good to keep your standards and everything about you high. Keep your head up high, and do not write so many negative status messages and negative quotes as people pick up on it and they wouldn’t want to engage and be interested with someone who is always bringing themselves down. Bring yourself up, and always write about positivity, determination and things you are good at, and qualities that you have. It is important to put yourself out there with the right attitude, enthusiasm and mean what you say when you write positivity and when you say nice things and be kind to others, and make yourself and your reputation high, the sky is the limit and you will have so many offers and so many opportunities knocking, but it all starts with the way you portray your character and your willingness to try and do your best. You can do it, and will see how you will improve.

How you social network and how you deal with situations online will always be something people will remember and don’t be afraid to put your name out there, because your social networking profile will be like your business card and its important to put a nice and professional photo of yourself or a nice photo of you everywhere and keep that trend going. There are many websites such as facebook, twitter, pinterest, YouTube, linkedin, myspace, and more websites that will make it easy for you, but it is all up to you and in your hands on how you deal with the way you handle yourself online. When your a blogger and when your a dedicated blogger, and want to excel and do your best, engage with other authors and those who have published books in the past and contact them and ask them how its done and what is involved. The internet is the biggest research hub of the world. You can find all the tips and tricks and contact information to people. You will be amazed.

I Have Been So Blessed With So Much! Thank You!

In The past 6-7 Months that I started using WordPress for my blogs, and I started to write here, I never knew how far I would get. I have been so blessed with so many viewers, so many people who are interested in my writings and those who search my blog and search terms on several search engines and it gets directed to my site. I truly appreciate everyone who comment and who engage into my blog. I read them all, but I will get to reply back to them. Due to my busy schedule throughout the day, but I will get to them and that is a promise from me. I have been so blessed with so many opportunities since I started blogging, and my first public speaking will be in Montreal, Quebec to talk to the Armenian Youth and Teens on important issues that are happening in our society now with bullying, with other important social issues that I need to address to them. I saw people from Montreal this weekend when I was at a Armenian Youth Getaway in Kingston, Ontario and they came up to me and they have been aware of my blog and what I write on my blog, so they asked me if I wanted to come to Montreal to speak to the youth and teens there and I jumped on the opportunity and I said yes of course. Going to Montreal is very easy for me.

So that is my big break, my first time in front of an audience addressing these issues. I have done a whole lot of public speaking before, but not this kind. I cannot wait to get up there and talk to so many people. I will be going toward the end of August beginning September when the schools start again and when the youth will be there for me to talk to them. I believe that it is important to have these discussions with teens and these seminars and assemblies so that it gets embedded into them and so they become educated about these issues. It is very important to me and I am excited for this experience that is coming up, and I cannot wait to head to Montreal again. Furthermore, I have just been blessed all around with my facebook fanpage “A writer named Talin Orfali”, along with everything else. God, My Family, My Friends, My Blog Supporters, My Blog Subscribers, everything in between, I just want to thank everyone for taking the time out of their lives to read what I have to say about issues, to read about what I have to say in my point of view, to read about my life and my experiences. It means a lot to me. I am sometimes at a loss of words and I feel so incredible, I feel so great, so happy.

Finally things have turned around for me for the better. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’d rather spend time with my blog, communicating with people online and socially, going to getaways with my fellow people, and doing something worth while in life instead of spending hours watching TV that will not do any good for me since there is crap on TV These days. I would rather reach out to others, and be there for others and do my best to make sure this world is a happy and positive place with a lot of people with joy, laughter and optimism. I love people and its my priority to help people emotionally and mentally. blogging has taught me so much about myself and my strengths and this is the one that has stood out to be the best one out of everything else. Becareful What You Write & Post About People On Social Networking Sites

Lately this issue has been becoming more common as there are people who write terrible things about others and who gossip about others spreading rumors and spreading out bad messages about someone. It is really not nice to do so. You never know the person you talk bad about will eventually find out about it. What goes around comes around as they say. It is very important to be careful what you write and spread around about others. I believe those people who gossip about people to you, will gossip to others about you. Gossiping about others is not a great trait to develop. It is a form of bullying. I have seen so much of this happen online and on facebook, twitter, and other social networking sites and I am not liking it at all. Whatever happened to being kind and respectful to each other?

Did you know that even after deleting messages and terrible posts never goes away? You may think your terrible message about somebody is gone forever, but your completely wrong. It stays on the internet forever or up to 7 years in the Internet database. Anything posted, anything that you do is documented. Haven’t you ever googled or searched on search engines and come across old websites and other websites and you see a screenshot or cached file on the side? Well, those are the things that stay and it never goes away and if you have written something terrible, it will be documented. So be careful how you use the internet and be careful what you write. The Internet can be a dangerous place and it can be used against you. So just beware of what you write and post.

When it comes to posting pictures or anything, it is very important to first ask people if you can post pictures up of them or something. You wouldn’t like it if a person just posts your pictures without your permission now would you? It is always good to ask. You have the right to refuse your picture being posted even on facebook or whatever social site. Before you post something think twice about it. Is it a good thing? Is it something necessary? Sometimes what you do, can be misinterpreted and misused in a terrible way and people will not like it and may think differently than you will about something. Another thing is to never point fingers on anybody and make others uncomfortable. If you are going to write something, do it in a general statement, and do it in a way where it will not offend people. Proper etiquette is a must on the internet as its shared by billions of people around the world and anybody can come across what you do post.

The internet is a great place to be and there is so much you can learn online and so much you can do, but be mindful and careful how you utilize the internet and how you portray yourself. It is very important.

Have fun and communicate online, but if you have a problem with a person and if you have an issue with them, take it up with them, don’t share and put them on the spot for everyone to read and see. Its not nice. If you have a problem, take it up with them privately. It is that simple.

The Illiterate Generation We Live In Today

In this generation, we have a big problem on our hands and they are computers and calculators. As technology booms with newly sophisticated gadgets and the decades go on by, I have noticed that people actually do not know the basic math skills and always resort to a calculator to find the answers or their mobile phones or the computer. Sometimes I see people struggling with basic words and words in general are spelled incorrectly. I know some of my blog posts have a few punctuation errors and everything I am guilty in that, and I am not talking about those who have a hard time learning, they are exempt from all this, but I am saying that the use of pens, paper, and everything is going, and I go to the stores like staples, and office supply stores and dollar stores that have pens, papers and everything and they still sit there and hardly touched. I mean where do we draw the line to all of this? at my time when in elementary school and before that we were never allowed a calculator during a test or when we are doing math in class and we would have to show our work and do everything the hard way and we succeeded. It was a great time where simplicity was at its best and people learned a lot better and kids learned proper ways of learning and doing math and doing grammar. Boy have times really changed. Children these days should be so lucky that they have the easy way out. It’s not a proper way to be educated. I know some children who do not even know how to hold a pencil and I know some children to teenagers who they’re penmanship is like 3 or 4 year old and it is such an extremely sad thing.

Nowadays its now all about text messaging, using calculators, and spell check on the computer, but there really is no effort and work being put in by people these days. Everything is so easy these days. Its sad. These children and these teenagers are our next generation and they are the ones will take over the world someday and its a pretty scary thought to think of the future as illiteracy will be on the rise and that education will not be the way it was and its starting out to be that way as decades go on and more sophisticated products come out to make people be more illiterate. It is all in the way of the school systems and what is brought into the schools. Before there was no such thing as typing up essays, and homework, everything was done by hand, and a lot more hours were spent on doing homework everyday, people did crafts, people did all kinds of things before the computers and all this stuff was invented.

Again this does not apply to everyone. I am saying all this in a general perspective and my opinions and thoughts on this situation. I know our lives have become easier and technology took over, but it is always special to actually sit down and take time to write a paragraph or write something down and write personal letters, and just write an essay or two about your day about your experiences, like a diary. It is imperative that these things be taught and I know schools have people write with pencil and everything, but the whole purpose of children, teens and adults go to school is to learn properly, to learn how to write well, to learn to appreciate the art of learning and to strengthen future, because if in our future decades and generation we see more illiterate people, then this is going to become a huge problem than it already is.

I also find many errors in professional newspapers, ads, signs, in grocery stores, and everything. I catch onto it. Its sad.

Know your limit when it comes to technology. Yes computers and calculators are fine tools and they  are incredible with communication with family and friends, and researching about places, animals, things, subjects, society, but that should be the limit. take it to the limit and the rest try to learn it on your own. again this does not apply to those who have a hard time. Your Internet Browser — Which do you Prefer?

Recently my curiosity on testing out different internet browsers became of big interest to me, and all I kept using was internet explorer as my main browser, but I noticed that Internet explorer has been running a lot slower than other internet browsers. Sometimes it would take forever to look at pictures, to post on my blog, and do so many things that I need to do, I decided to test out different internet browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari and so far Google Chrome and Firefox are the ones I really like. Internet explorer doesn’t give you that many options whereas the Chrome and Firefox are so incredible and super fast. I checked my e-mail, Facebook, twitter in a matter of 5 Minutes. Its incredible. I went to Safari as well and I was on there briefly, not so much to test it out. In comparison the internet explorer, I find that these browsers are far more secure and faster and it makes my life a lot easier and it makes blogging and e-mailing a lot more simpler.

I am glad I made the switch to Firefox and Google Chrome. I am using both now. Are there any other web browsers I do not know about? Are there any special websites to find out on the rating of internet browsers? With the internet being so compact on so much information and so many websites, I often find myself in a spiral and I do not know where to go, or which websites to really believe in ratings and information as some of them can be misleading and it makes things a lot more confusing. Even though I am great at Internet searching and I have a lot of knowledge on how to do things on the computer and everything, but sometimes it is so confusing and I wouldn’t know the best websites to fit my needs and what I want to look for in terms of the best things out there and I am asking you my readers to fill me in on the latest technology so on and so forth.

I mean this is what blogging and sharing ideas when blogging is all about. We learn from each other and different beliefs, and people offer great suggestions, opinions and everything. Its what I love to see and Its awesome to see how people interact with each other. sharing, giving and learning is what its all about and I value my readers and supporters opinions and suggestions. Its what makes blogging so much more fun with a lot of interaction and all that jazz. The Internet has taught me a lot about so many things and its an educational and great invention and I am so happy from the inventors. Now we have a world of technology and a world of communication where we can share, comment, and do so many things in the internet community. All the best!

Being Used, Then Put To The Side When Not Needed Anymore…

Lately, I have been feeling really used by people and its not a pleasant thing to go through. I have been through so much in my life like people bullying me, and keeping me left out of things in peoples lives and all that was a thing of the past, but now I am dealing with another dilemma, and that is people using me. I am only approached to if people need something, then the rest of the time, they act like they do not even know you, and say who is she? It is really a terrible feeling and I hope nobody else has to go through those problems. I myself have been there so many times where people wouldn’t give you the time of day, but conveniently they are there when you are needed.

I must learn to put my foot down, my good nature and soft heartedness, I am always end up doing it for them. Now that Facebook, Twitter, Youtube is out many people ask me to advertise they’re links and I do it, but there is a limit. There is this quote which I really love but do not know who the writer is, but it says: “Never make people a priority, when you are just an option to them”. I should take that advice and words of wisdom and put to good use. I should say no once in a while, it won’t hurt me. I will just find out who my true friends are by just doing so. I know there are still great people in this world, but very rare to find these days and very rare to find people whom do not use others.

Now days, whenever I see pictures of people having fun with each other on facebook, they are at a party, then I have to find out after the fact of that gathering or something and it is extremely hurtful to me and feeling excluded from things is not something that I feel good about. I cannot even begin to think how many times I have cried myself to sleep, thinking I am just a book that is read and put back on the shelf and not needed anymore, or those clothes that have been worn and put back in the closet to never be worn again. Its terrifying to feel this way and its not a great feeling at all. All the times I have been bullied, and put to the side when I was a kid, comes back to haunt me and no matter how much we try to forget it, it always there. It just doesn’t make sense to me and I am still trying to figure it out.

I want to have fun in my life, I want to put all those bad feelings and put them in the past and start fresh, but its not happening for me and sometimes all I want to do is just have some fun, and be invited to gatherings, be invited and have great conversations with people whom I know, not just one or two word conversations then I get put to the side and I am not noticed all night and I am just there by myself where nobody would talk to me for long periods of time. Its crazy. I do have friends now and everything and I am greatful to that and I have people whom I go out with Friday nights and stuff, but I am just so tired of being used then put out to the curb on Garbage day because that is how I feel at times and its just so ridiculous. I do not get why people have to act this way to other people. Its not a great feeling at all and I know all of this first hand. I hope nobody else has to go through this.

How Social Networking & Communication Has Changed The World.

Many years ago communicating with the world and our family and friends across the world was so much more difficult with just snail mail, telegraphs, and many many long distance charges to our telephone bills, and wondering when our mail will get to our recipients. It is incredible how communication has changed the world and day to day communicating with our loved ones around the world has gotten so much easier. Now majority of our world is connected on the internet and use several different types of social networking such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Myspace, Linkedin, Tumblr, Stumble Upon, Digg it, and so many more. Everyday as technology advances and new gadgets are introduced, its interesting how technology has evolved and many inventors, and companies simplify our lives with all these smartphones, Iphones, Blackberry Messenger, tablets and more. Some of us cannot keep up with the trends.

In the olden days nobody had any of these things and how people used to live without technology is so interesting and many people of those days did other things hands on with crafts, inventing games, and a lot of people used to play outside and do more interactive things, but now since all these things have come up, you don’t really see children and adults out there in residential areas playing, or going for a simple bike ride. I think there should be a limit to computer use and technology and make some time for family, friends, and extra curricular activities or simply take a break from gadgets. Although its important to keep in touch with people whom you do not see in your own town and everything, but these gagdets shouldn’t take over your life.

Now that e-mail has been introduced for so many years, postal companies are working less because of paper mail diminishing. I guess its good for the environment and saves trees and paper, but its also not good for the postal workers either, so its a lose lose situation, but e-mail is extraordinary and it acts like paper mail as you can attach files, photos, videos. Don’t get me wrong, I am loving and digging this technology, but its also nice to receive paper mail and it looks more official and it feels nice to open it up. Although E-mail is such an incredible tool, I still think Original forms of communication are far more classy, but then again everybody has their own opinions and are entitled to them. This is just my thoughts on this subject. Use Social and Communication devices, but use them wisely and responsibly.
